    But hybridization is sooooo good. It doesn't need to be removed, it just needs to be followed through on more fully. The issues that arise from it are all very solvable, and the viability of unique builds post hybridization is a lot of fun!

    My fave build right now is a mag blade running vate snipe. I won't give the rest away, but there are some unique factors that make it work, and hybridization is core to it.

    Agreed.

    Hybridization wasn't inherently a bad thing. It offers the potential for more build diversity, even if it's doing the opposite in its current implementation.

    The problem is that the gap between the top and bottom of specs/morphs/skills is so large.

    Vigor is cracked - adding minor resolve made it a must slot on just about every build. Giving the option for mag users to use Vigor wasn't a bad thing - making Vigor a must have skill was the bad thing.

    If every class and every spec can use every skill, you need to make the skills more in line with each other.

    Hybridization would also have been a lot more successful if sustain/recovery wasn't so braindead easy. Things like Wretched or Roksa make it trivial for builds to sustain both resource pools. You'd have to put a lot more choice into builds and mag/stam skill splits if you couldn't have nearly infinite sustain rather easily.

    Bring Wrobel back.
    Balanced by people with no prior gamedev experience, couldn't fix performance issues in a decade, can't code a real matchmaking algorithm to save their lives, more maintenance downtime than all the other MMOs put together, more bugs introduced than bugs fixed every big patch, same stagnant combat for years.
    Done with Elder Joke Online: 2 seconds of input delay on "70" ping edition.

    This person just won the thread only thing they missed was hybridization going away.

    Tbh hybridization would feel a lot better with those stats gone.

    Those stats make it so much easier to sustain. Without them you'd have to put a lot more care into how you allocate your resources on a build.

    but you do realize that these stats cause more damage and everyone here complains about a tanky meta? if you take away the stats, you expand the tanky meta even further, because people just don't want to die.

    It caused more damage with less investment into damage.

    Remove those stats, and people would have to drop their health back down to have good damage again - making everyone squishier.

    Adding those stats gave everyone free health AND incentivised stacking further points into health.

    that's what you're expecting, but i don't think that's what's coming. players already have the option to go full damage, but very few do it anyway

    That's okay though. The problem isn't that people are tanky, it's that they're tanky and have lethal damage. The idea of removing free stats is to make people specialize so they can be tanky or do lethal damage

    Good one! Or just any dev that is familiar with and likes PvP would be an improvement.

    But on a more serious note, I'm with the crowd that thinks heal stacking needs to be limited.

    I would limit stacking of same positive unique effects (like healing) to 3 sources.

    cross healing stacking to where nothing in the group can die

    undeath from vampire needs to be removed and replaced by recovery instead like it used to be

    crit damage stacking is getting out of hand on some classes like nb

    more major buffs just being active as long as the skill is inn slot. has been tested with nb and arc and works very well. all classes should have major crit and wd/sd so we can spend more time playing instead of buff management.

    What would it be?

    Remove 50% of base stat sheet.

    For example 50% hidden crit dmg is now 25%...and all other stats you get for free.

    Should be harder to get 8k spell dmg and 50k max mag while still having 40k HP and 35k resistances.

    SIDE NOTE: I enjoyed the game more when you had to sacrifice damage to be tanky or sacrifice tankiness to do damage.

    Confusion: A major and minor debuff that turns friendly healing/shields into damage yourself/friendly.

    Change soul strike to a channeled null. Change the damage to either magical or stamina drain depending on you highest stat. Keep one last longer or one becomes AOE.

    20% base speed for high ping players.
    Streak moves you faster then speed cap.

    probably I would ask them to limit stackable healing abilities to a set number. or make it so healing doesn't stack. kind of crazy to see entire groups running RR and vigor

    first of all we need to address goals for PVP before we can go about implementing ideas.
    i think i would like to see in PVP-

    - PVP be playable and enjoyable for solo, small group or large groups- and all of the be viable in their own ways- without being too disadvantaged in any scenario
    - .
    - reward skilled solo play over proc sets and overhwelming damage. rotations, resource management, healing, weaving,
    -animation cancelling- theses were the skills that were really rewarded when the game was in its pvp prime. high skill was rewarded and the best players- were- check this- the best players. now its never been harder to 1 v X - due to both map and movement of players- but mainly due to the power creep, cross healing, ball groups and zerging being too powerful.

    - reward skill and TEAMWORK in group play over proc sets or stacking effects etc.

    - spread the map, redesign the map ( heck write it so molag bal drops a quake on the area and its all redrwan - who cares) so that all areas are incentiivesd to be explored and fought over. i remember in the first couple years- every corner of the map- every part had combat swords showing small scale skirmishes, large battles, one on one fights- all types of battles and wars of all scales going on all over the map .

    i know you asked for just 1 thing- but i cant limit it at one sorry.
    now how to address it? you need a bunch of solutions
    from lmiting cross healing, cross damage and effects so that larger groups have coolodowns of effects etc. dynamic ulti gen,
    etc etc. but main thing ZOS needs to do is sit down with the top players and go into the lab and TEST TEST TEST til they get it closer. but first they need an AGENDA of what theyre aiming for- cos for the past all theyre doing is aiming left, right, more tot he right, more to the left- but with no target in mind- and hence just changes that have no actual clear concise statement of intent.

    Fix the stuck in combat bug that's apparently never going away, lol. How is this still a thing? What's the point of mythics like Snow Treaders when you're constantly stuck in combat even when you're not even in a fight, lol

    One instance of an ability at a time, no more multiple elemental sus on me from multiple players, no more ball groups stacking multiple radiating regenerations. Different morphs should still stack, that’s how it used to be.
    An experimental change would be a ramping cost modifier to ALL skills when spammed so any consecutive uses of the same ability would incur a slight cost increase per use, like streak but not as extreme an increase.

    I miss the old theory crafting. When you had to sacrifice parts of the build to get more of 1 thing. Made builds (1. More rewarding and (2. More unique.

    Builds now are relying on procs/tank sets lul.

    Most builds are pretty much the same nowadays. I get it, Meta this Meta that. I wanna be the best. It probably will never be different. I can say I do miss 2014-2018 ESO.

    The only way to make this hybridization/proc set thing work, is to bring the power from High isle release back. Everyone was strong, no one was left out. Each class had respective Builds that were OP. Each class was viable. Each class was fun. I'd even say it was closer balanced when everyone was OP.

    I feel like if they could fix it, they would. Cuz it also happens in PVE sometimes.

    New Campaign where grouping ain´t possible. No more dedicated farmer groups ... just some "op" solo builds which could get balanced properly if needed.

    Doubling the population caps, bring cap back to at least 120/faction would probably do more than anything else to balance Cyrodiil now. Everything else has become secondary to improving Cyro PvP now.
