Getting kicked before my characters come up.

I think a LOT of people are trying to log in right now. I started logging in on my characters and I keep getting kicked out when trying to switch toons, AND after about the third one got put into a login queue as well.

I've been having probs for about half an hour now. Various types of errors blocking me. Got as far as Character Select twice, but then it just sits and spins. And my most recent attempt put me in a 1 second queue for a minute before going to a load screen, and finally giving me an "Unable to connect to game server" error. I'm on PCNA.

Presumably it's everybody (1) downloading the new client, and (2) logging in and out with various characters to update their achievements. Might be an evening of delays.

I can't log back in now either. This started after I started freezing up when trying to go inside any of my houses.

I was on just fine about 45 minutes ago on my main account. Was logging in on my alt and I guess it's not happening now.
Guess I'll go watch TV.

It took me about 6 tries to get on 15 minutes ago. Told the server was busy. Told I'd lost my internet connection. Made it to the character screen, then told my account was already logged in. Put into a queue that never ends. Etc. I'm in now but moving from one instance to another can take 4-5 minutes. Not sure what's going on but it's never been this bad for me.

The website downdetector shows many players unable to log in. The login server might be down.

Yep was on earlier and its fine and now I can barely get to character select. It actually got me into game, spawned me inside the ground and nothing was functional. Lol hopefully fixed soon

Same here.
I was in earlier today, now I can't get past the char select screen.
Being queued, booted while queued, erroring out telling me to check that I have a valid internet connection??

I've been on during some very populated events and never had issues like this.
Now I can't even load a character. WTH?

UPDATE:
Was finally able to get into game. Then dared to try and leave the HotLC into Rimmen, 3 minutes loading and counting...

UPDATE 2:
HOLY CARP, OVER FIVE MINUTES JUST TO LEAVE MY HOUSE?
Could you guys maybe give the server hamsters some more food? Oil their wheel, something??

Final Update:
I was actually able to load into N. Elsweyr, kill a couple dragons, do dailies on one character.
Did not port out of zone, was afraid to try lol.
Using wayshines in zone seemed normal. Did not switch characters to do writs and training on other characters bcuz again, was afraid to.
Fighting what I decided would be my last dragon, going awesomely aaaaand, freeze.

Tried logging back in, queued, then booted back to log in screen telling me to check my net connection...

I'm done, gonna go enjoy my game time in Horizon FW.

Yup, got in no issues during lunch (around 1pm PDT) with no issues for my daily rewards. Now I can't log in at all.

tried to log back in, account already logged in
Lost connection to lobby.
No internet connection error message.


EU server works fine for me.

Yes me too, can't login - it keeps saying I don't have a valid internet connection?! I was logged on but zoning was taking ages and when I was at the guild brokers - nothing was coming up so I thought maybe I should restart and now I can't get back in.

I got lucky and signed in. But don't change zones it locks up on the loading screens also.

This is fun. For 36 minutes now I’ve been in a cycle.

1) Login queue that says 1 second but persists for over a minute

2) Kicked back to login “unable to establish a connection”

3) “Requesting login” that hangs forever and never progresses, until eventually I get annoyed and close the client

4) Go to step 1

The most fun though is that the 1 time I actually got in, as soon as I started to move I got kicked to login. Error 304 This account is already logged in. HA

It’s not my client, I logged in right after the patch and did writs on all toons without problems. These servers are absolutely unable to handle prime time traffic. One or more of today’s changes completely tanked the stability of the authentication service.

I had a problem this afternoon keeping addons disabled so that I could troubleshoot the glitching/freezing/loadscreens which were being caused by addon issues, I had gotten that far at least, and I had to set it all aside for a while. Now I can't get in, and seeing pretty much the same variety of issues that others are posting here as well on PC/NA

Logging in seems very unstable on my side as well. Had to attempt three times to even get to the character select screen. It finally let me on my first character after a long loading screen. I finished all the daily stuff on that character and was about to move to the next one. I don't think I even made it back to the character select screen before getting sent back to the title screen.

Pretty much decided that I wasn't going to fight with it and am instead going to wait until ZOS is able to look into it.

I got in after several attempts, then after I logged out I couldn't load another character after several minutes. I might just wait til tomorrow

I had no issues til rush hour hit. Everyone coming home from work and updating and logging I assume was the issue. Sorry so many are having issues, but glad it isn't just me KWIM? Three cheers for patch day!

I was making slow progress through my alts (I was purposely logging them in in backwards order) when my friend and I decided to take a break and try one of the new dungeons in normal, to see it.

I changed the group to "normal." I invited my friend to the group. I jumped to the dungeon. I got in (it looked pretty). I got the message that I was being booted from the instance. My theory is that there was a very large delay in the vet to normal change, and that it put me in a vet instance. I picked the option to leave immediately, thinking that I'd just jump back in to the normal one.

That was at least 20 minutes ago. I'm still on a load screen. My friend, while loading into the dungeon, had his game crash completely.

I am not sure if I should force quit the game or what. I'm worried about rollbacks where some of my newly "earned" achievements stay but others don't, messing up my login order plans.
