How does this one pronounce "Anequina"?

Since we'll be visiting the region id like to know its proper pronunciation finally.

They did say it a few times in the reveal vids for Elsweyr.

"An-eh-quin-ah", with the stress on the second syllable "eh", IIRC.

But, this is not how I have been pronouncing it for the last ten years and more. And, we all know how bad Americans are at pronouncing foreign place names

So, sitting in my own little world here, I'm going to stick with...

"An-eh-kee-nuh" with the emphasis on the "kee"

I believe it’s An-eh-kwih-nuh officially.

That’s how the kitty lady said it in the intro quest to Elsweyr on the pts.

My brain always says An-eh-kee-nuh tho.

Youre one of those Quay as 'key' people huh.

But... it IS pronounced key. Americans changed the spelling, hence "Key West" etc.

I pronounce it as 'ah neh kee nah', no idea if it's correct or not, I just like the way it sounds.

If you consider that Anequina is an Imperialisation of the original Ta'agra name, Ne'Quin-al, the pronunciation is easier to identify:

ah - NE - quin - ah

Seriously its like Mount Tahoma here in Washington, but then some white dude comes and calls it Rainier.

If "an-eh-quin-ah" is the official pronunciation, then that's how it is.

Though I'm partial to "ahn-uh-KEE-nuh" myself.

It turns out from those new lorebooks in the PTS (and now in-game) that it could actually have been renamed after a certain queen and moon priest of the Ne'Quin-al pride, called Anequina Sharp-Tongue! I wonder what she did to have been worthy of such an honor, or if it was her involvement in the story of those books.
