2024 reminder to bring back Dragon's Treasure Trove

Valuable rewards are only valuable if you earn it by playing. Preordering is the most low effort action in the world, so i dont need my preorder items to never show up again in the crownstore. Its nothing to be proud of.

Its like buying a sports trophy from a trophy shop.

I would not mind it, if there would have been similiar furniture stuff in game, but the thives guild ones look pretty horrible compared to this gem and the crown crate one is a lot smaller.

It should be brought back, it would make sense if it was a Pan-Elsweyr event using tickets, the same way the soul-shriven skin was able to be purchased with tickets during one of the previous events

It wasn't though, it was specifically for those that bought Elsweyr and took part in the community challenges. That's why it shouldn't be brought back, otherwise there's no unique rewards that should be kept from the playerbase, that includes the tiger and the other beta awards they kept from people. I could have done the beta, but I didn't, I want the rewards, it's only fair: Isn't that the argument for this? Don't tell me it ain't, lol.

Agreeing with @alternatelder here because of common sense. I don't have certain mounts because I haven't done the activity required for it. Same with certain costumes, emotes, skins, etc. which aren't Crown Store items. If I wanted the vSS mount, I'd grind my buns off for it, but I just don't care to. Exclusive rewards should remain exclusive, IMHO.

Then again, I don't suffer from FOMO so...there is that.

P.S. There's some emote which players stand around and spam all day. It looks like when Isobel is adjusting her armor. Not sure when/where that was available, and to me it just looks really stupid. "Look - I'm adjusting my headgear! No, wait - I'm pulling on my gloves!"
The /sitdrink is far more useful.

They shouldn't bring these back - but that doesnt' stop them from bringing out similar items that can be used in a similar way. Some sort of treasure pile would be great for housing; it doesn't need to be the one that was part of a time-limited giveaway. Just think about the daytime controlling - that is obtainable in a different way for those that missed the hour glass.

another Elsweyr event community challenge reward has been brought back so your argument is uh confusing.
Why is the Grim Harvester costume fine, but not the others?

And it would make perfect sense for it to be in the Yesteryear bags in the next Elsweyr event,
because the Gates of Oblivion event had the Pellucid Swamp Jelly pet and Shadows of Blackwood tattoos in those bags from the Bounties of Blackwood reward bundle.

( yes they left out the Ogrim target dummy, but the rewards i mentioned were collectibles like the Treasure Trove, if they brought back old event dummies it would probably be in a different way )

the Legacy of the Bretons event this year will likely bring back Heroes of High isle items as well. which is awesome for people who couldn't get them in 2022.

it is odd that there still are items like the Treasure Trove you only have because you were online for a minute in 2019.
I think zos should also bring back the Senche-raht rider statue, it's beautiful.

not sure which tiger you are referring to as Beta only had the imgakin monkey as a reward, but the eso plus loyalty rewards included the Striped Senche Tiger and all those rewards should totally be brought back yes.

i would welcome more rewards like them as well.

i am fine with people who participated in Beta having their monkey, but it was one of only two monkey pets up until the Order of the Lamp crates released with the Sugarsnow Monkey march 2024.
The other monkey is the jester monkey with a crown so i do understand completely why people would want the beta monkey.
But i also do not get why exclusivity is so nice?

i have the Golden Honor pet from the recent anniversary event and i am not against it being given away through other ways after the 10th anniversary.
i only have it, because i was able to get a ticket and travel to the event. not every eso player is able to do that.

Those are different as they are houses that were headed for crown store afterwards anyway. They weren't made specifically for those chapter celebrations.

I have them from the original event, but I have no issue with other people having a chance to get it. Caring about exclusivity is something I will never understand. That being said, it should come back whenever another event involving Elsweyr rolls back around, so it makes sense.

Didn’t have to participate at all, and I do wonder every similar event now if we actually have to do anything or if people already doing the content will lead us to victory… or if ZOS will progress the bar anyways because it’s advertisement for the Chapter at the end of the day.

Slightly off topic but, I don't think that's an emote. It's what other players see when you're looking through your sticker book collection of gear. So technically you do own it

chapter events like Dragonrise do have event tickets and the impressario.
Dragonrise, Summerfall, and the other events with community challenges are just the first events for new chapters.
Dragonrise has been followed by Pan-Elsweyr celebration in 2021 and Season of the Dragon celebration in 2023.

Yes we need an event wen all past events items are obtenible somehow and maybe all crown store houses and crates too.

There was some mention of getting all previous pre-purchase rewards from a specific upgrade version of Gold Road. So I think exclusivity is just a temporary thing, which is fine. I discovered ESO 6 months after Elsweyr was released, so my version of the game included Elsweyr, but none of the rewards. I didn't know enough about the game to catch the jubilee event, though I was playing, so I missed out on a lovely cake. (The next jubilee cake was not lovely.)

I would really love to have the treasure pile and the previous cakes available as event rewards/Impressario purchases.

Because game creators of other games know that's the stupidest thing to do.
Games are not there to create discrimination, disparity, or the gap between rich and poor, but to have fun.

@karthrag_inak The exclusive senche mount model came to the crown store with a slighty different color pattern on the cloth. I don’t think most people would even know the difference. I think the dwarven sphere pet is a more unique item from the old subscriber bonuses that never came back.

They didn't say anything about bullying. But it is a form of class discrimination, in that many of us have to save up for new chapters, wait for crown sales, etc., if we have any hope of buying things. When there's a time limit, it does get discouraging if I don't have the cash in time; my contracts are sometimes longer or shorter than anticipated... I am fortunate to be able to play this game at all. Sometimes I'm just barely able to make utility payments and buy groceries. Couldn't pre-order Greymoor, for ex. Would be nice if stuff just came back around after a while.

They did, the quote was removed...It's even more ridiculous to call this discrimination.

If you don't have money at the time, or even time to play, then miss out on rewards, it's that simple, and there's no reason you need these if you hardly play at all anyway.
