Sadly the mechanic doesn't reward skilled play so I don't have a lot of interest in it. It is completely unobtainable by someone who doesn't waste the majority of their waking hours of the day doing and unlike say, Hero of the Horde/Alliance in WoW, it isn't something someone with a full-time job/study/family can even hope to achieve.

Frankly, I never liked the idea from the get-go. Spending time and resources catering to your most hardcore 1% of players is never a sound investment.

I am interested in becoming the emperor, but the only way to be an emporer is to be in a guild and do coordinated stuff. Or just spam vamp ult and grind your points. For me, that is no fun to claim the emperor title. (and not even possible for me ^^)

There should be more ways to gain the title, I'm an simple nightblade and can't aoe everyone around me like sorcerers and dk's can do.

Who wouldnt want the prestige of crowned Emp, if you like the AvA pvp side of the game? I think it's pretty cool to also have that Former Emp title. Would I ever be a contender to recieve it? No, I have real life priorities that prevent me from living "in game" more than RL. However, it stop prevent me from giving it my best shot when I am online with the time I can allow myself to play.

It's not up to me. Every action made in the game is solely based on my current character's personality profile. Normally ( almost always ) the MQ of the installment of the series is never played.

While some of my characters have an interest in the MQ of the game, none have any interest in the war effort whatsoever. PvP is irrelevant as I don't see players any differently than NPCs.

Usually, everything in the game world is out to kill you anyway and player controlled characters render on the screen just the same as any other character. Cyrodiil is just another hostile environment.

There is no PvE. There is no PvP. It's all world vs me.

In the end? No. The Emperor or the war is of no interest.

There are some level 15 Emperors. These guys get the title within a day of starting a new character.

Although I'll never become an emperor because I'm really bad at pvp, If I was I'd be like: "Ok I'm your emperor so you have to listen to me now! My first order as emperor is: Kill all the bees! I hate bees!"
If there was an emperor in my faction, I'd talk to him with respect. I mean he/she deserved it. It's not easy to become an emperor. Show him some gratitude for capturing all those keeps which allow you to move rather freely in Cyrodiil!

I'm on Auriel's Bow EU and the same names pop up as emperor constantly due to them mass AoE farming and getting stupidly high scores on the leaderboard.

There is absolutely no way for your average player to compete so it's always going to be a 3 or 4 horse race.

I've got no problem with that.

But i'm not interested in zerging just to get enough score to compete. Not that there is any chance of catching Pryda and his lot now.

Seriously, I don't even understand the reasons for fighting in the Alliance War... I mean, is an endless fight with no winning condition (tic-tac-toe anyone?) which
may be fun for a short or long while (for some) but for me is totally pointless...

Don't really care. It was cool to see the first few work to get it. But now it's locked out by people with accounts played by multiple people and by those who exploited the crap out of broken mechanics to kill entire armies by themselves or in a small exploit group.

It would be fun to be emperor for a day, but I don't like having unfair advantage over others, it would make me play sloppy and impact my normal gameplay in a negative way.

I also highly doubt you will see ANY of these emperors even in the top 20 next campaign reset. The top players will be support players who are active in using siege, repairing, and buffing allies.

PvP isn't balanced very well at the moment and I haven't hit V10. Not really worried about it. I do hope they iron out most if not all of the kinks, though, for when I might be interested.

The title of Emperor in itself is extremely important. However, as it now stands, the way it is assigned is a bit poor. The biggest no-lifer gets it. Kind of underwhelming.

Emperor means nothing to me. The only reason I would like Emperor would be for the passives, but I don't care enough about Emperor to try and get it. Emperor means you invested more time not more skill.

It is VERY attainable for a solo player or a person who plays in small groups. But you still need to put in the time and earn the points.
