VMA Snares Nullify Expedition Potions

I spent a bunch of expensive reagents on speed/immovable pots to counter the constant snares in most of VMA, and my magicka DK's inability to deal with them (mist form is still bugged). In the arena I found my toon was crawling around at the same speed he was before having major expedition, so slowly that I couldn't get out of most of the AOEs, which would either kill me or snare me even more. The potions weren't doing anything while snares were up, but whenever they expired my character was shooting around the place like you'd expect.

IDK if this is intended, but either way it is frustrating to the point that magicka DK just doesn't feel worth playing.

Immovable potions only make you immune to hard CC, you need Shuffle/Forward Momentum/Retreating Manuever to become snare immune.

I'm talking about expedition being negated, not immovable. The snares leave you moving as slowly as you would without expedition.

I've had issues with Drome of Toxic Shock where it's a constant slow regardless where you stand and stam regen drops to unbuffed levels (ignoring drink regen), making it almost impossible to move or roll. Just not worth the irritation at this point.

I found the same actually. As a magsorc I got used to using the speed sigil in the last stage for the titan round to avoid his fire aoe, and also for the final boss to catch the gold ghosts, but I've been wanting to improve my score and therefore reliance on any sigils (I usually take 4 in total, all in the last stage). So I decided to craft some speed pots to allow me to leave the speed sigil. But nope lol, it's just as you say; any snare completely nullifies the speed pots, whereas the speed sigil seems invincible. I can run through all the blue ghosts with a speed sigil so why not with speed pot? Seems strange, but it's just one of the many inconsistencies with vma.

The slow in that round comes from the strangler spit. Any time you find yourself snared in that stage just look around for one of those plants at the edge of the arena, eliminate it. And the snare should lift.

Also the snare in the final boss round of the spider stage comes from the spit of the little spider, not the one that weaves up the totems but the spider that looks like a mini version of the boss. I was so relieved when I found that out lol.

Never had a problem with snares in VO gear, just gonna stick to stam.

Follow the mechanics. You can't bypass the strangler and spider snares--just as you can't purge the poison plant explosions (you could on the PTS but then they removed purgeability)--because the intent is to force you to respect the stage mechanics.

If only Retreating Maneuver actually worked. It will remove snares, currently the snare immunity is broken.
