I like Black March's overall area look and since there is still a large portion on the map left to fill that would probably would be my first choice since I can't really explore that region in any other elder scrolls game outside of arena.

Second pick would be Pyandonea as others have suggested since it is an area that is foreign to the fan base and has a lot of potential for stories.

Third pick would be Hammerfell since that is still one of the largest areas on the map still left untouched and we haven't really explored Hammerfell at all outside of the base game. So seeing more of it would be great. I don't know if the region is being held back because elder scrolls 6 was heavily hinted would be in that area and parts of high rock so not sure if they are waiting to release it a bit closer to the release date for lore consistency.

For those saying Pyandonea, I’m also super hyped to see it but also wouldn’t it be best to wait for (huge cope on my side) Elder Scrolls 6 to hopefully show us those regions through some sort of DLC instead?

The chance is very small of course. Visiting other continents of Nirn is a huge deal for the series though and so getting it through a true single player Elder Scrolls game seems like a way better method of visiting Pyandonea for the first time.

Most just afraid ESO will butcher something that is so long-awaited in the series. I think they’re doing well to fill out the map of Tamriel though.

At the rate it's taking and given that each single player game only ever focuses on one country/region, I think most of us would be dead by the time Bethesda got around to doing Pyandonea or any continent outside Tamriel. Granted, previous games have introduced DLCs that have given us other regions/zones that are outside Tamriel, mainly daedric or islands, but none ever as big as a continent. Given that ES6 is already basically confirmed to be Hammerfell and maybe High Rock, which has already been covered in a previous single-player ES game, we still have so many immediate regions of Tamriel that we have yet to explore in the main series (outside of Arena) that would take precedent over Pyandonea.

The timeline we are looking at is maybe ES6 gets released around 2026-27 and comes with at most 2-3 DLCs released months after the other. Like you said, it would be huge copium to assume that one of those DLCs would be Pyandonea-based unless somehow Sea Elves have some large narrative in Hammerfell, which I just don't see happening. We'd most likely see a DLC focused on them in a Summerset/Valenwood singleplayer game and who knows when we will see those areas in the main series. After ES6 and their DLCs have concluded, we are looking at least 8-10 years before the next one gets released, and that is only if BGS expands to the point that they have previously said where they can have multiple teams working on their different franchises at the same time rather than one after the other; otherwise, we are looking at another 15-20 years before ES7 and so on.

So my hope is I'd rather see it get done by ESO, who has introduced fantastic lore and allowed us to visit many of those Tamriel spots for the first time, rather than hope for something that we will likely never get from the main studio, at least in our lifetime. Many of those zones that we have truly been able to experience for the first time, like Summerset, Elsweyr, High Isle, Valenwood, etc. have been some of my favorite zones and narratives, so I trust ZOS to not "butcher" it given their tremendous track record. I only hope other players will start giving ZOS the trust they have earned and deserve when it comes to those zones.

That’s fair but in Tamriel pretty much everything is already established. We know the locations, general landscape, lots of general history, etc. Visiting the area provides a tons more lore of course but particularly about the locales.

Pyandonea on the other hand has way more unknowns. We know almost nothing about it - the entire continent itself isn’t really even catalogued in a detailed way for us to see it. Just seems like a massively bigger undertaking compared to a random region in Daedric Realms like the Deadlands or Apocrypha where the ZOS team can kind of do whatever they want.

ESO just had its smallest chapter to date with Gold Road and no new zone content for the rest of the year…. Pyandonea would be an undertaking on the scale of the Morrowind chapter to do it any justice imo. With that said, if ESO ever decided to take two years to create a monstrous expansion in the form of Pyandonea, I’d be very happy to see it.

I just want it done well is all and Gold Road definitely causes me to have doubts.

I currently have 4 TES games installed: Morrowind, Skyrim, ESO and Legends. On my last machine (which jumped the cliff about a year ago), I also had Arena, Daggerfall and Oblivion, but I didn't bother reinstalling those yet (which doesn't mean I won't do that in future). I don't permanently play them, but I see myself returning to them every now and then, at least once a year (and then I stay for a few weeks each). I don't go for 100% completion anymore as I did the first few runs, but it's nice to just wander around, or play a certain character story I have in mind, or try a few new mods.

Anything to do with the Dwarves. And/or something a little spooky. (The whole cult thing is way overdone and not at all spooky.) There's a mod for Skyrim called Clockwork that is amazing. Dwarven lore and very, very spooky.

I would also love to see a new interpretation of the College of Winterhold, with the city in its prime.

Guys, Blackmarsh and Elsweyr have been done to death IMO, at least the very wild growth of Blackwood was reused in High Isle, Galen, and this year's expansion (Dawnwood). The Khajiit have been explored in two zones, and there is a lot of content related to them. Imperials have been featured in several chapters, already. There is plenty of Skyrim-ish content too, I doubt we'll get an other hold. Maybe Winterhold? But without a new skill line, I doubt so.

Hammerfell hasn't been explored enough, even though the Redguards got some content with the Thieves Guild DLC. But that was a long time ago.

I wouldn't mind skipping a new zone and getting overhauls. The most remarkable recent chapter was probably Elsweyr. Since then, each expansion feels thinner and copy pasted from previous assets. I don't think they have enough people to deliver strong content like in the past, who knows why. So most likely they will milk this game dry by adding cosmetics and carrots on a stick, until they are ready to launch a new mmo title.

You know what would be interesting, a chapter involving Thaddeus Cosma, it would take place in a zone that exists in a different time altogether, perhaps a chapter taking place during the end of the 3rd era before the events of TES IV Oblivion and during the events of Morrowind.

Could even have a 3rd era version of the Imperial heartland of Cyrodiil and the Imperial City

It'd be interesting to see how the mages in Winterhold expand Ulfsild's work. However, that would mean that chronologically, the Winterhold Chapter would have to take place after the Gold Road Chapter, if reclaiming the Scholarium has to take place before the world learns about Scribing and can make new Grimoires.

Yeah, Winterhold could be fun. Expanding Scribing seems fitting for a Winterhold Chapter, but I also think that it would be a good place to introduce a new guild skill line with classic TES spells (Conjure Flame Atronach for example) or perhaps even a new magical weapon (such as an Alteration Staff or One Handed & Spell).

Yeah, I'd rather we get a new feature next year. Of course we will be getting an update to Scribing alongside it, as we will get an update to Skill Styling, Antiquities, Companions, Tales of Tribute, Infinite Archive, Housing, and all of the other gameplay systems and previous Chapter features.

We just shouldn't expect a Chapter based in Winterhold to only focus on updating Scribing. It would be a brand new feature, possibly magical in nature, and Scribing would get a separate update anyway. What remains to be seen is if we'll need access to the new Chapter in order to access the new Grimoires to existing skill lines; we can only go off the introduction of Banner Bearer for the Support skill line, which was included in the Scholarium for Gold Road owners without any additional DLC requirement.

Though, of course, if we did get a new Weapon or Guild skill line, you'd expect a new Scribing skill would also be made for that line to sell the Chapter. You'd get the standard 5 abilities and 1 Ultimate (along with all the passives) with this Winterhold Chapter, but if you also own the Gold Road Chapter, you get an extra 1 Scribed Ability you can customize to your liking.

Even still, it could be the exact region we see in TES VI. ESO takes place in the 2nd Era, and TES VI likely takes place in some future era, as ESO is designed to be a "prequel" to the singleplayer games.

ESO offers a unique take on areas which appear in other TES games, which is a driving reason why we'd want to revisit places we've been to in the singleplayer games. I'm personally still waiting to visit Solstheim in ESO!

Hammerfell in some capacity. It would be the freshest content. Winterhold and Whiterun would be great, but I am so tired of Skyrim. Hammerfell could explore the Yokudan and Nedic influence we see in Craglorn and other areas.

I also wouldn’t mind seeing more Daedric Realms. That would allow them to get really creative without being beholden to one the ten races’ vibes.
