Just tried it and it worked. Thanks @ZOS_GinaBruno :)

Also, seems much faster launching now with the new app, but yes I do have the white screen issue. The temp workaround works though.

As some of you have noticed, we were able to roll out the updated ESO patcher for Catalina this afternoon. If you have not yet updated to Catalina, simply launch the ESO patcher and it will update on its own; you can then update to Catalina without impacting your ability to play ESO.

If you have already updated to Catalina, you'll need to delete the existing ESO patcher and reinstall it. Please visit this page for the exact steps to reinstall the latest patcher.

As for the white screen issue called out, we are aware of that and are working on getting it fixed. As someone else called out, you can try deleting the UserSettings as a temporary workaround. We know this isn't ideal, though, and are working to get it fixed as quickly as possible.

For the white screen issue, I run full screen windowed and hit CMD-M twice and it "fixed" it so I could type in login credentials. Seems much safer than deleting settings.

Sorcery... Thanks a ton for that tip. CMD-M worked like a charm.

Ok, I just logged on my computer. Saw the launcher do an update. Checked ABOUT THIS MAC for 32 bit applications. Confirmed that Launcher now lists as 64 bit....

    Time to release the KRAKEN!

Im going to update to Catalina now. Let's see if it works smooth....

Yep. All went smooth. I had o reset the SECURITY>ACCESSIBILITY permissions to new launcher and the game again, but only had to do it once. Game is launching fine, finally! Only lingering issue for me right now is the having to FORCE QUIT the game since it stops responding when I shut it down.

Does anyone know if the Steam Launcher was also updated? When I try to launch from Steam it seems to just fail to launch.

Thanks for this. It all works for me.

Could you please pin that page link somewhere obvious. It is quite hard to find otherwise.

10/10/2019 ESO support says they have a routine to get ESO running. Delete the launcher app , then reinstall the game from the home page. It will install a new launcher app ONLY and then allow the game to run. I upgraded to Catalina and followed their procedure. The new launcher "only" was installed and looked like normal. I ran the game from the launcher and got a white screen (unplayable). Rebooted and got the same thing.

The issue with the white screen is being worked on. In the meantime, @Jeth found this work around which seems to have worked for others as well. Please give it a try and let us know if it works for you. :)

I am on Catalina. I was able to delete the launcher, down the app from my account which just updated the launcher (which btw the game did run while still on Mojave launching from the game app) and it had me agree to all the ESO legal stuff, got to sign in, did that and the game appears to be trying to launch, then after a while it just crashes with a big send error to Apple window. Launcher is still sitting there and you can start the whole process again which results in same crash.

I have the same as the person above if I use the launcher, crashes at character select, if I start straight from the eso folder it does load without crashing, but I am met with the spinning screen, the usual fix to check uncheck the accessibility options does not work as it will not allow me to uncheck ESO- and therefore recheck it as normal, it only lets me do it on the launcher one, I can't get rid of the spinning screen, either way can't play.

Currently accessing the game on the windows partition :(

Go back into your SECURITY>ACCESSIBILITY panel. Below the panel is a "+" and "-" Use the "-" to delete the ESO game client from that permissions screen, then use the "+" to add it back in. When you hit "+" it will open finder window then select the ESO game directly from the ZOs folder in your Applications.

(Also, I assume you ran REPAIR on the launcher?)

"Is being worked on" as in you're also finally updating the eso.app with proper macOS integration and readding window controls?

Thank you so much for this - I was at my wit's end when I was still spinning after reinstalling the launcher! <3

Thank you Mac for making it so much easier to apply / deny accessibility to apps :'(

Update. In my eyes there is a problem with the User Rights and the Game under Catalina. I am using a Normal User for working on the Mac and playing ESO. In the past I had only to switch to the Mac Admin Account for updating ESO. Now I am no longer able to launch the Game under the norm User Account.
You get always a White Screen and the game doesn't launch.
Launching the Game with the Admin User and a fresh ESO Profile under My Documents work.

Update: After beeing able t play the Game for one day, toda I have the same Problem even on the Admin Account again. If I start the game (doesn't matter if I try from the launcher or directly) I got a white screen (not the one another User mentioned) simply a white screen which cannot be prevented with command+ m or deleting the usersettings.txt file and nothing more happens any longer.
I see following in the System Log:

    Last Update. Solved.

It has to do with 3 Lines in the User Settings.txt (but simply to remove the file doesn't work)

I had this values on these params:
    SET PreferMaximizedWindow "1"
    SET PreferExclusiveFullscreen "1"
    SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "2"

After changing all to Zero, Eso launches normal. So, don't try to run it in FullScreen.

The issue with the white screen is being worked on. In the meantime, @Jeth found this work around which seems to have worked for others as well. Please give it a try and let us know if it works for you. :)

For the white screen issue, I run full screen windowed and hit CMD-M twice and it "fixed" it so I could type in login credentials. Seems much safer than deleting settings.

Just resizing the window (if in windowed mode) also fixes it. Done once, the game works as normal.

While our ESO app doesn't work on Catalina, we're missing out on all of the ingame rewards. We should be reimbursed with all the lost game time!

Sorry, I was searching for a fix for my problem, and missed this comment. I'm having the same problem. But I cannot do a partition.

In my case, the solution that worked was as follows :
(other workaround did not solved the issue: double cmd-M, removal of Usersetting file, ...)

    Last Update. Solved.

It has to do with 3 Lines in the User Settings.txt (but simply to remove the file doesn't work)

I had this values on these params:
    SET PreferMaximizedWindow "1"
    SET PreferExclusiveFullscreen "1"
    SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "2"

After changing all to Zero, Eso launches normal. So, don't try to run it in FullScreen.

Funny how other game developers go on the offensive when users tamper with code.

Every person at Zenimax should be required to play exclusively on the Mac client until this *** is fixed. Until further notice, I will never play another game created by this group of incompetents.

You ESO clowns just keep searching for a new rock bottom. You are so lucky that rocks don't sink below the earth's crust. Just update your game and stop publishing you support the most stable OS and hardware platform out there. You have 1% commitment to it which equates to 99% commit to failure.

So tired of being your red-headed-step-***.
