DK needs a 13% Damage Nerf

    Because I have no clue what figure, if any, is appropriate. Note I haven't voted on my own poll. I lean towards unnerfing HP Regen. Not so much because I think it in itself is healthy for TTK (at its nominal values prior to the nerf anyhow) - but because it was a fundamental variable of balance that was massively disrupted and not later adjusted in places it perhaps should've been.

    No, DK is fine
    It makes sense that HP regen gets cut in half because healing also gets cut in half and hp regen practically is a form of healing, so it gets standardized, but it was a stupid change because hp regen overall was a bad stat before and only a few sources were OP because they were 3x as stat dense as the rest. It would have made more sense to nerf the overperforming sources and double hp regen in PvE were it wasnt used much anyway. A minor set bonus of hp regen gives 129 - the same amount as a minor set bonus mag/stam regen or wpn/spell dmg. A juwlry glyph of hp regen also gives the same amount as a juwelry glyph of stam/mag regen. The steed mundus stone also gives same amount but additional movement speed. Legendary buff foods give hp regen in addition to the slightly increased stats of their purple version. Troll king gave 1500 hp regen when healed under 50% hp for 10 seconds until it was nerfed to 900 in update 26, ironically the same update ZoS startet hp regen meta by introducing eternal vigor which gives stam/mag when >50%hp anf 3x the amount as health regen when below that and buffed allessian armor to give 2% insteat of 1% of your physical+spell resistance as hp regen allowing you to get 2k hp regen*percent buffs when stacking 50k armor. In update 28 they tripled hp regen of beekeeper that preveosly had 300 hp regen, same amount as hundings wpn dmg.
    So for spreedsheeting minor set boni 1 wpn dmg is worth 1 hp regen and for spreedsheeting major set boni worth 3 hp regen. That is somehow inconsistend.
    For PvP combat 1 wpn dmg is worth more than 1 hp regen but (not)surprisingly less than 3 hp regen.
    Almost noone used hp regen minor juwelry glyphs or liked hp regen minor set boni in his sets(only using them when they use set for other reasons), but players were using 3x stat dense hp regen 5piece set boni and still usefree hp regen from Legendary buff food(orzargas smoked bear hunch over juwels of misrule).
    But insteat of removing this inconsistency and giving a new unitarian exchange rate like maybe 2 hp regen for 1 wpn dmg ZoS just nerfs all hp regen by 50% by battlespirit.
    Since then they introduced a few sets that gave about1k hp, 3x as stat dense as normal.
    In update 37 they introduced roska and a set that gives triregen for 45 seconds after using a pot, both of them get the same amount of hp regen as mag/stam regen and are that makes them bad because hp regen is almost useless stat and the mag/stam regen is lower because of it.

    I see people make this statement every time there's a call for a nerf in PvP, and I have to ask why on earth anyone would think this is a good idea. ZOS creates so many balance issues whenever they "adjust" 1 class, so don't you think this would be magnified at least x6 if they tried to rebalance an over-performing class by buffing the other 6? Even if they did it perfectly the end result would be the same as if they just nerfed DK.

    You can make classes more fun to play with buffs as they feel powerful, but there is a limit if they all have a super damage reduction, then it feels like you say. It has to be a little of both.

    I am so anti nerf. No. I’m not even playing my DK so I am not benefiting. That poor class was absolutely gutted 2 years after the game released. They just now came back. Take the L. Lol

    DK isn't performing that well in PVE in anything but arenas. A 10%+ damage nerf would really hurt a class that is barely good in PVE, and only actually top tier when it comes to chart topping in arenas. My suggestion is there to make it so DK doesn't get shoved into the bottom of the damage charts in PVE, since most classes need some kind of buff.

    Yes, nerfing DK would fix the problem in PVP. But cause more problems in PVE. My suggestion is to try and not cause problems to the PVE side.


    ...But if Zos just balanced the two game modes separately, then a nerf to DK in PVP would be totally fine.

    Although it seems they're out of style now. Shielding, proc, arcanists seem to be the thing

    This is another comment I see repeatedly, that ZOS should balance separately for PvP and PvE, which they already sort of do with Battle Spirit. The only real way I see to do this is to completely redesign the class skills to have dedicated PvP-specific skills/morphs and PvE-specific skills/morphs (which they kind of do in some cases), which would require a huge amount of programming work and would undoubtedly create a firestorm of complaints from those who vehemently hate PvP or PvE.

    It's like the calls for a separate vet overland, dead in the water. ZOS has stated repeatedly that they have no plans to do extensive redesigns of existing content.

    All those DK are fine votes... guaranteed those are all DK players because thats mostly all thats left now. Dragon knights and wardens are so beyond stupid over powered they have destroyed pvp, the player base has never been smaller and now is basically just those two classes. Just last night I watched for 20 minutes as two groups of Dragon knights and wardens were fighting at a tower while me and 3 others were hitting them with cold fire siege at the same time.. not a single person in those two groups could be killed. Not a single one's health was ever in danger of flickering below 50% and if it got close to 50% is was for a brief moment at best. It was the most boring thing ever and in the end the two groups just stop fighting and went their own way because they could not kill each other.

    MAJOR FAIL BY THE DEVELOPERS, I hope the owners Microsoft are taking note and intend to make some much needed changes in ZOS.
