New Life festival this year?

I've not seen anything anywhere about this. Are we having it this year? Was fun last year. TY

There seems to be something planned. At least the December Crown Store page has this text in the description for a hat that's gonna be available:

"The Winter Broadbrim Hat Pack will be available for a limited time on all platforms during the New Life Festival, from December 14 through January 2. "

I'm assuming they're talking about an actual festival event here and not just the in-game lore thing.

ESO Live confirmed the December 14th through January 2nd dates.

(And dodged all questions about what was dropping from the boxes beyond that they added Housing furnishings. )

They mentioned that they're making the double-XP mead a Memento too. No more huge crowds in Eastmarch!

Aww. I liked the gatherings at the celebration pavilion! I even have some screenshots of a spontaneous "bathing towel table dancing session" that took place there after the event ended. Well I suppose we'll still go there to grab the daily celebration quests.

I'd imagine the quest giver will still be in Eastmarch though - so the gathering merryment makers will still be in attendance.

I'd definitely like to see a few different things in the coffers though. Would be terribly dull to have the same things mostly - because it's a lengthy festival for us to have a bunch of repetition.

^ agreed. Should be new things each time.

Also double AP over holidays, to keep PvP population else they all go off into PvE for the xp

Did some datamining, and I couldn't find anything new. No new recipes, no new furnishing plans, no new runeboxes. The only furnishing items related to the festival are the bonfire and the banner, both of which are acquired from the achievement vendor (and have been available for sale for some time now).
