Boy, I sure am glad that ZOS listens to our feedback about how the event all about crafting has nerfed the crafting down to a completely pointless endeavour where the best way to earn stuff is to kill things. Again.

Agreed, they really know how to ruin a event. First they make it so people on the east coast get 3 extra event ticket by changing the reset time to not match the event timers, then they nerf the event that saw the most excitement from my guilds. When I told them of the nerf they were really bummed. And none of the quarter ticket rewards have been of any interest. No cool mounts, no cool anything other than the morph pet. They should fire whoever did the event planning for this year,

You guys really ruined this event, this was a perfect event for solo players/crafters. Was so much fun last year!

At the very least remove the guildmate requirements, so everyone can farm boxes without relying on other players.

ZOZ event is a shell of what it was last year. Last year it was my favorite one after the anniversary. This year it is the bottom of the pile and the most "meh" event in ESO.

Thanks for ruining this event by limiting the writs.

Also I loathe the "with a guildmate" requirement that ZOS is hopped up on these days. It just makes the game more restrictive and less fun to play.

I won't be participating in anything that requires me to group up, let alone with a guildmate. And I guess I'll just have to sell all of the extra writs I have sitting in my bank that I kept over the past year, since I can only do 14 of each. Boo-urns all around.

Thanks for ruining this event by limiting the writs.

We wanted to touch on this as we've seen the feedback around this change. The intention here was not to "ruin" the event, but rather bring it inline with team expectations. The writs are limited this time around to reduce the amount of writ spamming that occurred during the last event. The amount of spamming did not line up with the team's intention for the event. While we know this a frustrating change for some, it was a change made with careful consideration for the overall health of the event.

That being said, there is always room for adjustment in the future, so please continue to share your feedback.

The problem is the ‘writ spamming’ was a big draw; I’ve got dozens of Master Writs and without the event there isn’t much incentive to do them. They don’t count as dailies for the Anniversary event either, as it stands they’re just chores.

    @ZOS_Kevin

The team's "expectations" often conflict with what players find fun, and that is the crux of the problem.

It is the same problem with the new endeavors on the PTS. ZOS keeps limiting play styles to fit the "expectations" and the end result is less fun for everyone.

Gone is the anticipation for this event and the joy of spamming those writs. I'll do my little one a day for each type then when the event is done i'll never look forward to it again. I don't care if the event is "healthy" now - because guess what? The event is now dull.

Does the team understand why the anniversary event is so fun for everyone? Why people look forward to it all year? I'm not sure they do because they sucked that joy right out of this event. And when U39 goes live they are going to suck more joy out of the endeavor system.

I'm not trying to sound hostile here, but i'm just flabbergasted at the direction these things are going.

What is considered writ spamming? How many master writs is considered writ spamming?

Personally I do not use add-ons, and it took me the entire event last year(full days, porting back/forth to my house) to get all of my stored master writs done. I get that some players use add-ons to do a gazillion writs instantly, but if that is the problem, maybe the allowing of add-ons should seriously be looked into. Gimping events, and taking all the fun out of events, should not be happening simply because of add-ons(if this is the reason).

The entire idea of this event was to reward crafters who put in the effort every day(crafting dailies). And even though the zenithar boxes often didn't drop anything worthwhile, getting the few extra crafting materials from these boxes was a fun incentive. Keep in mind, doing the master writs during this event is now a big negative versus doing them during a double exp event(double voucher drops maybe?!?). And master writs themselves are limited due to how many we get, we can't farm them either as they are random drops. So limiting master writs for this event was not needed, as the droprate of the master writs themselves was already the limit.

Thanks for atleast looking into our feedback, was really hoping you guys would atleast remove the "with guildmate" requirements from this year's event though.

    @ZOS_Kevin - I have two questions, please.

First, about the 2021 collectibles. For people who missed those the first time, it's going to take 45 tickets to get the Deadlands Firewalker personality, and there are 39 tickets available this time, and of course, some new things to buy too.

Will these continue to be available, so they can just start picking up pieces as they have tickets available?

Also, my friends who RP are really thrilled at the chance to get more personalities, so thank you!!

Second - there's still the problem about only having 4 hours to get those last tickets on the NA. A lot of us are losing 2-3 tickets every event, compared to the EU, where they have 11 hours. Simple solution would be to start and end events at reset, since resets are at different times on the different servers now. That would end the whole partial-day thing entirely, and be completely fair to everyone.

Is there any chance that will be fixed? I am very, very tired of having my sleep schedule messed up so badly every time there's an event to get my last few tickets. My friends and guildies are also very tired of either messing up their schedules to get their last tickets, or just plain losing them - every single event. (It's been 12 tickets so far. That's 3000 crowns worth of tickets.)

    Please help us! Thank you.

Edited to add how many tickets have been affected by the timer change, then minor corrections. Oops.

So when the ‘team expectations’ of the ‘overall health’ of this event mean we all just go hit world Bosses in Deeshan for the first 3 days then give up on the event entirely or become thieves and steal and not actually do any ‘hard’ work is healthy for the event? Players ‘doing hard work’ by Taking hours to craft Master writs spending hours in game is not healthy? Does the team actually play anymore? I mean a vanilla account where they have to build from scratch not a fully loaded account with everything? Because if they did and actually play tested events they would see you just turned a unique event into a boring World Boss Smash event like SO many other events we now have. Thanks ZoS

Nor should we be reduced to a 4-hour window to get tickets. :(

I'm in Eastern time, but I have insomnia and sleep better in the mornings (I'm retired), so staying up until 1 or 2am for the old reset, wasn't too bad. Now? I can either stay up until 6am, which is ridiculous, or try to get up at 9am, which is very hard for me.

It's a lot worse for my West Coast friends, who have their 4-hour window from 3-7am.

It's not fair that EU has 11 hours to get their last tickets and we have 4 on NA. I don't mind that they have 11 - just give us a fair shot on NA also. It used to be 8-9 hours for everyone.

@Kelinmiriel Thanks for the questions. Regarding your first one, we'll take that back to the team and see if they can provide any clarity there.

Regarding your second question. We don't have anything to report on this right now. We can confirm the team is aware of the feedback regarding the event timer here. We have also passed this feedback on. If there are any changes to this, we will be sure to update on the forums and our social channels. But nothing to report at the moment.

"Spamming" writs? These are top tier crafters that can "spam" writs in such a manner - folks who know perhaps over 100 motifs, all traits, often with their own houses full of set tables. Folks have worked very hard for a long time to achieve the ability of "spamming' writs. It is not like they are doing them for free, either, or instantly. It takes hours and hundreds of thousands of golds worth of materials to 'spam' writs.

Does the team think that a character performing 110k dps "spamming" is in line with their expectations of dungeon and trial accomplishments and awards? Perhaps it would be more fair if such dps numbers were only achievable for the first second of every fight, yes? No? And yet this occurs every day. Where is the 'careful consideration' here?

There are only a few days of the year - this Zenithar event - which are presented as themed at least partially for crafters, and yet after the team's 'careful consideration' more can now be accomplished by killing world bosses than by crafting.

    Couple issues with this:
    1. I don’t really need the XP
    2. Witches Festival isn’t until October, meaning I wouldn’t be touching them for months
    3. Witches Festival I WANT to run around killing things instead of locking myself in a closet and battling load screens to make and turn in specific items.

This event is supposed to be specifically for crafting, and it’s grating that I can’t use it for its intended purpose. Is it not desirable that I engage with the event, and by extension the game?

Okay but what about all the spamming that occurs during other events such as the Undaunted event where people just sit by the door of Fungal Grotto and spam that dungeon, completely skipping most bosses and add wave’s because they can cheese the dungeon? Most people can finish that dungeon in the same amount of time it takes to do a single master writ, but there is no limit on how many dungeons you can run, per day, per account.

This event has been ruined for crafters and resource farmers such as myself.

Eh, there is a timer that you have to wait out between boss kills. FG1 can be done in like 4 minutes killing all bosses but you won't get event box drops for all bosses doing so. You would have to wait either 3 or 5 minutes between bosses (can't remember which). Which leads to a lot of standing around and waiting.

I imagine the issue is also that people prepped 100s of writs in advance and turned them all in at once. Basically chewing through all of their saved master writs within the first like hour of the event. Personally, I remember doing close to 50 or 60 on day 1, prepped them all the night before and just stood there and turned them in. You can't really do that with a dungeon boss.

Whilst it is appreciated that there is solo content available in this event why do ZOS find it necessary to insist on joining others for some content in what are supposed to be fun events for everyone? There seems no logical reason to say that if I come across a world boss either solo or by joining in with others who happen to be there that its completion should not count in such an event as this.

I play several times each day but have to keep each session relatively short. Consequently I do not attempt to involve myself in group activities.

No doubt a significant number of players have commitments or other issues causing similar difficulties in available time.

The game offers great opportunities for players to play the way that suits them best but more and more ZOS seem intent on spoiling that experience for some. Perhaps even many...does anyone really know? For example, I complete dungeons not because I particularly enjoy what are usually merely speed runs for one or more other players but because I am completing it for the initial quest rewards and story, to get transmutation crystals or whilst doing an event.
