How to be atop the Leaderboards in Bg's

Simple

Play 24/7 hopefully you dont have a life or real things to do. Becuase you will be left behind even if your killing it all the time.

That 6-8 hour sleep time and 8 hours of work time will destroy your chances of getting top ranked.

Hopefully Zos will address this issue in the future as the no lifers get top spots. RIP real people with jobs and a life.

Not saying casuals should play for 4-5 hours and get rewards. Im saying make a ranking system for bgs if you get a win it stacks in points per win. And being able to pick the match should be a thing.

If you play all the time but you're bad, it'll be hard to get to the top of the deathmatch or CTF leaderboards, because its based on your in-game score. Hard to get score in deathmatch if you aren't killing people.
But yeah... the domination mode is all about playing as much as possible lol.

Working, sleeping and eating are all primary reasons why I never got Emp in the past 3 yearsand will never be on the bg leaderboards.

Yeah, needless to say quite disappointed in the leaderboards aspect of BGs ... it's a bad joke, really. Now how about we get some ratings implemented and these BGs might be worth playing?

I am by no means a great player, but I have managed to stay in deathmatch top 10 for 4 days so far this week with 4-5 hours a day... maybe it's because of less players due to the holiday or campaign reset or RNG. I do wish there were some more robust statistics available like average score per match, number of matches played, best score in a match, etc.

I have been in the top 10 in two type of Bg's ( domination , capture the flag ) . this was during the Early acess , the first week .

after receiving my reward I've decided to never do this again ...
    • so much less ap during this week than a week in cyrodiil .
    • a Resto staff of the wizard riposte in the first letter .
    • a Necklace of the Vanguard’s Challenge
    • 0 golds in the letters
    • 0 ap in the letters

This clearly don't deserve to lost one week .

I expect this to be my only time on the upper leaderboards. I miss other parts of the game too much, but I am playing for the achievements... although, I'm afraid the healing achievements are too far out of reach for me.

Because I like small scale PvP, I've pretty much played only BGs since they were released. I play a lot, but nowhere on the level of a no-lifer. (Like 10-20hrs/week)

On Xbox NA, I've been top 100 on all 3 boards for three or four weeks in a row now. It's not at the top of the boards, but its enough to get my 3 gold items, and it doesn't require an absurd amount of playtime.

Im requesting some syntax clarification here.. Is a no lifer someone who plays 10-20 hours a week, or is 10-20 hours a week how much you play?

I play 10 to 20. My idea of a no lifer is someone who is basically playing this game all day with barely any time committed to friends, family or work. They'd be hitting 40+ hours per week I imagine.

I can't get any credit for kills because of the stupid Sorc passsive stealing them all.
Was just in a game where i had 500k damage and a Sorc on my team had about 400k.
WE played a s a team unit, focus firing almost all the same targets and he got credit for 20 kills and i think i managed 2, lol.

They need a ranking system that when you loose or die or whatever you get points taken from your ranking etc kinda like how fps scoring system is based.

Start with 1500 points win a match 50 points loose a match -75
That would balance the system higher ranked players will face others of the same rank and rank changes every 1000 points stopping at like 5k or something of the sort

Actually after getting Morrowind in my hands which was week or two after release I played 4 days for like 4-5 hours in BG's and I ended up beeing in top 30 in every BG category I think even 12 in deathmatch which easily granted me 3 rewards 1 for each BG type. If You get good personal scores in matches You can easily be high in leaderboards.

I agree it's not very hard to get on these leaderboards I maybe spend 5 to 8 hours a week and can get on all three sometimes just 2 it really depends on the match rotation.

A system like that would be hard to do with 4v4v4 since you'll most likely be losing more than you're winning.

Yeah, its too big amount of the kills going to sorcerers because of this.
On my stamwarden I had 1 bg with: 0 kills, 3 death and 24 assistance because of this.
My real kills if not stolen should be ~15 of them that domination bg. + healing, cc and bg mechanics.
    but..
I don't know how it should be to make rewards more relevant, but here some disbalance for classes without execute skill or passives

    @diplomatt

    Damn 24 assis ?

I feel its not the passive but just mages wrath

Call down lighting to strike an enemy for [x] Shock Damage.
If target enemy’s Health falls below 20% within 4 seconds, an explosion deals an additional [y] Shock Damage to the target and [z] Shock Damage to other enemies nearby.
Increases the damage dealth to other enemies nearby.

So when every1 is balled up 1 burst of DB and 3 sorcs spam wrath its all bad.

    The passive

Whenever you deal Shock Damage you have a 6% chance to instantly disintegrate enemies under 15% Health, dealing [y] Shock Damage.
Whenever you deal Physical Damage you have a 6% chance to instantly pulverize enemies under 15% Health, dealing [y] Physical Damage.

So for 20k hp if you get at 3000k a 6% chance to implode

At 25k 3750 hp 6% chance to implode, but when 3 sorcs are spamming its 18%.

And a 5% gap difference is easily achieved to proc implode from wrath.

What where saying is the balace of getting kills is off... Not complaining about proc sets again that will be fixed by freggin having monsters and things pop out of the ground run around spit things in the air. But i guessing people will complain about that also for some reason.
