I can't joint the NA server but tried what someone said and the European server I can connect to. So is this really an Xbox Live problem or a ZOS issue?
I can probably assume the staff at ZOS are freaking out like a poked beehive right now and are rushing for damage control.
At least i was able to make my Warden and get her to lvl4. But i tried buying 5500 crowns just before the disconnect and the store wouldnt update my ingame crown balance.
I had the same problem with the crowns, Bought 5500 2 mins before The "Xbox Service Alert" went up, and was charged but never received it..
Had to contact Microsoft Through Here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/
And Explain The Problem, And got a Full refund because of it.

That is why I asked my previous question. Does anyone have intimate knowledge of how XBOX live works with ESO? Seems reasonable to me that the NA and EU server would be on a different load balance system or cluster. If that assumption is true, then it is possible that EU would be fine based on it would have its own connection to XBOX live.
Ok, other people are getting past the splash screen and up to the 'log in' part but getting refused login, which is the "Xbox Live" stuff messing up. I cannot get past the first splash screen! And I don't want to delete the game and reinstall, because it is a 78 GB friggin game (and I am doing REALLY well to not curse there!) Surely, there is a solution that devs can offer for this besides delete/reinstall??

Clear your cache. Do a hard reboot (think that's what it's called?). Should not need to delete and reinstall.
Or you could just covfefe your Xbox.

I call BS on not being able to log into the Xbox NA server because Xbox Live was experiencing a service interruption. The problem is that ZOS did not plan for the influx of players and the server is overloaded.
