Hey everyone, just confirming we've seen your reports here and we are actively investigating. We'll let you know when we have information to share.

Edit: Just to confirm, everyone experiencing this issue is crashing before logging in? Has anyone managed to actually log in?

The issue is when you switch to windowed or to fullscreen the game gets into a non-responsive mode. I am using Nvidia updated drivers, it makes me to believe it have something to do with the Nvidia platform.

    Latest:
Just confirmed if using Nvidia Studio drivers 511.65 (which is the latest for that sku), the game will not run. Switching to Nvidia drivers 511.76 (Game drivers mode) fixed the problem.

I also updated to Game driver mode (511.76) and ran ESO client once to make sure the problem went away and then switched back to Studio driver mode (511.65) and reran the client, the problem seemed to fixed itself.

I'm using steam. The game crashes before the bethesda intro is finished and the problem is happening since PTS, as I see in some forum posts and I told in a ticket(closed with no sucess) couple weeks ago.
    Repair not help here
    I'm reinstalling, we'll see.
    w10, nvidia, all updated.

    EDIT: Reinstall didn't fix it.

Can't even get to the login screen. The game just closes itself without any error/crash report appearing. Trying the launcher repair now.
Windows 10, latest nvidia driver, steam.

    EDIT: Repair didn't fix it.

    I'm also having this issue.

I click the play button on launcher. Screen goes black, cursor loads in. I see the login screen and it says requesting log in. (I play from Steam).
Then crash to desktop (Log in does not complete). No error messages.

Running a repair now, so will see if it fixes the issue.
    EDIT:
Repair didn't fix it. Still crashing to desktop after seeing the login screen.
Updated Nvidia drivers to latest version. Still crashes.

Game immediately brought up the crash reporter upon hitting "Play" after the update.

Since then I don't get the crash reporter, but typing in my password and hitting submit makes the game crash to desktop without any error message.

ETA: I do get the "loading character screen" message briefly before the crash. It does not get to the character screen before crashing, though.

    Repair did not fix this.

I can log into the game but have been sitting at a load screen for over five minutes while some lovely music plays. The twirling circle in the lower right corner stopped moving almost immediately. I ran a repair, same issue.

EDIT: I had an NVIDIA driver update to apply and once installed I was able to get into the game.

If you use Daybreak mod try to remove it, it was crashing the game few seconds after launch for me (couldn't even get to character selection screen).

    Tried several options:
    - Repairing the game files (several times)
    - Updating Nvidia drivers
    - Updating addons
    - Removing addons
    - Reinstalling the game
    No luck on any case

Have the same issue - and trying to submit a ticket drops me on a Category selection screen - with no categories to choose from.

I ran repair, attempted to update my NVIDIA drivers (the only one offered me was from September last year - for my 960 GPU) which resulted in a major machine crash, had to restore to the last system restore point (3/8/22), then tried to submit a ticket as Gina instructed above, but it's not letting me do that for whatever reason.

Don't use Daybreak. Removed the addons folder. I have a dxdiag file if I could submit a ticket.

I forgot that I even had Daybreak installed, but apparently I did. Deleted the folder and other files that come with the download, then repaired again to be sure I wasn't missing anything.

Now, instead of crashing at the login and getting a small error window, I crash on a black screen BEFORE the login and get an actual error window with a generic report.

Also just tried it after the update, I get the nice looking High Isle Login screen, hit login, background changes to one of the random load screens (which look really good) where it then freezes after a second or two. I am using a decent PC running windows 10 and the game from Steam {edit- on the EU server}. Will check for updates and driver issues now.

EDIT: drivers etc up to date no changes needed, I can log in to the PTS OK however. Also 'hid' the addon folder jic & still same issue.

Further EDIT: left the game hanging while I was cooking, and returned to find it had eventually timed out, but, on retrying the login it did login, so appears good, will enable addons and check again.

Have a similar issue preventing me from playing, but it's not a crash to desktop. I can load the game up fine, but right as I hit character select, it freezes hard, caught halfway between the loading splash and character select. I can't even Alt+F4, I have to end the ESO task completely.

Repair has done nothing. I'll try updating my drivers, see if that fixes anything, and report back, but there seems to be more than one issue.

Edit: For anyone else with this problem, updating my drivers (Nvidia) seems to have fixed this issue, thankfully.
