How should Stam NB be played?

Coldcell
Coldcell
I'm still fairly new to the game. My first char is a 40 Mag Sorc. I got a bit bored playing him, so I'm trying out Stam NB. Currently at level 20 and still figuring things out.

I question how a Stam NB should be played though. I'm using DW and Bow builds, but most of the time I spent my time in Bow and just using ranged attack due to lack of self heals or survivability. Like when the enemy group is fighting with my group, I can't exactly survive for long if I try to melee using DW. So I end up at ranged using Bow and avoiding AoE. I got to thinking if I'm going to play the char this way, then why not go back to Mag Sorc. I feel my Mag Sorc is a bit more suited since it has wards and powerful ranged skills.

I do like Stam NB and would like to give it more time. Just looking for a bit of guidance how to play it effectively. Since I'm new, I don't have a pvp guild to go around in small groups so right now I'm sticking with the zergs. Should I even use Sneak? I only use it when the zerg is sneaking, but almost never use it when in-battle. How do I survive the massive aoe here and there, other than hoping to get healed and drinking potions on CD?

Any tips are appreciated! I'm on NA PC EP if that matters.

In my opinion for PVP anyways 2H Bow is best by far the mobility and damage you get from it is too much to pass up. (From the perspective of a guy who played 2H bow stamblade for a year)

Flurry->blood thirst. Huge increase in survivability. Really all you need in open world stuff. And since you PvP gear vigor asap. But as has been said, you need to get a two-handed weapon and level it to get rally if you want solo survivability.

When you are that low of level, you really just play however you want, though I do recommend keeping a skill from each of your class trees on each your bars, so when you reach champ ranks, you don't have to grind them.

Im running 2 handed and dual weild spriggans set, what it lacks in range it makes up for in attack power. Deltias gaming has a video on it called the spectre, if your low level i recommend azuras tho as of tomorrow.

Must be nice to play on PC, and not destroy your stamina every time you want to dodge roll.

Sitting on travel routes waiting in stealth for someone with a slow mount to go by. At least that's all I see them used for.
i do not read replies. still playing stamdk for some reason.

IMO, stamblades are best suited to go in and out of fights, bursting the high priority targets like healers and utility builds. That said, I do recommend cloak, and I would also recommend 2H/Bow.

Might sound lame, but if you play in that mindset of an assassin or scout type, you can really fall in love with the class.

It depends NB has many forms of play. I played NB for a long time and played many set ups that all required me to play different playstyles. If you want to survive in cyrodiil though like non Gank build you have to make smart decisions because you're the squishiest class in the game. This means you have to hug the terrain around you and remember your strength is your ability to stealth and your single target damage.

Let me give u an idea of you have to move. Say that you're near a rock and have 5 targets around you at this point run clockwise around said rock , line of sight your opponents, go into stealth mode and run counter wise. Reason being is because your attackers are following you and you can catch whoever is in the back of the group with a heavy attack incap combo and drop them pretty easily.

You repeat motions similar to what's above and play things smart. And remember your two strengths. You are a rogue. Rogues in mmos are known for playing with their opponents and outsmarting them. Think fast bro.

My Stamblade is a brawler (not to be confused with the 2H skill).
She's a closeup melee character using dual wield weapons and never ever uses stealth.

Probably the least favorite setup for a Stamblade but sooooo much fun to play ...

Name your magica sorc, magica DK, or stamplar Lord Nightblade or something then go out there and curb stomp everything. You can even drop into crouch every now and then to satisfy your urge to stealth. This way when you play your "Nightblade" you don't have the urge to throw your controller through the TV lol. All joking aside the class is kind of in a low spot right now.
