It's not the internet connections. I run speedtest during the "wait for the play button" and my internet is just as solid as it always is. They've borked something, as usual.
Good intel, yep.Yes.
Ping 15ms - 250/250mbps - https://
Problem is not with my internet.
i think it related to in-game ping. So if your Play button apear slowly, then you will probably encounter a high ping in game.
Indeed , same in-game ping as i've always had since 2013 betai think it related to in-game ping. So if your Play button apear slowly, then you will probably encounter a high ping in game.
Ping is no different than it ever was... Been in the same location for roughly 4 years with essentially the same ping (92ms as I write this) and all of this started in the past few weeks with the constant stream of errors and issues with the game.
Yeah i must admit, it does seem a bit sketchy sometimes. ...Ahh the wondrous mysteries of The Matrix ...Gaeliannas wrote: »NeeScrolls wrote: »Thanks EVERYONE for all the replies so far! So i went ahead an bumped @Fabi95 's reply as a potential "yes" .The "Play" button can be delayed when your connection is not fast enough. I noticed that the launcher downloads web resources on each start, and these resources are surprisingly big (multiple Megabytes). Even when normally your connection is fast, it could be a peering problem with your Internet provider as well.
It "may" be a connection issue for some, but I bet not most. It just started happening and unless the whole worlds Internet connection coincidentally went down the drain at the same time ZOS made a change, pretty sure it isn't us. Not to mention my gig Internet connection is rock solid and I literally have issues with nothing, except ESO.
That's like when U33 dropped and Win 7 systems suddenly couldn't open Chrome and other browsers after playing ESO. They said stuff like "check your internet connection, update Windows," etc. Like all of a sudden our computers all locked up at the same time? Really?
Yeah sometimes hangs on me also and have to force shut down the launcher, have a 1 gig fiber line and such so its not on my end.
It started after the last launcher update, have found starting it in admin mode helps some but not always.

and mine still averages 350-400, so based on that logic, I'd be waiting all day for the Play button to appear.FeedbackOnly wrote: »

Windows 11 actually fixes this. It manages background resources with the improvemed game launcher
