Ok another bank space post

They keep adding things that take up space in either your bank or on the character. Some of the old thinks for quests never got moved to the quest area. I have to collect items to complete things and get something but they all use up bank space.

Scribing now adds a huge amount of space requirement to my person or bank.

even if I am ESO plus my space is disappearing.

You need to change this so quest items and scribing stuff doesn't take up my space!!!

If I am not ESO plus with what I like to carry I am almost full at all times. THIS IS A SUPER PAIN!!!

How exsactly does scribing add a huge bank space requirement?

Other than the ink there's only the scripts and those are a one and done, as in you learn the script and that's it tada, I need to hold onto more copies, unless you're going to get alts to learn things, in which case put them on the alt and learn them, tada, then any scripts you get you can vendor for 900 gold a piece.

They take up bank space to pass between alts. That can quickly add up if you don't get on each alt all the time.

Then that's a player issue not a bank space one, it dosn't even take 2 mins to swap characters.

Bank space is a sore topic, and I feel the pain myself. But the solution isn't adding more bank space, because that too will just eventually fill to the brim as ZoS releases yet more items into the wild.

One plausible solution would be alternate storage options. Like document storage that which functions like the craft bag, and only holds Treasure Maps. And I'm not greedy, I don't need the T-Maps to stack like many ask for. Just a document storage that never completely fills as ZoS adds 5-6 more maps each DLC release, but still limited to 1 per map. That alone would make me very happy.

I don't really think Scripts are an issue. If I was desperate to open space in my bank because I had 20-30 scripts in there, I'd just log in on a couple of alts and eat them. It'd take all of a couple of minutes tops. Or I'd just make a quick 20k-30k dumping them on a vendor if I couldn't be bothered.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

More bank space is one of my highest QoL wishes right now. Unless they add a companion where I can access my storage chests wherever I am, or add this functionality to the banker, the storage chests (or the many mules I have) don't solve the problem of needing more flexible space where I can easily pass things between alts.

Anyone ever notice how for regular stam, health, and mag pots, that there's almost no point in selling them before the stack maxes out, because usually that slot you freed up by doing so gets filled again within a few min with another trash plot? You know what I'm talking about?

For me, scribing scripts are the same. I might as well have a stack for each of them in my bank, because they drop a lot and I have a lot of alts. Probably it doesn't increase bank space for everyone, but for me it does, because I'll use the scripts but after a play session I'm not necessarily going to take time to log on each alt and snag the scripts and I'll probably just get another one soon anyway, so... yep. Now scripts stacks are a thing in my bank.

Unlike furniture though, ZOS totally could make a scribing bag since there are a limited, set amount of items. Even if they add more they are unlikely to grow at the rate furnishings do. :)
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I think this illustrates why we don't really need more space. Let's say you get 200 more slots. It will take what... a week to fill those 200 slots. You now have 200 more items in your inventory but you are out of space so you need more. That is a player problem. We are unable to get rid of stuff.
I created a 2nd account and got max inventory spaces on all the characters I could just to hold stuff for my first account. I never had enough space. I was keeping armor and weapons for builds I haven't used in years. I had jewelry I've never used just in case I might want to. I was holding motifs that I thought may some day go back up in price. I had tons of what amounted to just junk. More spaces would mean more junk.

Finally I was able to convince myself to get rid of most. I started listing any motif that was worth more than 2K gold. The others I donated to guilds. Any weapon or piece of armor that wasn't part of a current build was deconned by a character that still needed to max out crafting. Now I have all kinds of room. Other than some PvP gear a few characters share my home storage chests are almost empty and my bank has easily enough room so that I can bring out my banker while in the middle of something and just unload to worry about after I'm done.
Turns out the game has plenty of inventory space available. I wasn't using it efficiently and was never going to have enough until I changed.
I do still have some homes full of random furniture I probably won't ever place but that is a problem that hasn't bit me on my behind yet.

But if you hoard stuff you'll never have enough bank space.

Any type of inventory management is hard in any game.
I do like the coffers for organizing and when they get full...time to finish some quest or toss something.

But if you just let it pile up you'll never have enough space.

I hoard a lot of stuff, yet I can do reasonably well on bank space (with ESO+) unless I am leveling crafting on several other characters. Though it seems like half my bank is taken up with surveys these days. The reason I pile those up is that gathering them is a pain, even with only a couple. Simplifying that system would be a good help, but that would require some thought and too many here will argue that it works just great now.

Just allow everything to stack to 200.

Wouldn't make a difference. Everything could stack to 1000 and it wouldn't help. Because we're talking about unique items. Treasure maps that could stack to 200 would still take up the same amount of bank space as they do now.

West Weald Treasure Maps I -VI would still take up 6 slots regardless whether I had 1 of each or 200.

Chests are separate from everything. And you get at least 1 and maybe 2 for free just leveling up.

But I don't understand what players are hoarding. I generally hit 300 on the bank and maybe 150 on the character and I never fill up with stuff I don't turn right around and either sell or turn into mats.

I don't understand how players 'don't have space'.

    I freely admit I hoard.

I have three accounts, a guild bank and ESO+ on two of them.

However I don't own the pack pets and wouldn't purchase any extra space if it became available via the store.

One of my accounts I inherited from my Hubby and another was free through epic, my biggest issue is stored furniture and it is my choice to keep that!

I still have loads of wriggle room for more storage but if I only had one account I would be buried under stuff by now!! 🤣

Every chest in my house is filled up with gear for multiple roles on multiple classes, for both pvp and pve. My bank is full of crafted dupes for writs, multiples of food, potions, for all those different builds, and stuff that's waiting to be sold on one of my 3 guild traders. We need more freaking space. And not 5 measly slots on some "pet" that *** ridiculous. And I have eso+.

Let us buy more bank space and chests. It doesnt have to be complicated, that's it. That's all we need.

True, bank space was not touched since the game launched. It definitely needs an update simply because even when it comes to base game we have now way more crafting material types than you can actually "fit" in the default 240 bank slots. Either update the bank to at least 250 slots or make housing storage visible by crafting stations.

Actually, I store all my master writs in the bank(master writs in character's inventories too when bank is full). Without master writs my bank would only be at around 200 slots filled. As I only complete master writs during double exp events. Today, during the explorer's event, I have already done well over 400 master writs. Sooo much space now, and I'm not even close to done!
On average all my characters hold around 50-100 master writs the bank can no longer hold, while the bank is full of them in just a few days. And I'm not even doing the crafting dailies on all my characters anymore. Only four of my characters do the crafting dailies every day.

To me master writs take up practically all of my space, both bank and inventory. Not junk, yet they are a valid reason to want more space. Much much more space. Both bank and inventory space is desperately needed. (A master writ bag would solve my space issues as well.)

Yes, I love crafting and doing the master writs. But the master writs are really only worth doing during double exp events. Especially as I am over 3k CP.

PS: Have ESO+, max horse, the inventory pets, all 8 house chests, and ofcourse all the inventory and bank upgrades.
