Did ZOS Juice Aetherial Dust Drop Rate?

Is the Ink the real reason Aetherial Dust is so cheap? Or did ZOS Juice the drop Rate? I am a casual 3200+ CP Player and loving the 350k price on Aetherial Dust.. I want to get to 3600 and could not justify paying 1 million gold but 3 for 1 million is worth it considering i have gold and nothing to really spend it on...

I remember when Aetherial Dust first was introduced to the game and people were selling it for the sky-high price of 70K each in zone chat.

In my book, 350K is still expensive. But if you're referring to how it has fallen from an insanely high price to just an absurdly high price, I think it's a part of the general price correction that's been going on.

I remember when it got up to 200k ish and stayed there a couple of years, give or take 50k. So each mythic ambrosia was around 50-60k. Because perfect roe fluctuated around 8-12k. And ppl then said mythic ambrosia was an absolute ripoff (it still is).

I know how this must sound ("Back in my day..."), but the fall in prices is justified, and lower prices don't mean everyone is going to stop trading. Big adjustments can put gum in the works, but the lowering of prices to somewhat less insanely high is worth it. And I say this as someone who sells about 100x more than I buy, so it is not because I want to buy stuff on the cheap.

People who saved theirs from Jubilee are starting to sell their stockpiles. I still have half a dozen from Jubilee myself. And it'll probably sit there in my craft bag until it's extremely rare again.

Yes, i was around but we can all look backwards. My parents bought Ice Cream for a dime and went to the Movies on a quarter. Things do change over time to a degree and i would rather spend my gold as I go and continue to level up then sit on it hoping for it to drop even more. As it drops i will keep buying more until I hit 3600 cp and be done with it. I too remember when Roe was sub 10k and Dreugh Wax was like 6k. I was just curious if ZOS juiced the drop rate like they did for 6th house banner lol... Cheers!

I say the Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia is overpriced compared to the 100% xp Aetherial Ambrosia who is around 12-14K the 150% is 70-80K or over 5x more expensive for an 50% increase.
Now I would go for the 100% over 50% potion as the 50% as the 100% is less than double the cost for double the effect and think most has lots of 50% xp scrolls around.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Oh, i do not disagree there. It is overpriced no doubt compared to the Aetherial. Aetherial still cost Writ Vouchers though. I do Mythical now because i can afford to do so and at CP 3200+ with gold to spend I would rather get the little bit extra regardless cause I really have nothing else to spend it on.

[My parents bought Ice Cream for a dime and went to the Movies on a quarter.

Inflation and deflation in real life, while it bears superficial resemblances to in-game inflation and deflation, is fundamentally different. The main difference is that all transactions in the real world are between people, so money circulates.

In the game, only some transactions are circulatory and between players. Most people get most of their gold through gold faucets; e.g., the gold from doing writ quests every day that materializes out of thin air at fixed values.

I would not do a "back in my day" spiel for IRL pricing, nor would I wish for deflation IRL (while inflation IRL is a nuisance, deflation is downright dangerous; e.g., the Great Depression was a deflationary spiral, which is why target inflation rates are 2%, not 0%, in part to act as a safety buffer against falling into deflationary traps).

But the in-game economy is fundamentally different, and here, wishing for a deflationary return to intended price levels is perfectly fine.
