i just hate animation cancelling more then anything else in the game for game brokenness. nothing in game should be cast without the animation to tell people what you are doing. without that there can never be a balance to the game.

Total Dark has a GIANT BLACK BUBBLE that forms around your character. You literally can't miss it.
They already broke animations terribly in their most recent attempt to make animations show when cancelling is going on. I love constantly getting stuck in heavy attacks when all I did was a light weave.

Clever templars don't use Eclipse. Grasp was probably reflected by snb, and snb "spark" is much more difficult to see

Doesn't the one-handed and shield skill "Defensive Stance" reflect crippling grasp? Maybe he used that. Or is it not considered a projectile?

It shouldn't matter. If the dead person in the image is indeed a templar as the buffs displayed on the screen suggest, then he shouldn't get a crippling grasp reflected back on him no matter how it was reflected. Unless something has changed with the reflect system?
Tons of stupid things are considered projectiles, like toppling charge, But again, unless I am missing something or I'm not understanding the reflect mechanic, a templar should never have a crippling grasp reflected back.

@SwaminoNowlino You get that buff when you are dead and someone uses Repentance on you. It stays on you until you rez so others can't use Repentance on you a second time.
Nothing to see here (except the usual confusing/crappy death recap labelling)

I was looking at the buffs on the far right side of the screen, the third icon down. Its small and my eyesight is bad but I thought that looked like a templar buff. Could definitely be wrong though. Which consoles had a buff timer so we could see that stuff.
@Vorcil were you playing as a nightblade?

Not sure what that one is. But for that particular buff tracker, I know the "P" means it is a permanent buff. With all the perma-buffs that sets give these days it could be anything.
Of course if the OP just came in and confirmed he was playing NB, he could put this thread to rest. But that would mean he would have to apologize to the guy in his screenshot for implying he was cheating in some way.
