Should exploiting Infernal Guardian as a stealth finder knowing it's broken be a perma-ban offense?

Yes option is a bit harsh. But yes. I know it will never be done, but yes. Let me dream. PPl stack shields, put others out of stealth, use miat's addon to know there are stealthed ppl nearby. Then its matter of seconds. Curse, few destro pew pews, shards and wrath. Boom, you die. Damn you miat.

Yes. If I see something that looks buggy or OP, I'll report it on pts. If ZOS than decides to ignore my feedback and move it to live, I assume it's intended and might use it and I won't judge other players who use it aswell.

Then I want everyone who's using Viper banned too. And everyone who's abusing Selene so it can proc 2 times instead of one. Both sets are broken and can double proc, even triple-proc in certain situations.

They are fixing this the next patch, if I understood Patch Notes correctly.

Nope, no bans needed for people 'abusing' this set, they are just using a poorly designed tool to their advantage. What is needed is a fix to both the LoS issues (coming in U13) and also the fact that it ignores stealth.

I think stealth shouldn't exist in PvP. I hope ZOS never fixes it, and I hope they make more ways to counter stealth. I think you should be perma-banned for being a stealth mechanic abuser like all trash proctato stamblades ruining pvp.

from what i have read they are Not going to fix it, they are only going to remove it's critical hit chance.
if i am wrong then i would like to know, because i agree with you that it needs not only fixed but the sets you mentioned completely removed from eso.

I was happy to finally get my 1st monster set on my magSorc and had no idea this was a problem.

And I wasn't aware that i killed anyone with this ability. I'm sure I have not.

If ZOS has to lay a hand on a keyboard regarding this it should be to FIX it instead of wasting anyone's time banning someone for a set they put into the game.

So let me get this straight. You want the players to suffer for a mechanic you don't like that's installed in the game. Should the hoards of Malubeth players in the past have been banned as well?

Infernal Guardian: Fixed an issue where this item set’s proc would remove stealthed enemies from Sneak or invisibility. We also fixed an issue where this item set’s proc was ignoring line of sight.

Just for the sake of the argument:

How would you determine who only uses this set as a stealth detection too @pogopwns_ESO - it´s widely advocated even by NBs for sorcs to keep up their shields at all times to reduce the risk of getting ganked.
Ofc in an actual fight you keep your shields up aswell which results in the procc activating permanently.

Obviously this question is coming from a frustrated NB.

I'm all in for a fix for IG when it comes to stealthed enemies. But you cannot punish people for something they cannot prevent from happening.

What if you are a solo nightblade and not a gank build and was in a fight that turned bad because more enemy showed up, and you are just trying to run away. But infernal guardian keeps on pulling you out of stealth

Acting like not recasting shields permanently in any combat situation would be an option on a magica sorc or NB does not help your point.

You know what happens when you zerg someone down and you forget to reapply shields? That someone turns around and twoshots the sorc. I know because i do this very thing all the time.
The best target i can possibly hope for when i get chased by bunch of angry tryhards feeling entitled on murdering me 10v1 is a bloodthirsty inexperienced magica sorc.
I know that even though i will die that this is the best chance at taking someone with me.

That´s why every half decent magica player keeps spamming shields nowadays even though they´re zerging you. They´re afraid (sometimes it might be combined with the purpose of decloaking someone) - but mainly they´re afraid and rightfully so.

Infernal or not (not currently using it - but have done) - a light-armoured sorc without impen WILL and SHOULD keep shields up at all times when enemies are around and they are personally not under attack. Yes, people KNOW infernal is bugged - but you know what? it's one of a VERY FEW decent magicka PVP monster proc sets out there. People will use it - and when its proccing, perhaps, just perhaps they are casting shield - maybe because they wanted to be shielded?

Now Streak? Are you really complaining about streak?? What to catch people who are running? Heaven forbid people use the tools ZoS gave them to do what they were intended to do.. Damn, you'll be complaining next the people are using wrath as an execute!

Why give a temp ban?
It is ZOS their mistake nothing to do with us players.
You can't temp ban someone for using a set you can easily obtain in the game itself imo, if they did that they would be a pretty **** company.

No players should not be banned for using this set, Zos just needs to fix this buggy crap. Pretty much everyone knows how this set works in its current state and most will spam shields to abuse it.

Whats funny is once Zos fixes it you will see a lot less people using it because it is really only beneficial in its bugged out state.

It is annoying that it targets players in stealth but to me it is even more annoying that someone on the ground can spam shields and wreck my oil pots above them with the morters.
