Been PVPing for about two years or so and really enjoying it. There could be some love given to Cyrodill or IC though in my opinion.

ONE: It would be nice to have skill points or some type of addition to allow us to pack up all our siege quickly or allow us to pack them individually quicker.

TWO: I love burning enemies siege equipment, it's my speciality on my NB. Perhaps getting AP for burning siege?

THREE: Allow easier ways to get back to home base in IC or at least port or walk back up to the zone in points each area. It's the main reason I stay out of there, getting around is a real pain.

Just some small ideas of my own. Feel free to add yours. And as always there is the lag but it's not so bad unless it's prime time.

Four: Make roles matter in PVP zones. Each role should have it own set of advantages and disadvantages in PVP zones.

Five: Enemies should not be able to go invisible right in front of your eyes.

    Six: Jumping should cost stamina

Seven: If you are in mid air from a jump or from falling players attacks that land should automatically knock down the player.

Only one idea right now: Limit deployed siege to one (1) per person at a time. No groups of two or three people deploying a field of siege and cycling through them as they cooldown.

Wouldn't mind cooldowns pausing when noone is on the siege either.

Class imbalance makes the game a lot less fun right now.

I wish the combat devs would live stream themselves playing all of the classes in pvp.

You do know Tel Var vendor sells the "Sigil of Imperial Retreat" that you can use in IC to port back to base from anywhere in the districts or sewers? If you don't want to spend the AP you can simply queue for an empty Cyro campaign, enter it and then do the same to get back into the original IC campaign, where you'll enter back at the base. Takes maybe 10-15 seconds with SSD loading times.

    • nerf point blank AoE abilities damage and cap them at 6 targets so they cant be cheesed by ball groups (steel nado, eye of the storm, etc)
    • buff RANGED AoE spells and abilities (cones, splash or floor AoE) by 100% and remove AoE cap (viable skills would be things like wall of elements, ranged morph of impulse, graveyard, arrow spray, etc)
    • make healing and health regen debuffs unpurgable.
    • make HoT's diminish for stacking, encouraging variety of abilities used and to discourage cheese stacking the same HoT's.
    • nerf mara's balm to 3 debuffs triggering the purge OR make the Cooldown 45seconds
    • nerf templars self purge to 2 debuffs (synergy remains unchanged reinforcing the teamwork part of it)
    • reduce the cost of siege shields and its morphs by 25% so people feel more need to use them, buff the propelling shield (the cast range morph) by making it so allies inside the shield gain major evasion, buff the siege shield morph by giving it a passive slot of major+minor vitality and healing delt by you is reduced by 15% (this would reinforce that you can use it while sieging since you will be easier to heal but not easier to heal yourself reinforcing teamwork)
    • reduce the cast time of inevitable detonation by 15% (this is the ranged version of proximity detonation... bet you forgot that existed)
    • reduce the cost of purge by 50% and debuffs purged to 2 BUT each cast doubles the cost of the next for the next 6 seconds (stacking, same treatment as streak)
    • reduce the cost of revealing flare by 50%, buff projectile speed by 25% and increase the stealth block by 2 seconds BUT same as before, double the cost every time you spam it
    • buff the Reach passive to 3 instead of 2 and reduce the minimum range from 28 to 25
    • add stamina drain to frost damage, magicka drain to shock damage and resource cost increase to disease debuffs, these would strictly impact PvP as PvE enemies do not use resources.
    • @Holycannoli "Only one idea right now: Limit deployed siege to one (1) per person at a time. No groups of two or three people deploying a field of siege and cycling through them as they cooldown." Adding this one to the list because this is super based and needs awareness

do all these and MAYBE we can see some balance (and maybe some buff/debuff bloat lag removal?) brought in to bust up this annoying and quite frankly boring blob meta thats been around for to damn long

Before anything gets buffed or nerfed, improving server performance and reducing lag must be a priority. Even using the same build, character and skills, some players have an unfair advantage because they have better connectivity and better ping rates (lower latency).

Everything I do takes at least 1/2 a second to take effect and when added to the delay in me knowing that I needed to do it (being attacked for example), I'm often dead to multiple attacks before my first reaction can take effect.

I will say I disagree to limited players to one siege weapon at a time. If someone wants to use and risk multiple siege weapons, let them.

Asking for ways to improve the PVP experience without fixing the lag is like asking for ways to build a nice car without wheels, engine and seats. You can build the best looking game around this freaking lag, and it will not be fun when you can not use your skills.

No! The only topic should be the lag. Nothing else. Until the lag is fixed we should not waste our time with anything else. The lag has to go and we must not pretend that it's not there! It's insulting to leave this beautiful game in an awful state like this. We should not pretend that there are alternative ways to improve this game. The only thing that makes sense right now is making it playable by fixing the performance issues!

Well you used to not even be able to enter IC unless your alliance owned the inner ring of keeps in Cyrodiil, and whoever was in IC counted toward the pop cap. You effectively had a limited time in IC because another alliance would be taking the keeps and thus entry while your alliance was inside raiding instead of outside defending the keeps.

Worked basically like DAOC's Darkness Falls if anyone besides me is familiar with that.

It's better the way it is now but yes it does take something away from the experience.

Bring back the Mode Queues for BGs, get rid of Random if need be, and fix the Leaderboards. It may be a small subset of players that are interested in competing for Objective Leaderboards but it exists, Sunday afternoon used to be a lively time for these modes.

It was removed because instead of separating the DM and Objective queues, they let the Objective Queue draw from the DM queue. Since the DM queue was more popular, it meant that every match was a deathmatch, even if you queued for the objective queue.

Instead of fixing it by splitting the queues properly, they decided to remove the player's choice in what gamemode they wanted to play.

Because you know, removing player choice is always a good idea.

Improve the BG objective modes. Seriously. It's been discussed to death, but the modes are horribly designed. They don't encourage engagement with the enemy team, and most of the modes can be won without even dealing damage.

Yes, let's gut the class even more, in fact I'd like to go one further and suggest remove all of their skill entirely *End of sarcasm*. But seriously, please don't do this ZOS.

    My suggestions;
    1. Let us stack seige in our inventory for the love of all that's holy.

    2. Nerf DKs..

    3. Shrines in the gates to be able to change attributes and skills.

    4. Make guards fight harder the less home keeps you have. I.e. if you had one last keep before you were gated then it's like a last stand for your alliance. The guards would be fighting like their homeland depended on it.

    5. Have a mechanism to get gaurds to do a sweep of inside the walls for enemies and mark them for x amount of time. Perhaps this could cost AP or something.

    6. FIX THE COMBAT BUG!!!!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous how this is a thing. Fix it.

    7. Give Rewards of the Worthy a low, random chance to drop something from the overland or dungeons. The current loot is basically worthless and the market gets flooded with the same rubbish. It would be lovely to get something other than Langour of Pertyite or an Enervating Girdle.

    8. Fix the combat bug.

    *Outside of Cyro I have I e suggestion;

Create a sort of gladiatorial arena where we can get duels, small-scale group v groups and even players working with players against monsters. You could have viewing platforms which others could watch from and place bets with gold.

It would serve as additional PVP and potentially PVE content, also as a hub of activity. Imagine a chaotic scene of rag tag traders, punters betting on the brave warriors in the arena, leaderboards where legends are made etc. You could even have gladiator specific loot drops*

    1. Make siege hit harder the more people that are around it. ex. 1-4 people damage the same as now, 4-8 people damage 33% more, 8-and up 75% more.
    2. If 5 seconds have gone by and you havent attacked or been attacked the out of combat should trigger. Ending the nonsense of the combat bug.
    3. If an enemy keep is unflagged, there should be a "magic" perimeter that you should not be able to stealth in. Maybe it kinda outlines you in a ghostly form or something but the faction that owns the keep can stealth. If the keep is burst then anyone can stealth in it until the keep unflags. Whoever owns the keep should have the advantage.
    4. Put doors or a magic barrier on the upper part of trikeeps that only allows the faction that owns it to get to the top ontil the flags are taken. And/or reduce the amount of line of sight on the upper part. Reducing groups from just farming the upper parts of keeps by getting out of the line of sight.
    5. Let us have a list of the quest that are offered at our home base, and as we complete certain ones that option disappears until reset. Scroll quests maybe the only exception. The rewards of materials should include gold mats and other rewards as well.
    6. Let siege stack, at least 10 or so.

    For battlegrounds:
Bring back Deathmatch or Other queue.

    Other big pain point:
When I get CC’d, half the time it won’t let me break free. I’m literally just sitting there getting hammered to death for 5 seconds, even though I have enough stamina. Happens especially when getting zerged. Seems like a bug/glitch,

Remove snare immunity from race against time. Remove snare immunity from snow treaders mythic. Lower snare immunity time to 2 seconds for all other abilities. Get rid of 1000 base line weapon/spell damage. Increase crit resist trait on helm, chest, legs.

I think these would make pvp a lot more fun and bring back some better gameplay like we had in the past.

After fixing the lag (which is the most important improvement) I would suggest a better balanced between possible builds such as virtual one-shots and super tanky builds that can still do some damage. Of course, one cannot prevent bad builds.

Resistance to stuns after breaking free needs to be more reliable and a little longer to be effective in my opinion or we need access to a means to make it so.

nerf passive sustain and base mag, stam, and w/s damage

buff active sustain such as heavy attacks

make imbue weapon and morphs useful for lining up burst

buff both defiles to 10 and 20% respectively

make empower work in pvp again

add a % damage done penalty to heavy armor and %damage done bonus to light armor

remove the %physical and magic damage taken penalties from light and heavy armor

instead of biasing medium and light armor towards stam or mag respectively, make one reduce costs and the other increase sustain

add refresh conditions to some buff skills. For example: Refresh Rally/forward momentum with a full heavy, and refresh shuffle/elude by successfully dodging an attack

Add a bounty system to all BG modes. For example, if someone is on a 5 kill spree shutting them down should give your team 50 points and whoever scores the KB should get a 500 point medal (little things)

Make a small section of each vanilla map "contested" with it's own three banners war related objective. Holding this objective gives all players in your faction that maps mundus stone while they are on the map or in a dungeon connected to that map. This PVP>PVE incentive would encourage high end PVE groups to work within their faction and create conflict between factions, adding greatly to immersion.

Encourage more activity in IC through double telvar weekends and other incentives

design a means to unlock dungeon sets through pvp

    remove the cooldown for offbalance.

remove the 2 meter range increase on melee for dragon knights, make 7 or 8 meters the standard for all melee attacks.

reduce the number of iframes on dodges, and make it clear when a miss is determined. Is the miss determined on cast or on impact? Ranged attacks with a travel time are way to iffy

reduce all spammable and ultimate level AOE damage by 15-25%

Replace all knockbacks with a knockdown stun. Desync is a real problem, and the game can't really support these moves in the current state of its performance. As much as I do think knockbacks belong in modern games.

Ability to host deathmatch and dueling parties in our homes, using the home as the map

Add a cast time to every burst heal

create a new class of heals "execute heals" that retain the instant cast time but scale up with the targets missing % health. Reaching the potency of a burst heal at around 15% health. These should be about as expensive as a burst heal.

premade 12 man BG lobbies that allow for assigned teams

If a set ignores an established precedent, fix it. No set procs should be ignoring cc immunity. It's called CC immunity because it makes you immune to CC.

adding a damage bonus to jumping heavy attacks would be kind of fun, but not very high up on the wish list.

    (The obvious, fix lag)

    1. Fix the numerous bugs that plague the game and have done so for years now (combat bug, desyncs, 50k hour long debuffs etc).

    2. Balance classes better so that all classes can compete at all levels (even if some are still better, keep them only slightly better, not the current "better to the point of no other class can compete unless it's played by the best players in the game").

    3. Balance weapon lines better, these are crucial because they are what allows the classes to fill the gaps in their class kits and currently with resto's nerf back in U34, sorcerer does not have good options to fill the gap in its class kit (healing), like the other classes have (executes, spammables, DoTs, mitigation) from the other weapon lines/world abilities.

    4. Rework stacking mechanics in the game for PvP. Do this by using battle spirit to either:
    - Give very heavily diminishing returns for the stacking the same ability/effect/buff on players in PvP areas (1st cast does full heal/damage/mitigation, second does 66% of full, 3rd cast 33% of full, 4th or more does nothing).
    - Place a hard limit on the amount of stacks of the same ability that can affect a player. Limit it to 2-3 stacks max, any additional casts of that same ability only refresh the duration instead of adding another stack.

I love spamming my instant heal just as much as the next pvp enthusiast. I also dislike the stalemates that are created by spammable burst heals as much as any pvp enthusiast. We would all die more, but it would be because we couldn't create the conditions to get a burst heal off. Having to create the space to heal up would be a fun and rewarding mechanic to add to eso pvp.

Other games with strong healing have cooldowns, limited charges, and/or cast times to limit how easy it is to heal up. Since ESO doesn't use cooldowns and sustain is so generous, I believe cast times are the best way to balance how potent burst heals are.
