    I've just been sitting around drinking coffee, reading the forums and watching TV. I don't normally log on until around noon or 1pm Pacific time anyway.

    Never take launch day off in any game. That's just asking for disappointment. ESO is actually better at this than a lot of games. I would actually consider taking day 2 off for ESO......other titles I have played??? Day 3....and there are two titles I have played that I wouldn't take a day off to play the new content til week 2.

    and when I say games...I mean MMO;s particularly......they have a whole host of issues that standard not MMO games have to deal with.

    Or, at the very least, they could start these scheduled maintenances at 2 AM. Then, if they go an hour or 2 over - no biggie. They are still up and going by 6 or 7 AM. At least, no biggie for probably about 90% of the ESO players. I know, there are some people working graveyard shifts, or night shifts, that like to play at 4 AM, and I feel for you - but not most of us.

    Come on ESO - at least try to make some effort to act like you care about your customers.

    Why is it working on the EU server, though? That I can't understand, why it's just focused on the NA one

    Since they are separate servers, I'm guessing the issue is with the server itself, and not the game? Just a guess. They said it had to do with the database I believe, so maybe a file related to the server got corrupted or missing maybe?

    Is this really that unexpected or surprising? Things always happen on patch day. In this situation the unexpected is expected.

    they probably should do that - some of them might be working since 2am - they must be famished meanwhile. I vote for Pizza time for them and we'll wait for an hour longer, how about that?

    Why should they start at 2am? It's not the emergency services or a hospital.

    Exercise a bit of patience and stop expecting people to give up their nights to go to work so that you can play a game.

    The servers were up when he posted that. They were taken down again at 6 am.

    I wasn't surprised or mad that it happened. I knew it would. I've learned years ago never to expect to play on expansion release day. Warcrack used to be much worse than ESO especially on huge patch days.
