Credit card problem. I can't buy eso subscription.

When I enter my credit card number, this message appears below the text box: "The card you entered is not supported. Please enter another card or try another payment method".
I have used this card before to buy eso subscriptions and had no problems. The card is working fine another sites.

I have had the same issue when trying to buy crowns.
I contacted support and they clearly didnt read my message as they sent me a how to on updating my eso +.
I recommend swapping to PayPal, that allowed me to finish my purchase.

Same happened to me last night. Probably a problem after last maintenance, I'll wait till the end of the next one on 22 May.

I'm not sure that the May 22 maintenance is going to fix this. To me, this sounds like a change related to whatever they use to accept payments. They changed something, or whatever they are using changed something, and now certain payment types are no longer accepted.

That is unlikely to be fixed by a data center maintenance.

I have the same issue and get an error message (same as a above) when using my VISA debit card. Can't punch in the sixth number in field for debit card before it show that message, until then it looks ok with pay button in red and VISA logo in the corner for selected payment method.

There is something messed up with ESO payment system when these things can happen (had the same issue when there was Jubilee sale in ESO store, but instead I could punch debit card number, but not get confirmation from PID to finally confirm purchase through my bank).

Have already tried to use another browser, another Wifi/cellphone network (in case it had something with IP or built in Firewall from router), removed cookies and had the now standard chat with bank to confirm that it isn't any known issue from bank or my bank accounts side.

Sent CS a ticket and hope they can a least get something done with this payment issue. Not everybody have 50 payment methods or even want to use any other methods then VISA.

Have to see how it will work when it is time for the auto charge on ESO+ which is on the same VISA card in seven days.

same here - cant purchase Gold Road and crowns...

"The card you entered is not supported. Please enter another card or try another payment method"

This is nothing to do with me - my 3 cards are all valid and active and have been used to purchase other goods in the last 6 hours, so clearly an issue on ESO side.

ps: I'm not using PayPal as I deleted my account after being hacked and losing money a year ago.

    @ZOS_Bill
This is an issue on your payment providers side and nothing that is suggested in those links is working! Have already tried a different browser, checked Javascript is enabled, checked that no extension or addon are blocking site and so forth.

I wont apply for a second physical card or debit card by any bank that offer debit/credit card ONLY for being able to purchase at ESO Store.

Most bank that offer card in any form will also charge a fee only to have access to a physical card like Master Card or VISA, so that isn't any good suggestion. Neither do I trust Paypal or any other financial institute when I have used the same debit card for years without issues until those last month.

Provide us here instead with an update that this is being looked into and update us with that info when we can again make any purchase in ESO Store or at least should be able to if your payment provider can figure out what went wrong.

    EDIT:

It seems that this issue have been known/happening from 9th of Mai. Why is this error for payment still happening @ZOS_Bill ?

    This doesn't work.

It's an issue server side so we just have to remain patient until it is fixed.

Just have to trust that our card details and personal info are not compromised, so a reassurance from ZoS would be welcome.

You are not alone to have exactly the same issue with payment in ESO Store!

Still not working after Account Maintenance where finished.

    @ZOS_Bill @ZOS_GinaBruno

What is going on? Never had this kind of issues when I purchased my original account with ESO TU, and later all those game upgrades for Chapters, Crowns or ESO+ subscription which is now on active two ESO+ account with exactly the same card info.

Please, provide an update that this is looked into as to why we can't continue with the sixth card number before we get an error telling us to try another payment method. Javascript is enabled and there is nothing to block that info from working while typing in card number to proceed to next step on that page.

    Spot on.

It's a recent (within the last month) change to the client-side JavaScript validation when entering the card number. At the point of entering the 6th digit, it calls a function to check permitted card types, and if not matched, greys out the payment submission button.

It doesn't matter if the full card number is entered, or if it's a card the purchaser has been using for years without issue. This is definitely a recent change with the card capture form hosted by WorldLine Global (their payment processor).

i propose a idea, maybe create a bill system as new payment method so if there is some issue with the site or what ever other issue its still simpler and cheaper then getting new master card

it works like this: user makes a order and then ESO store sends a bill to either Email or users home mailbox, there are this 2options, then user takes the bill to the bank to pay for it, it has to be a type of a bill that u only show so ppl can show it on their phone in bank when they log in to their mail box and show it in the bank (u don't half to print it sins not awry1 can print), and they take the pill number to make the transfer

also maybe adding this option is faster then fixing this issue, i have no issue with going to the bank with a bill and make the transfer, i think it costs a bit but still a lot less then a new master card with new numbers, but this may not even work (i mean new card thing)

but i think to send a bill to users home mailbox is safer cause how much scammers will start making and sending fake bills to users email and get payed while user get nothing, unless u find a secure way to do it

I had a desperation idea and purchased the eso base game from steam (luckily was on sale).I linked my steam account to my eso account, then i bought a subscription on Steam and its worked. I didn't even have to install it, I just launched the already installed eso launcher, logged into my account and that it.

So, if someone else is having trouble paying on eso store and has 6 euros (currently) for the base game on steam, this could be an alternative.

Nope. I've already been in contact with Worldline Global who have confirmed that Zenimax need to re-enable certain regional processing options on their account.

Until that happens, Zenimax is unable to accept payments from a large number of European card issuers. They keep telling us to use PayPal or PaySafeCard - I don't think they have ANY clue just how tedious and painful both of those options are.

Interestingly the Square Enix website also uses Worldline Global to process payments, and my card is accepted there. Then there's the Bethesda Gear store, I used the same card yesterday morning to make a payment of $150 there.

I am expecting that ESO and ZoS/MS (as MS have bought ZoS from my understanding) should make sure that VISA, MasterCard and American Express as those companies that are listed as option when I make a purchase in ESO Store to actually work.

I have no interest in paying for PaySafe pre-paid card or using PayPal as PP have had security issues and both options means you would have to transfer money to another company which isn't regulated by national laws for Banks have to operate as Financial Institutions that are regulated by law to protect consumer from Financial

    ESO doesn't want our money.

Considering how many that have posted on forum about this issue and the only response have been we are aware or we investigating and nothing more, I don't get the feeling that ZoS really care about this issue.

Any normal process would be to put a sticker on forum where ZoS explain that there is an ongoing issue with payment provider as for using European Card like VISA or Master Card (American Express isn't normally offered as debit or credit card from Bank in Sweden) and those two other option is no go as I wouldn't want to put money on a pre-paid card that I will never use for payment on any other site or place and need to be charged or be forced to create a Paypal account.

Paypal have a history of leaking data and be unreliable, so I would never use Paypal (have never used PP and do not want to even start to give my data away to third party that legally is out of reach for National Law regarding financial institutes in Sweden).

Next step in that process would be to show that they have contacted payment provider and they are waiting for payment providers response with some kind of time frame for when it will be resolved.

Blaming costumer for having normal security on web browser or computer like active firewalls (recommending to turn it off is really bad practise).

In a couple of days I have to see how renewing my ongoing ESO+ sub will work as it is the same card that have been registered to pay for that sub.

    Hey guys,

I have the same issue. I checked the requests done. Seems that the get IIN details request is failing.

From a quick analysis, the response comes with isAllowedInContext: false, thus setting the validation to false. It seems that isInstallments param is sent as a string ("false") instead of bool (false). That string will most likely convert to true (depending on code and language used on server).

According to documentation (https://apireference.connect.worldline-solutions.com/s2sapi/v1/en_US/go/services/getIINdetails.html?paymentPlatform=ALL) it should be a boolean. The isRecurring param is sent as bool as expected.

Maybe that is the issue? I could make a curl request to actually check but I will not because maybe some security checks are in place (to see if the sender is who needs to) and I don't want to get banned or something for a test :).

If that is not the issue (well... I am fairly sure the request response isAllowedInContext is the reason why is blocked, but not sure the reason is that boolean, need additional testing to check that) then either the response is wrong (missconfig / fail on wordline part) either the request has another issue...

I want to give you money... and play :D. Had a long week and not having to deal with inventory in eso right now would've been great... just want my usual eso+. I can help you debug if you want...
