Best way to balance shield stacking Magicka Sorcerers?

May as well just get rid of wards and make me play in the rags that I wear.
Sustaining constant ward uptime is pretty resource intensive and if you fail to do so you get dicked on.

Goblin irylia awaits the day that master Harry (zos) presents gobby with a steel sock.

Better visuals queues for opponent to time burst (example: shield is very noticeable when first applied and fades down as damage/time limit decreases)

If you can crit a shield its only fair that you should be able to crit cast a shield

Do you see magicka characters having to use a specific set to counter medium armor stamina builds?

Having to use shieldbreaker is unbalanced. This set only helps you against light armor magicka builds. Will only make you weaker against other stamina builds and heavy armor magicka builds.

Saying "use shieldbreaker" just proves how unbalanced magicka sorcs are. You're saying that the only way to beat them is to set up your build to only fight mag sorcs, while the meta mag sorc build is equally effective vs all armor types wether it be stamina or magicka.

Why not fix the problem now before we have nothing but tanks and mag sorcs in morrowind pvp/pve. If ZOS waits until 90% of players are using mag sorcs they will nerf it into the weakest class. They just need to balance it now and be done with it.

Hardened ward alone is not a problem at all, imo its perfectly balanced. Stack that with harness and healing ward, yea its performing abit too well on live for my liking, I have no idea or input on how to adress it if zos ever would, but in morrowind it may very well sort itself out because spamming/stacking shields might kill your sustain in 30 seconds.

At the moment on live its the pirate skeleton set that is the problem tho..we'll just have to see how the "nerf" to that for next patch pans out as far as im concerned.
