First, we do want to acknowledge folks sentiment here and know that we are providing the feedback of disappointment of no Cyrodiil content to the team. We understand many of you want new content for Cyrodiil and to address long standing issues. So we will continue to voice those concerns with the team. Gina and Brian mentioning Cyrodiil was not to raise hope and dash it, but to acknowledge the chat mentioning Cyrodiil during the stream.

The one thing we do want to note is that we have tried to make it clear for months now that this update would be Battlegrounds focused. We have noted that several times over the last few months here on the forum and on our social channels. We know this does not diminished the frustration. We just want to make it clear that we tried to set expectations accordingly to avoid disappointment. But we will take a look back and see how we can better set expectations next time to make sure we are being clear about the intention of the stream.

People do have some issue with no new content for Cyrodiil, but the primary problem, by far and away, the problem is the neglect for performance ZOS has when it comes to Cyrodiil, the multiple stealth reductions to the population cap, the reduced group size, the lack of anything done to limit cross healing making ball groups invincible, the crazy out of balance NB's one shotting people from stealth 42 meters away etc.

In short, the PvP community isn't upset about a lack of new content. We're upset that ZOS is no longer delivering the product we grew to know and love and is, apparently, making zero effort to fix all the things ZOS has broken when it comes to Cyrodiil. We just want our old Cyrodiil back. And since ZOS made it work in the past, there is nothing that can be used as an excuse for not making it work like it used to again in the future.

Even Brian Wheeler admitted during the live stream that he essentially doesn't PvP anymore. A statement that was reinforced when he told us what sets he wears on his healer. Even Brian Wheeler is using a 2 year old build for his PvP healer. So it's clear that even the guy that's supposed to be in charge of ESO PvP isn't spending enough time in the zone.

    PREACHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel this deep in my bones.

Ridiculous that they would address BG's and not Cyro.

One of the most dedicated player bases in the game are Cyro players and in general they do not play BG's, this group have been dedicated for year with a core part of the game you designed from day 1.

Most of the Cyro performance issues are related to ball group spamming hots/shields/heals (even out of combat they spam spells non stop). Not only does this degrade the entire server performance, it degrades the actual player experaince. Players log off when they feel useless against ball groups (this includes them being invulnerable to all manner of siege and tactics).

The servers are dying because of your laisses faire attitude towards ball group, degraded the server and game experaince. Combined this with no interesting updates in 4 years in keep design, capture points, upgrades....nothing....

There are very rare occasions when ball groups are not in Cyro, as someone who plays nightly, I've seen this maybe once a month or less, this are without any doubt the most funs night in cryo as the battles are more even, chaotic, exciting and fun.

Your doing a legitimate disservice to your reputation by ignoring this core part of the playerbase, and much of this lies directly on Matt F's shoulders, he knows damn well how well DOAC played and treated the PvP community.
The numbers thing is always going to be there, but it’s more down to player skill and there are ways through ability choice to configure a group to be stronger vs. large groups of people. - BRAIN WHEELER - 2012 - LOL

That's not a cyrodiil specific issue though. Heal stacking is a problem in all of pvp, not just cyrodiil mind you. I'm not saying what you're saying is wrong but tons of people are claiming "cyro is ignored" and the reasoning is general PVP balance and claiming it's a cyrodiil specific problem when these things bring down all of pvp.

They could easily address heal stacking and do this at the same time, they don't need an entire q4 update just to nerf cross healing

Lag was here WELL before ball groups. Do ball groups have an impact, sure, do large zergs have an impact as well, yes.

It all comes back to the way calculations are handled. The more sets they add that do things like throw a buff or debuff on yourself or your enemy every 5 seconds, the worse it gets. The servers/code stack just can't keep up with this anymore.
