Lock boxes do count. This weekly endeavor takes maybe 15 minutes if you have a stealth/sneak build ready to play.

I'm slightly annoyed we have a rather limited inventory (and questlog), but to do endeavours conveniently, we would actually have to keep space for at least 1 crafting survey of each type (or 2 each, now that it's 12 instead of 6/8), 1 master writ for consumables, 1 master writ for armor, 1 treasure map,... I always keep my inventory clean because of the limited space, so it's been a hassle today.

40 treasure chests a week is super easy considering what counts as a 'treasure chest'.

I don't think there's any "creep" increasing the Endeavor requirements.

If anything, I think it's more correcting itself after months of "creeping' in the other direction. Over the past few months, it was becoming more and more common to knock out 3 daily endeavors within the first 15 minutes of logging on without the player even paying attention. Heck, they became so easy, players would scream bloody murder when they inadvertantly completed 3 Endeavors before they noticed there was a themed endeavor for bonus seals.

Endeavors are not meant to be so easy that they're essentially simple login rewards. They need to require some sort of effort to complete. It says so right there in the word "endeavor",

The Two Heists Endeavor I'd like to think was simply an "Oopsie!" on ZoS' part, and not part of some nefarious scheme. Because I seriously doubt the powers that be at ZoS sit around trying to find ways to stick it to their players. They're in the business of entertaining their players, not griefing them.

They're in the business of making us stay in the game as long as possible and spend as much money as possible while we're there, entertaining us is no top priority.
That's why we get more and more grindy stuff and endeavors have recently moved into this direction, too.

I wonder if requiring 2 Heists instead of 1 is meant to encourage us to play more on our alts? As opposed to just doing daily crafting writs on them, or using them as inventory mules, etc.?

this is definitely so much faster lol

the avg respawn on that boss is 10-20 seconds, combat is maybe another 10-20 seconds, so maybe approx 1 min for a full cycle between kill and respawn

I just do a chest run of known spawn spots in redacted over a few nights and Bob's your aunt's....uhh... "friend".

I thought it was funny that I got the 40 chests before finishing 10 group events. I was doing it in Deshaan as I enjoy that area more.

I just picked up a bunch of cheap treasure maps for the couple of accounts I wanted to run that on. It was great - most of them were less than 300 gold....

I did a couple of chest runs in bal fouren and that was it. It also provided me with trainee gear to sell.
