We wanted to touch on this as we've seen the feedback around this change. The intention here was not to "ruin" the event, but rather bring it inline with team expectations. The writs are limited this time around to reduce the amount of writ spamming that occurred during the last event.

The problem is the ‘writ spamming’ was a big draw; I’ve got dozens of Master Writs and without the event there isn’t much incentive to do them. They don’t count as dailies for the Anniversary event either, as it stands they’re just chores.

The writs are limited this time around to reduce the amount of writ spamming that occurred during the last event. The amount of spamming did not line up with the team's intention for the event. While we know this a frustrating change for some, it was a change made with careful consideration for the overall health of the event.
That being said, there is always room for adjustment in the future, so please continue to share your feedback.
What is considered writ spamming? How many master writs is considered writ spamming?NoxiousBlight wrote: »Thanks for ruining this event by limiting the writs.

@Kelinmiriel Thanks for the questions. Regarding your first one, we'll take that back to the team and see if they can provide any clarity there.
Regarding your second question. We don't have anything to report on this right now. We can confirm the team is aware of the feedback regarding the event timer here. We have also passed this feedback on. If there are any changes to this, we will be sure to update on the forums and our social channels. But nothing to report at the moment.
The writs are limited this time around to reduce the amount of writ spamming that occurred during the last event.
Save them until witches fest and cash in the double XP.

Okay but what about all the spamming that occurs during other events such as the Undaunted event where people just sit by the door of Fungal Grotto and spam that dungeon, completely skipping most bosses and add wave’s because they can cheese the dungeon? Most people can finish that dungeon in the same amount of time it takes to do a single master writ, but there is no limit on how many dungeons you can run, per day, per account.
This event has been ruined for crafters and resource farmers such as myself.
