100 fps on a 144hz monitor, getting stutters in combat?

i have opened a ticket, too (a week ago). same issue with stutters after getting xp (new wayshrine, new part of a map, defeating enemies).

@ZOS_BillE, I've already opened a ticket with a game consultant report. I think it is quite obvious that it is not a hardware issue given that nothing has changed on any of our parts pre/post-Greymoor. I know only a small group of us are facing this particular issue but it is very disruptive to actual play and I hope that the team will not just sweep it under the rug.

@Smarlie / @ZOS_BillE there are more people than you think with this issue according to reddit/ingame chat/and other sources

one week and many hours of trying pointless things (support wrote me) it is very clear (for me it was before trying these configs from support) that they have broken something.
btw @ZOS_BillE support isn't even listening just sending me standard answers "addons are causing this issue, insert port forwarding, your router is causing laggs, driver and so on".. i tested it on several PCs (even one which didn't even see addons once), several networks (even in different cities), on paid business internet (400mbit and best peering partner), tried every suggestion from support....
once again: this issue exists since greymoor update.. never happened before

As I mentioned earlier, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom is the only community representative that has actually acknowledged the issue, although the thread is old and buried in General Discussion. However, the proposed fix/root of the problem is inaccurate, as it does not appear to be related to having un-maxed skills on the bar (after extensive testing across different characters, weapons, all types of variations of skills/no skills slotted on the bar).

@ZOS_BillE, we are not expecting ZOS to rectify the problem immediately, but at least acknowledge that the problem is real (and not related to skills), is server-side, and that there are people working on it. Otherwise, all our reports and tickets are just shouting down a void, and support is just going to continue to dismiss our issues as hardware-driven.

Looking at the forum, its mostly new players, the people earning xp, who are getting this. They arent going to stick around if this happens to them, this is literally a very serious issue that you need to fix to keep the game growing!

im started to play 2,5 month ago, have stutters (and less fps overall) on 2 chars (both 50 lvl, 230 cp)

discussion was forced two bugs to be reported at one place...
1.forced fps to different refresh rate monitor can lead to speeding and/or freezing
2.freezing when gaining exp but fps and monitor Mhz is not necessary condition
freezing when gaining exp already was reported at characters at different lvls and with or without maxed skills in skill bar (even maxed skill lines of the skills at the skill bar)

Just to let you know - It's not a thread about high ping or fps drops but about stutters after getting xp from mobs.

Getting these as well, its not unplayable but pretty damn annoying. It feels like a pretty major bug, something that we'll probably be dealing with for a while unfortunately, as its clearly on ZoS end.

It pauses every time I gain xp basically, very briefly. I haven't tried instances because I'm literally too scared and would rather just not.

Pls fix yo game , came back to buy greymoor on payday since I learned you aren't doing the insane LA/HA changes and immediately opted out after experiencing this bug within the first 5 minutes of gameplay.

Imagine freezing .5 sec every time you gain xp from a mob. So fun dude.

if you mainly doing dungeons, dolmens, raids and so on it is almost unplayable..

Strange how before, at 100 fps on my same monitor I had 0 stutters

I do use RivaTuner to set my framerate to 58 (since my monitor is 60hz and if it goes above 60 I just lose gsync) and it was always worked perfecly, I tried deactivating it and it did improve a tiny bit, like it was just a frame drop when getting xp and no stutter, still extremely annoying and far from fixed but I do hope this gives a clue to the devs/others players what's going on

still no real answer from devs.. just support telling us to deactivate addons, update drivers and so on.. bug seems to exist on consoles too since greymoor.. i am curious if they gonna tell them to uninstall addons too and call nvidia to fix this issue ..

I get this too: very short FPS freeze whenever I change area or discover a wayshrine or kill an NPC. If the NPC doesn't have loot I hardly ever get the freeze, if he does have loot I always get the freeze.

same.. just canceled my eso+ sub.. I am a relatively new player (500h in 2 months) and was very hyped but since greymoor patch I played like 2h..
I think if it's not gonna fixed until end of this week or at least an official statement from devs I am out of this game.. there are lots of games out there..

support doesn't care and is still telling me thats a local problem..

I get insane stutters and freezes whenever doing aoe skills. It was really bad in skyreach, but was even occurring when fightings world bosses one v one. It was mid fight too so not related to xp gain.

Reading this thread i always find the community support's response not only underwhelming, but also a little insulting. It was not an issue prior to the new content, so why would it be our system? I was running a steady 80 - 100 fps prior to this update and now it dips and at times freezes for a second or two. My add-ons are up to date, as is my graphics card driver and windows... Could we just get an acknowledgement rather than redundant IT support tips.

don't think this will ever happen.. after more than a week of support-nonsence and many hundreds of player complaining about this issue (on reddit, here, ingame chat)..
