Limiting CPU cores is not an acceptable 'solution' to something that UPDATE 33 started causing. Do I even need to tell you that?

https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/601044/fps-has-dropped-since-the-last-update-stutters-and-non-fluid-movement-nvidia-inside

It's been 3 weeks since all of this is being reported in multiple topics.

The game is going absolutely nuts with CPU usage. Update 33 broken something. Why is it being ignored, passed off and never responded too? So many topics, so many complaints. 3 weeks.

As far as I know, the FPS drops have never even been officially acknowledged. The irony is that the devs claim they are withholding certain aspects of the game's development to maintain support for old consoles. If so, why have they just broken the game for what appears to be mostly older CPUs (mine is a Ryzen 1700x).

I've met 3 people who uninstalled and quit. They believe that ZoS deciced to make the game less accessible with Update 33 and refuses to talk about it. People are going to keep uninstalling. It's not one of those 'just ignore it and it goes away' things.

Closing the old thread, because it was "resolved," sends a pretty clear message. Intentionally hamstringing your CPU through one means or the other is not a resolution. I have to wonder, too, with the problems on the NA server, how many folks are unknowingly frying their CPUs as they wait in super-long load screens. I now play ESO with a CPU temperature and usage monitor running in the background and check it frequently. Maybe they could add a new armor set: Adds 100 Weapon and Spell damage when your CPU is at 100% or hotter than 100C.

The only thing you can do now is to modify SET maxcorestouse 4 "8" and SET RequestedNumJobThreads. You can refer to my parameters, or you can try other parameters.https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/601327/

I think this may be the reason my game is currently frequently blackscreening, when it never has been before. :(

    XBOX 2015-2019
    PC-NA 2019-2022
ESO was lost to the depths

Just spent the last 2 hours just trying to download this. Glad I stopped by the forums to find out that unfortunately Zos still doesn't care about performance! Back to GW2 and searching for something else I guess.

Big defragmentation that should improve the game, either... 10 mn of play and crash, back to the start page...

there is no need to say it is a good improvement...

I have to renew my ESO+ in a few days and I wonder if it's wise... with the good performing games that have just been released, it makes me think...
