A single person should not be allowed to disband the group

well in this case 3 of the 4 people in the group clearly wanted the full dungeon

Then a vote-kick was clearly the solution.

they could handle the vote kick a bit better

theres many times ive tried vote kicking and people likely dont even see the notification because its blocked in combat unless you manually go into the notification menu

So over the weekend had my first experience at someone doing this to troll the group. We were in a vet DoM where the leader kept specifically asking for certain gear pieces. They obviously had group loot addon and were getting agitated when the other group members weren't giving them the pieces they wanted. After clearing the fourth boss and not getting the set pieces they asked for they disbanded the group purging the other 3 players from the dungeon without being able to challenge the final boss and complete the dungeon.

This is the first and only time something like this happened in a group I have been in, but it certainly hit a sour note. If this kind of behaviour is not a one off then the game 100% needs to review how disband group works.

First of all, if they disbanded before the final boss, then this was not an Activity Finder group, and whoever has crown has absolute power.

When people are PUGing and joining groups via the Activity Finder, this is not possible.

Second, even if disband were removed from all groups in general, it won't change anything: the person who has crown has the power to kick everyone. Disband is merely a less clicky way to accomplish the exact same result.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the disband option. For the OP in this thread, the problem was that someone ran ahead and killed the final boss. And for you, you had joined a regular non-Activity Finder group where there are no PUG safeguards. If you want those safeguards, then use the Activity Finder.

    This is incorrect.

    Crowns in Activity Finder cannot.

Crowns in normal self formed groups, absolutely can. Like, this literally happens all the time in Trial groups while prepping. Player A will log out and log on a different character for the run, but forget to leave group. Crown will kick the logged out player from group and re-invite them on their logged in character. No vote necessary.

    Literally all the time.

I was hoping to find a PvP crown rage quit and disbanding story.

I might be guilty of this .. after the run, when I say "thanks for the run, and bye", I quit the group .. if I'm the leader, I might misclick and disband by inadvertance, because I go too fast/don't take time to read.

I know it happened, and I apologize.
