Make nightblades cloak purge damage again please ZOS

    Purge was never intended to be part of a cloak. It was temporary fix for cloak being broken by dots + it was just one morph of the cloak that was removing dots. As you can see now we have other way to make it work on both morphs.
    And no stamblade doesnt need any buffs. Its the most bursty class... well maybe magsorc can be as bursty but is much harder to play - have both and can compare it: avoiding damage with cloak and roll is faar bettee than shields.

    I just can't with you a Stam NB talking about mdk. Ur class is the reason we have to wear heavy amour, ur class told us to l2p so we did to save our butts from Instant death from ur burst. Just stop just bc we are not fast kills anymore ur complaining!?

Combine it with. Look for a clean getaway. Or fear and then cloak. Or immovable pots and cloak. Or use immovable pots timed with your burst. Cloak dots, when you can anyway. Mag dk are most effective with other players, they typically don't run alone. When they are alone just wear them down and time your burst.

    Do you think I just started playing this classes? I have played a nightblade since launch on consoles (don't judge me) and I have all my cp with the rally, vigor, and all those good buffs. No matter what you say you will never convince me that nightblades are the easiest class to stay alive in medium armor. We have no resistance. I have tried that passive that gives you physical and spell resistance after activating a shadow ability, does not help at all as a nightblade. I even tried heavy armor in this update and I still kept getting rekt because what if I told you that there is a thing called armor and spell penetration that cuts right through armor? Heals are crap, nightblades have the best CC and stuns in the game but so does a magicka dk with their dark talons. You don't get to move at all and this ability does a lot of damage over time. Dodge roll out of it was and they recast it again, and then again, and then again...

    Careful who you call idiots. Your are obviously not thinking of the history of balances that led to that change. If u revert cloak purging dots then u have to revert dodging whips at a minimum so that that one button does not hard counter magic dks and give some huge advantage. Maybe even the detection pots nerf as well.

    As a Stam blade u have enough magic to cloak away and purge out of line of sight. Sorry you won't be able to kill everything.

    This is much easier for a stamblade than it is for a magic user running out of stamina and dying instantly.

    If that's the case they need to remove Templar purge as well.As you said we don't want one class hard countering magic do the best dueling class in game.DK have more Dots than just whip plus with the dodge roll Nerf it would be fine Stamblade will only dodge them with shuffle,which most wear heavy so it will only be up a second.

    To your second point yes that might work if 1 cloak wasn't broken by just every attack when only AOE and specific abilities should, So as a stam NB I would have to purge before I cloak which cost a crap ton of magic when majority of stam blades even with tri-food only have 14-16k max even that.So if you actually knew what you were talking about the player would first have to Purge and hope the DK only have 2 dots on him,Trust me they will have more than 2.Next that NB will fear the Dk depending on how much stam the Dk have will break free rather quickly,Before that during the fear you try to dark cloak but wait those 2-3 other dots are still on you dam cloak breaks let me hurry and cloak again before he CC breaks,nope I have to purge those dots ,The Dk no longer CCed now he talon and whipping me let me fear him,ohhh crap I can't am out of magic.While still having Dots on me.That's how it will go.

    I do not recall saying they are easiest class in medium armor.

    You say we have no resistance but we have a passive that gives us major resistance while every other class has to slot an ability to get that buff. Im sorry but saying that this passive does not help is just crazy. For one thing, it is a passive that directly counters the debuff from sharpened swords which are everywhere. That passive armor resist equals out to about 7% damage reduction. Add that to cloak which gives 8% reduction and one ability use just gave you about 15% reduction. Now you couple that with the minor maim debuff from shadow image or fear and you have just reduced your incoming damage by about 30%. Not to mention, wearing heavy armor increases the duration of the passive so you can get even more time from it in heavy. Even wearing 2pc heavy is nice.

    Your right, there is a thing called weapon and spell pen. This is why many people run heavy armor. to offset all of the penetration. if you are still getting rekt consistently even in heavy then you need to work on how you play. If you are still getting reky in heavy armor plus the 30% damage reduction buff you get as a nb then you need to rethink how you play.

    Bottom line is medium armor is squishy this patch. But, nb have some of the best ways to reduce the raw incoming damage through passives and skills.

    Heals are fine with vigor and rally. combined with dodge chance. Especially if you say vigor and then cloak. or use dodge chance, dodge roll, vigor, rally combo. or los heal combo. Add more health to your player if you still have trouble surviving. Lets not forget the extra healing recieved you get from slotting siphon skills.

    If a mag dk is spamming talons then fall back and wait for your opening. They dont have gap closer, so you can just kite them until your ready to attack. Also, the dot on that ability is trash. It really is not that good, so it makes me wonder if you are a vamp or have low cp or something. As a stam blade you should onot have a problem dodgerolling and getting out of talons range. CC them and then dodgeroll. or perhaps use shadow image, that way you can engage and disengage the mag dk when you want. You will be able to control the fight with that.You can also run immovable potions. or the heavy armor skill that grants immovable if you are really having that much trouble. It sounds to me like you simply have a problem fighting mag dk. find a friend and practice.

    if dots tick when you cloak, then report it. Simple as that. they should not do that. They should not give the ability to purge dots back to nb. How it is now is fine. They just need to fix the dots that are breaking cloak. They can only do that when you report it.

    The purge on nb was over the top. it just was. The new dot suppression is much more balanced imo. They just need to fix it. You dont balance a game by saying something is broken so change how it fundamentally works. You fix the darn thing.

    As to running purge. As a mag blade sure. As a stam ganker sure i can get with that. But for open world fighting, it is just not a reasonable choice. Sure you can run efficient purge and it wont be too bad on mag drain, but nb already have a ton of abilities that drain mag. Personally, I run double take, grim focus, cloak, fear. I use cloak a ton for the8% reduction which i think is very underated and dont know why more people dont run it in pvp. My suggestion to stam blades is to make sure you also have mag recovery and reduced mag cost. Personally, I run 8% mag reduction in cp and get anywhere from 1000 mag recovery to 120 depending on build. I still have plenty left over for everything else i need in the tree. The resources in mag help a ton in pvp.

    Not the same. That's all it does for a templar is purge. Not make them disappear and gain damage modifiers and purge.

I can't kill them with their 30k physical resistance (probably exaggerating but they are still very tanky). Their damage is really high with all those dots they apply to me.     Not the same. That's all it does for a templar is purge. Not make them disappear and gain damage modifiers and purge.

    Templars get major mending from their purge as well as a snare so not only does it get rid of harmful effects it super charges their already super charged healing and reduces your movement speed. The purge on cloak was fine It gave nightblade a way to deal with a dk which other wise counters a nightblade. A mag dk should have no problems dealing with cloak with all the aoe's it has.

    if dots tick when you cloak, then report it. Simple as that. they should not do that. They should not give the ability to purge dots back to nb. How it is now is fine. They just need to fix the dots that are breaking cloak. They can only do that when you report it.

    The purge on nb was over the top. it just was. The new dot suppression is much more balanced imo. They just need to fix it. You dont balance a game by saying something is broken so change how it fundamentally works. You fix the darn thing.

    As to running purge. As a mag blade sure. As a stam ganker sure i can get with that. But for open world fighting, it is just not a reasonable choice. Sure you can run efficient purge and it wont be too bad on mag drain, but nb already have a ton of abilities that drain mag. Personally, I run double take, grim focus, cloak, fear. I use cloak a ton for the8% reduction which i think is very underated and dont know why more people dont run it in pvp. My suggestion to stam blades is to make sure you also have mag recovery and reduced mag cost. Personally, I run 8% mag reduction in cp and get anywhere from 1000 mag recovery to 120 depending on build. I still have plenty left over for everything else i need in the tree. The resources in mag help a ton in pvp.

    I agree with your statement. A lot of requests for the old cloak are not just for the purge effect but for the ability to work properly and reliably.

    Not true at all depending on the morph it can purge 2 dots,snare you and do damage at the same time.Not counting that it also give them major mending something NB don't have access to.While the other morph removed 5 dots which also removed poison's,snare you and again gives major mending.So yes the Templar gives them better version than the NB if you ask me.

    Go check the bug section I bump that thread everhday,still no response, Projectile's are breaking cloak it's ridiculous.I agree they should fix the issue with cloak they won't so adding the purge is much easier for them to do.It shown when cloak had the purge it worked they removed it and its like at launch no longer works.Plus its the reason NB do not have a in class shield or major mending because we have cloak they need to decide either give us a shield or major mending or fix cloak the ball in ZOS court.

    I completely agree with you for open world PVP I just can't afford it their so many magic dumps on a stam blade that we need it sucks.

    Mdks complain yet they have so many more options to reveal nbs. MageLight reveal. Grotharr and Talons. Heavy armour also kicks a** now complared to 1.6 when nbs had purge.

    I also dont like the argument that rally vigor is enough when temps also have purge, dks have mending shields and sorcs have surge + hurricane to basically disable cloak.

    Nb cloak would be nice if it suppressed dots for 4 seconds regardless if it broke or not on use. At least that would help.

    Ya Temps have purge. They are a healing class. Dk has major mending and is meant to sit in damage so makes sense. Sorcs have some various ways to heal and sustain. Nb has ability to reset fight, mobility, highest burst, and reduces raw damage of other players. Yes there are various ways to break cloak. Many are bugged and need fixed to make it more reliable which in turn allows the dot suppression to work more effectively. The key with cloak even if it worked properlly is using it strategically. A competent player will always be ready to reveal you. Cc and cloak. Shadow image and cloak. Dodge roll, sprint and cloak. Los and cloak. Immovable pots and cloak. Etc. You counter play the counter play. Additionally, rather than just trying to stay cloaked for the duration of the dot, you time your cloaks with the ticks of a dot.

    Im not a first time nb. I main and only play nb. I run 1500 magicka regen on my stamblade. Exactly what you described is true but cloak is not as reliable as you think.

    It just would be nice if cloak worked like you said it did but its getting broken by many dots, range abilitys, gap closers and even melee light/heavy attacks. Not to mention there are sets like Grotharr or new abilitys like Hurricane to keep you out of cloak very easily.

    Against competent players, cloaking can be difficult. You use a ton of resources just to create distance (since sprint regen is not existant anymore).

    No cloak purge is not a deal breaker for me but it would be nice if Nbs had a little bit more defence that allows you to not run and hide every 5 seconds (for medium builds). Either a duration dot suppression even if cloak breaks or a return of magicka if cloak is broken early based on duration active (kind of like how dark deal costs nothing when interupted).

    Its a touchy subject i know but i think its good that nightblades are showing there concern.

    if you can see mostly proctatos are not nb, but regarding to this "stealth" everyone cna use invisibility potions with this 45 sec cooldown

    If that's the case they need to remove Templar purge as well.As you said we don't want one class hard countering magic do the best dueling class in game.DK have more Dots than just whip plus with the dodge roll Nerf it would be fine Stamblade will only dodge them with shuffle,which most wear heavy so it will only be up a second.

    To your second point yes that might work if 1 cloak wasn't broken by just every attack when only AOE and specific abilities should, So as a stam NB I would have to purge before I cloak which cost a crap ton of magic when majority of stam blades even with tri-food only have 14-16k max even that.So if you actually knew what you were talking about the player would first have to Purge and hope the DK only have 2 dots on him,Trust me they will have more than 2.Next that NB will fear the Dk depending on how much stam the Dk have will break free rather quickly,Before that during the fear you try to dark cloak but wait those 2-3 other dots are still on you dam cloak breaks let me hurry and cloak again before he CC breaks,nope I have to purge those dots ,The Dk no longer CCed now he talon and whipping me let me fear him,ohhh crap I can't am out of magic.While still having Dots on me.That's how it will go.

    if dots tick when you cloak, then report it. Simple as that. they should not do that. They should not give the ability to purge dots back to nb. How it is now is fine. They just need to fix the dots that are breaking cloak. They can only do that when you report it.

    The purge on nb was over the top. it just was. The new dot suppression is much more balanced imo. They just need to fix it. You dont balance a game by saying something is broken so change how it fundamentally works. You fix the darn thing.

    As to running purge. As a mag blade sure. As a stam ganker sure i can get with that. But for open world fighting, it is just not a reasonable choice. Sure you can run efficient purge and it wont be too bad on mag drain, but nb already have a ton of abilities that drain mag. Personally, I run double take, grim focus, cloak, fear. I use cloak a ton for the8% reduction which i think is very underated and dont know why more people dont run it in pvp. My suggestion to stam blades is to make sure you also have mag recovery and reduced mag cost. Personally, I run 8% mag reduction in cp and get anywhere from 1000 mag recovery to 120 depending on build. I still have plenty left over for everything else i need in the tree. The resources in mag help a ton in pvp.
    Go check the bug section I bump that thread everhday,still no response, Projectile's are breaking cloak it's ridiculous.I agree they should fix the issue with cloak they won't so adding the purge is much easier for them to do.It shown when cloak had the purge it worked they removed it and its like at launch no longer works.Plus its the reason NB do not have a in class shield or major mending because we have cloak they need to decide either give us a shield or major mending or fix cloak the ball in ZOS court.

    I completely agree with you for open world PVP I just can't afford it their so many magic dumps on a stam blade that we need it sucks.

    At least if cloak broke instantly you can remove dots off you with cloak purge to take off some pressure.

    Mdks complain yet they have so many more options to reveal nbs. MageLight reveal. Grotharr and Talons. Heavy armour also kicks a** now complared to 1.6 when nbs had purge.

    I also dont like the argument that rally vigor is enough when temps also have purge, dks have mending shields and sorcs have surge + hurricane to basically disable cloak.

    Nb cloak would be nice if it suppressed dots for 4 seconds regardless if it broke or not on use. At least that would help.

    Ya Temps have purge. They are a healing class. Dk has major mending and is meant to sit in damage so makes sense. Sorcs have some various ways to heal and sustain. Nb has ability to reset fight, mobility, highest burst, and reduces raw damage of other players. Yes there are various ways to break cloak. Many are bugged and need fixed to make it more reliable which in turn allows the dot suppression to work more effectively. The key with cloak even if it worked properlly is using it strategically. A competent player will always be ready to reveal you. Cc and cloak. Shadow image and cloak. Dodge roll, sprint and cloak. Los and cloak. Immovable pots and cloak. Etc. You counter play the counter play. Additionally, rather than just trying to stay cloaked for the duration of the dot, you time your cloaks with the ticks of a dot.

    lol now its is almost never able to see how nb can have highest burst in pvp wwhile all other are running with those *** proc sets, maybe if nb will do the highest burst dmg it will be very very minimum better than from heavy armored proctard

    I know a lot of people are going to disagree with this but please just hear me out. Magicka DKs were absolute trash 2 updates ago. Now they are top dog again with their really high burst. I can't kill them with their 30k physical resistance (probably exaggerating but they are still very tanky). Their damage is really high with all those dots they apply to me. I open up a death recap and I see the abilties I am getting hit with are like 6k (my health bar is 24k), they take absolutely no damage with their heavy armor meanwhile they are up in my face applying all these dots and I am wrecked in about 15 seconds. I have 2400 critical resistance 24k health 5.1k weapon damage 36k maximum stamina and 1800 recovery. My issue is that I can't heal through their damage and it's damn near impossible for me to avoid getting hit by them.

    I have good stats but I can't kill them because of their tankiness. I use to laugh so hard when I would run into 531s in the last update that were wearing light armor as a magicka dk.

    This ability was not cheap at all. Nerfing this ability was basically like taking batmans utility belt away. Also please add softcaps again. PLEASE!!!!

    I have never understood the complaints of a magicka dk... Back when templar were struggling, all of our threads would be hijacked by them saying how they are under powered too, I never saw it then and I definitely don't see it now. Magicka nightblades however... I don't play mine much but when I do I find them to be the weakest thing there is, they are the worst of the magicka classes and stamina outperforms magicka at the moment too so they are screwed really. I know a few magicka nightblades, and they don't play the game much anymore, I wonder why :lol: Even when people were complaining about them in the IC update, because they could stealth which was a perfect place for them to do so, they weren't OP, in comparison to other builds, just convenient.

    Its not really funny though, zenimax are absolutely awful when it comes to balance, they nerf nightblade as a class, thinking only about stamina (as they do) and not giving a thought to how those nerfs make magicka versions weaker... If they really want to divide stamina and magicka so badly and yet keep balance, perhaps they should encourage players to choose some sort of branch from their class so that magicka and stamina skill lines can be kept separate in order to avoid gimping a certain class choosing to play either :blush:

    Well yes I am a vampire. I have high cp. I have all my cp.

    You know what? It's okay though because I just got a magplar to level 50 and I have pretty much everything I need except 3 gear pieces and a few passives but I am still op. My heals are tough as nails, my poky stick is really strong, and I had no idea how overpowered that Jesus Beam is. That isn't even a class finisher. To call it a class finisher is dumb because of how op it is. Moral of the story I stopped playing my nightblade because I got kind of tired of dying all the time and being a glass cannon. That gets boring. I have a sorcerer as well. Probably won't play any of them until we begin to see a few changes.

    So you're telling me that the nightblades purge was over the top when the most op class in the game can purge 5 harmful effects instead of 4 dots, then actually has good burst with powerful heals and sustain? Well a magplar can be a tank/dps/healer, then a nightblade is limited to just being forced to sit in stealth to kill people. That is so lame. Being able to kill 8 people by yourself without breaking a sweat vs dying in 4 hits out of stealth in all impen. Wonderful.

    You obviously don't know how to play nb then if your just sitting in shadows and still having trouble. L2p issue mate.

    Been playing nb since beta. Have been playing stam nb since stam sucked, nb sacked and dk rained supreme.

    Aldo, temps are fine. I kill temps as a nb more than any other class. For awhile they were the worst for me. Then I practiced against my friends and rolled one to get to know them more. With practice I got bettet. Maybe you should think of that. Not every class needs the same thing. Temps are natural healers they should get to purge. Nb are not. Plus, any mag class can use purge.

    Nb purge was over the top bottom line. You can say other classes are over the top. That is your opinion. But buffing a class because anot her is over performing is not the answer.

    I can 1vx just fine on my nb. Heck for proof look at sypher. It is your own playstyle that needs work. Again, l2nb.
