Controls Keybindings Not Saving [PC]

It seems that some of the keybindings I set aren't saved when I log out, requiring me to constantly change them to what I want everytime I login. Is anyone aware of this issue and how to fix it? It's becoming quite frustrating.

hi @Ghrimn , i've been here since 'beta' and never personally encountered that problem before. HOWEVER , i did find a few other forum threads about the same topic for you here...

... And it would appear that a couple of those ^ threads somehow relate to having ADD-ONs or game-mods (neither of which i've ever had , so maybe that's why it's never happened to me before i dunno ) .

Anyways, not sure if you are using any add-ons or game-mods , but just figured it wouldn't hurt to show you those other threads just in case it might give you some clues or whatever.

I use no add-ons whatsoever, and never really had this issue before. But recently I created a new character and since then some controls don't get saved in-between logins.

Yeah, i have the same issue. Is it possible it only appears after a unknown number of keybinds? Like if you have more than 30 keybinds, all next ones doesnt get saved any more? Not sure...

However... i fixed it with an addon called "Votans Keybinder" which works perfect. It saves them correctly... and also makes them accountwide.

I'm really not a great fan of using addons, and honestly this should be something that requires no addons... I just hope this issue is fixed in the game instead of relying on addons.

For some reason keybinds are per character.

I know, which is also an hassle. But the problem here is that within the same character some keybinds don't get saved between logins.

I know, which is also an hassle. But the problem here is that within the same character some keybinds don't get saved between logins.

Are you actually logging out from the menu's. or just clicking X on the window to exit the game? If X, that is basically crashing the game and will not save your customizations, you have to log out using the menu's. You can also do a /reloadui after making your changes to save them.

ESO keybindings are saved server-side and should persist from one location to the next. If your keybindings fail to save for any reason, we recommend resetting all bindings back to their default.

From the key bindings menu, we recommend resetting both Keyboard and Gamepad defaults.

• Select R to load keyboard defaults
• Select F to load gamepad defaults
