PLEASE - a real banker and a real merchant for housing

Currently, with crowns, we can buy a banker, a merchant and a fence. These follow you around and you can call them up in dungeons. You can place them in all your houses. But you can't call them up in someone else's house. And they offer limited services. My opinion is that at 5,000 crowns they are very bad value. If ZOS had a good sale price on them, less 50% or more, I might consider it.

I would really like a real merchant, that repairs armour. A real banker that gives you access to the guild banks and your guild stores. Even a real fence that will buy up everyone's stolen stuff, though I'm not sure I'd get that one. If I buy them through the Crown Furnishings menu, that's fine. I want them for a particular house that I have designated as a guild hall, where guild members can't even use their own bankers and merchants. (I have no idea why, it's not Cyrodiil and they are not under attack or in danger.) I don't need them to follow me around.

In cyrodill there is something that we call " Imperial city " , and this would be P2W cause nobody should be able to farm in security just because they bought the banker , while the one who didn't bought the banker have to buy these things which cost 10K ap or go through the sewers .

The bankers and merchants who will stand around looking bored and unfazed during the most challenging of PVE boss fights are deathly afraid of PVP and won't spawn in Cyrodiil, which at the moment includes the Imperial City.

So? That's Imperial City, not housing. I'm talking about visitors not being able to use bankers and merchants in a house. I'm complaining about HOUSING.

I'm actually fine with how they work now. I can empty my bags and continue along my merry way. I think they serve their purpose well. They keep us from having to port out of a half finished dungeon or delve just because we are out of bag space. I don't feel they need to provide any other service. We need a reason to occasionally go to town.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Would be lovely, we need a way to mark a house a guild hall tho.

    Agreed.

My husband has written an add-on which puts a guild hall button on the guild page, and it will take you to the guild leader's primary residence. It is still in beta, our guild is trying out, and he wants to make it configurable for when the guild hall is not the guild leader's residence. (We're in a trading guild like that.)

If you want to sneak off and try it, you can get it on our guild website, richmahoganyhall.com. But once it is properly ready it will go onto Minion and I will probably announce it on the forum.

Even the limited banker and merchant are very convenient. The current fence, however, is pretty useless.

I agree that a full banker would be much better yet, and I don't see how it would be harmful to game balance in any way.

I frankly also don't see how a repair-capable merchant assistant would hurt anything.

I always wished we could put merchants in houses or guild halls and invite vendors. There's always a little UO nostalgia for me and people passing out rune stones or ports to their vendors in their home. Or even going traveling door to door to see if I could find something a I want. Would make for a good reason for people to show off their decorations.

#1 - If you already own banker/merchant you can use them inside other people's homes, even if you are not grouped. Agee that they should work for ALL visitors to your home.

#2 - Fence needs a Launder function. As is, I barely use my fence, except on the 1 character that already has Black Market Mogul, but still have to run to a real fence to launder.
2a. Merchant really should repair armor, if not in the field, then at least when installed in a home.

#3 - I'm ok with services not spawning in IC, as it is PvP.

#4 - Really wish that only your individual banker/merchant was visible to you, or ones from your group. I am tired of half the toons at a dolemn just standing around because they are bankers and merchants!
