isn't grinding for all the sets and style pages also a form of gambling, of time? Better to remove them all
Grinding doesn't generally cause some people with addictive personalities to max out their credit cards.
I take it you haven't heard of Genshin Impact? Diablo Immortal?

thanks for the hint, but the workaround is not an option for meLanteanPegasus wrote: »As a suggestion for a workaround:
I think crown crates never go to the inventory. So if you accept the daily reward and just never click on the crown crate symbol to summon Pacrooti (or never open them there), you can ignore them for all times, , you can ignore them for all times, effectively rejecting them.
You have more than 500 unopened crown crates? Phew!...I know other players who do the same: collect free crates and just run up the score for the number of unopened crates.
a good ideaCoffinCuddles wrote: »... I do agree for the ability to "Skip Daily Log in" button towards the bottom of the calendar ...
Thank youThorncrypt wrote: »Lootboxes should not exist in a buy to play + subscription game like ESO.
that's the point..., but thats a whole 'nother gaming lifestyle based on a predatory game mechanic that I don't want to see ESO moving even closer to.

I have noticed that we have gone off topic a little bit. Therefore, I would like to clarify something: I didn't want to take the crown boxes away from anyone or have them removed from the game. The reason for my post is that they've become a problem for me now, because they've been forced on me too often when logging in daily. I'm worried about the current course of Elder Scrolls Online. Even more crown crates? I'm losing faith in the game and can no longer relax and simply enjoy the game.

I respect your preferences and opinions, but I do not understand why the offered workaround is not an option if this is not about lack of self-discipline.Spinjitzu_Mistress wrote: »thanks for the hint, but the workaround is not an option for meLanteanPegasus wrote: »As a suggestion for a workaround:

There was someone on the forum a few years ago who refused to open any of the free crown crates, they had over 100 at one point. I'm not sure if they're still around or if they ever opened them, but it seems like there's no limit for how many you can keep unopened and since they're not inventory items there's no problem with storing them.
Hope they don't listen to OP, I love them! No, I don't buy them, but I do occasionally get really great stuff from them. People who have issues with them should just never take the daily rewards if that's how they feel about them; of course the devs are going to do their best to get people to log in every day, every GALS does this.
I log in for hours every day anyway, have done for 7 years; it's really nice to get occasional fun stuff.

But since they do, it's essential that there be in-game ways to earn them, so I'm in full disagreement with the conclusion.
