Do whatever it takes depending on what's going on atm. Repair doors (best) and walls whenever you can if pvp killing has slowed down. Go to all calls for defense of a castle (better yet is the outposts since people still love to smash their face into the door as you pour oil on them) If PVP get's too slow, jump to your guest campaign server and accumulate AP, but spend them on your main server of course.

Ive seen emperors crowned and dethroned in less than 30 minutes before (seriously)

Its lunacy that someone shooting a ballista at a worthless wall is getting more of a score than someone standing 20 meters away from him actually engaged with enemy players in combat.

The emperorship is a silly numbers game and will always be dominated by those who farm the most points. Not the best players, not the most strategically sound, not the best leaders, not the most skillfull, but the ones that know how to make X points in Y time.

I am well aware of that. What I was saying is, if you are low on AP points and the kills are not coming in fast enough on your server, jump to your guest campaign and get AP points that way. Those AP points are then used on your home server to repair / buy siege etc.

...there has been update on this situation: With the new 2-week campaigns... players/elite guilds are now using it to farm emperor. DOing it on a 90 day is much harder due to duration but with this they can do it much faster.


As a result... the Emperor title is even more meaningless now. And players who are unlucky to be on such servers are being griefed alas...

I don't care who is emperor, because I have enough experience with Canadian politics to know it doesn't matter who is in charge, it's still going to be the same old BS.

I dont care, because I dont like the way you become emporer.

But its hard to do it right: k/d ratio would be something, preventing PvD players become emp, but then there are problems with healers.

Also emp should help the alliance so with k/d it may happen that solo gankers become emp.



Maybe they should check who is often leading raids and how successful this raids are.

Saw the 2wk campaigns emperor farming last night. Really was an awful, farce for pvp. 'don't defend keep' 'xxx is next to be emperor', 'xxx will retire then yyy is emperor', 'we head back to campaign once guild is all emperor' coupled with collusion with other alliances, it really showed how corrupt the system had become.

If it was the last title I had to get, the least I'd want to be known as is the clown that didn't exploit.

Reason: Oil pots... that's all you need to be emp.. camp in a tower and farm ap with oil.. On Wabba, as least when the new DC emp got crowned they were out wrecking face.. This new AD Emp hides in his tower and farms more ap, losing the whole map to the opposing factions but his one tower to farm in. It needs to be reviewed.

The Emperor Title is kind of like "the Flag" in Cyrodiil, and your faction having it is more of less a giant game of keep-away. Even if I never personally get that title, it certainly makes life interesting when the other side finally gets its act together and comes knocking. Without the Emperor Title itself, and the bonuses, there's not much incentive to fight over Keeps all the time.

I am primarily a PvP player, and I voted 'no.'

The title is not attainable for most players. It's the province of a hardcore few with appropriate support teams, willing and able to put in ridiculous hours. For the vast majority, it's not relevant.

It makes sense to have a singularly difficult-to-obtain distinction for the hardest of the hardcore. That's fine. However, ZOS needs to implement more rewards and incentives for those of us who PvP regularly, but not with that level of dedication.

If emperor was something that buffed your alliance (more) or your group, I'd say yes. As it is now, no.

I'm also not exactly thrilled with the exploiting and farm hacks people have used to attain these rewards. If you are willing to sacrifice that much of your time for something that's fine and you deserve it, just not if it's by cheating.

EDIT: the options in your poll are a bit misleading. "Care" can mean many things.

Change it to maybe 'are you happy with the current system' yes/no.

No; I mean "care" in the poll, not happy. For example I am not happy with system but I do "care" about it.

I wish I'd be the Emperor. But the amount of time online to achieve that is ridiculous. I did do everything I could in the beginning but then I learned some Emps were accounts that a whole guild would log on to be online 24/7. Whilst I agree Emperor should be the one that contribute most that is just ridiculous. I can't compete with 10 ppl on the same account, so I gave up. They definately have to implement another ways to judge the "best player" or have a rotation system.

I would simply enjoy being part of the campaign and having fun while still doing my best. I'm not against people who care about it and compete for it but I'm just not particularly interested in the title.

It feels like a ticket stub to a subpar movie. Not worth the paper it is printed on, not memorable and holds no personal value. Honestly there is no requirement for this title other than how much time you spend playing in game. You don't even have to have any ability to control your character, hell 3 campaigns are actively trading titles.

The amusement from things that were meant to feel rewarding in game that have ended up being an insult.

its like the guilds that are doing this are causing massive player loses for those who aren't part of the in crowd.. talking on teamspeak making deals with the other factions to trade emp around which will most likely kill the player base off those just starting to pvp will feel the burden the most and ask themselves why did i even buy a 3 month sub .. shoulda took it month by month lol i'm sure in a year or so after it settles down abit for population but on the other hand if they don't do something about it now this game will go f2p just like all the trolls want ..in essence people who are partaking in these methods to farm emp titles for their guild are killing the game why even have 3 different factions at this point
