I refined several thousand ore units and got and appropriate amount of tempering alloy. The drop rate has been about 1% for gold materials on refining.
I don't imagine they would change the drop rate for the new feature. You were probably just unlucky this time.
Except there are multiple posts on the forums where people have refined large stacks of materials at once and not gotten any gold tempers what-so-ever (including myself).
So just because it has worked for you doesn't mean there can't be a bug in there.
If i had to guess, whoever implemented this at ZOS does not roll the dice for each part in a bulk refinement but only rolls the dice once for everything, which would allow for a return of absolutely no gold tempers for thousands of raw mats.
Well I'm usually doing other things while the add on was crafting instead of staring at the screen.
Does that foot in your mouth taste good?

I did too. Cleaning. Watching Netflix, etc...
You're really gonna try and argue that instant is worse than waiting hours?

It's more like a couple minutes. And no, I won't "argue" with you over this because I could care less of what you think and more importantly I didn't say what you are assuming at all.
I'm not the only one who isn't particularly fond of this half-baked feature and losing on materials after refining 2k stacks.

You’re really gonna hold that line and be combative towards who dare to have different opinions than you?
People, including myself, who prefer the addon functionality don’t invalidate you for preferring the new native functions. Good for you, go off and refine stacks and be happy. Please stop acting like anyone is trying to take something away from you by liking the addon better.
Wait...that’s because it doesn’t. You’re using absurdly inflated, imaginary stats rather than making a cogent counterpoint. It doesn’t prove your point, it just makes you look foolish in the eyes of people who know better. I see you.
I can't deconstruct anything and armour shows up at the jewellery station
Did a few refines this week

Seems perfectly normal to me

What add-on are you using to display that info in chat? I just accidentally refined 8k rough ruby ash, and all I got was the ephemeral popup in the middle of the screen saying what I got. Caught me by surprise, and I didn't see what tempers I got and in what quantities.
