I got bored of how terrible PvP in games usually is a LONG time ago.
The constant imbalance, the garbage matchmaking, awful maps/game modes, the limitations on when you can play (Due to reliance on other players) etc.
Gimme PvE any day of the week. Bonus points if it's solo PvE so not only can I do it of my own volition whenever that may be but I also don't have to rely on anyone else not being a total derp to succeed.1 -

Outside of that, nope! I respect my time way too much to be playing ESO PvP in 2024. I’m on console so we don’t have the new BGs yet, but I’ll give that a try for 1-2 weeks just because it’s real new content.5 -

✭✭PVEGave up on pvp around the time dark convergence entered the chat, outside of events, due to the usual complaints: performance issues, balance, ballgroups.
And also because imo there really isn't a great pvp option for a more casual player. I'm getting older and busier and less competitive and don't have the time / desire to put in the time to stay competitive. Particularly given the poor state of pvp - if I feel the need to pvp at this point, I look elsewhere to scratch that itch with less frustration.4 -

✭✭✭✭PVEI really dislike PvP. I have never liked playing any games against other people; I much prefer playing cooperatively if I can't play solo.
The fact that there's no 'intro-level' PvP is also a major problem. I mean, yeah we have U50 campaigns, but that doesn't get solved by the fact that 1) just because someone is over lv 50 that they are suddenly a PvP expert, and 2) there are expert PvPers who just live in the U50 areas and trade gold gear between alts so they can still win.
But really, I just don't like competition. And nothing they ever do to PvP is going to make me enjoy it.4 -

✭PVEI was mainly PvP, but got fed up with the stagnation in Cyrodiil. As long as ballgroups exist I think I will avoiding it in ESO. I do miss 8 vs 8 in SWTOR where the class balance and forcing players to be good at either healing, tanking or dealing damage, not all 3 of them, made the PvP so much more fun.1 -

✭OtherI PvP or solo PvE. Often sits about 50/50 or 40/60. My experiences with group PvE are always so awful and toxic I just can't stand pugging anything anymore. I do a dungeon when it's released for the skill point and quest, then never again.0 -

Swtor is quite dead unfortunately, more or less in maintenance mode. Problem for ESO is that balancing this would be a huge undertaking and probably not a popular one for say, solo players and some others. But I do miss playing a PvP healer in that game while I did damage like a wet noodle. Or playing dd and having to rely on healers for heals.1
