If you have an active ESO+subscription with VISA card registered, then it will still be charged when period have ended and start a new periode.
My ESO+ was renewed with 30 new days on my VISA card but I can't make any purchase with the same card in ESO Store.
It is only an issue if you need to add card information in ESO store to start a new ESO+subscription period.
We are receiving reports of players getting the error "The card whose details you have entered is not supported. Please enter the details of another card or try another payment method", when attempting to purchase Crowns or ESO Plus on the website. While we are investigating this error, please attempt to use a different payment method. Our FAQ below has some additional information that may help.
Why am I getting a "The card whose details you have entered is not supported" error when trying to make a purchase on the ESO website?

When I first started playing (2018), I never had any issues with my debit card, but then I switched banks, and while the new card was a VISA like the one I had been using successfully for a couple of years, the ZOS payment system wouldn't accept this new card, even though I used it all over the place, elsewhere, with no problem.
So I tried with my Paypal account, which ironically, uses the same card as a payment source, and it worked.
Still does, to this day.

Well, sorry for daring to offer a working suggestion/OPTION. Go ahead and wait, then.
We're all trying to help each other. Please bear in mind though that the option you suggested has been discussed and ruled out several times in both forum topics on this issue.
PayPal is a valid and suggested alternative while this is being addressed, if ZOS decides to address it.
Personally, if I had this problem and need to set up an alternate payment method, I would be looking for evidence that this option was working. The best place to find that is by going through threads like this looking for people saying they used it successfully.
While some people may be quick to rule it out, I can reasonably state that this is likely not something that applies to everyone that will come across this thread.
I would not hesitate to use PayPal if I needed to make a payment for ESO and ran into credit card problems. Likewise, I would not hesitate to suggest it. I won't debate the merits of why some people don't like PayPal, as that is outside of the immediate issue, and that is finding a payment method that works.
Same problem here... any feedback from ZOS?
Nope. I've already been in contact with Worldline Global who have confirmed that Zenimax need to re-enable certain regional processing options on their account.
Until that happens, Zenimax is unable to accept payments from a large number of European card issuers. They keep telling us to use PayPal or PaySafeCard - I don't think they have ANY clue just how tedious and painful both of those options are.
Interestingly the Square Enix website also uses Worldline Global to process payments, and my card is accepted there. Then there's the Bethesda Gear store, I used the same card yesterday morning to make a payment of $150 there.
ESO doesn't want our money.

Any progression @ZOS_Bill on this issue? We are now close to Gold Road will go live on server, so I would like to use my VISA Debit Card to purchase Gold Road with Pre-purchase items before that date.
You, ZoS, have had more then 2 weeks (first post started at 9th Mai) to get your ESO Store to accept European VISA Debit/Credit cards and Master Card.
American Express isn't a common card where I live and PayPal could cause issues as PP allow to pay without founds and then decide to make a charge back which there also have been people here on Forum reporting about as they got banned even when they had make sure to have funds on PayPal.

3 ESO Store and Account System maintenances and no results 🤦♂
It feels like very answer from Kevin, Bill and co. have been "we are investigating" or "update soon" without providing any evidence at what they are doing, if they are doing anything at all at this stage.
It have been almost a month since first post described this issue and for my part 3 weeks since I made a ticket about this.
