Get that garbage outta here, report all cheats over and over all day every day

Everyone acts like cheats are everywhere, around every corner now. I have seriously never come across one before.

I have come across players that are sooo good that I could have sworn they were cheating, but they clearly weren't.

But it's easy to blame it on cheaters when you are a sore loser.

When you see a player running twice as fast as a sorc can streak, like Speedy Gonzales, it's kinda obvious something fishy is going on.

Yes but until you run a 7 medium major AND minor expedition buff sorcerer and sprint across the country side at Mach speed you lack the frame of reference to accurately gauge what is and isn't cheating. You are over here block walking and subtlety accusing sribes of cheating because he moves faster than your walking character. Stop the witch hunt.

I'm in 2 dueling guilds and I can beat those guys that post videos on youtube. They are not cheating.

That's not what this thread and the issues we're discussing here are about. This is about Ayers using cheat programs to gain an advantage. Again, please read the forums to understand what all has been going on.

    And congratulations on being good.

Players accuse others of cheating when they are beaten badly. This kind of posts will encourage these players to think that every "good player" out there is cheating, and this can have a very negative impact on the PvP population in the long term.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of perma banning cheaters, but I'm starting to see this is becoming Age of Conan 2.0, where everytime you defeated a player that thought he was good he would start to cry about cheating, spreading the word to new players about how PvP in the game was dead cause it was full of cheats.

Both games were and are buggy as hell, and this makes people think others are cheating (which on the other hand is the perfect self excuse to avoid being hurt in the e-peen, because, you know, "he killed me with cheats").

I've been accused of cheating on both games, simply because I made my own builds and they were successful, and because I learned how to use the combat system "tricks" (combo jumping in Age of Conan and animation canceling in ESO).

So, just know that everytime someone kills you, it's because he did better than you.

Sounds like some people are still either naive, blind or trying to get ZOS to look the other way so they and their friends can continue to cheat for an advantage.

Cheating doesnt make you a better player it makes you a worse human.

Ive listened in on hackers/exploiters talking in TS and even on twitch. Their mentality is "everyone else is using it so I have to". So for them to think that they beat you fairly its because they think everyone is using the same cheats.

Make no mistake...there are still people using known or unknown exploits or/and hacks. The competition since the bannings has been much more on par with normal. There are still very good players out there but very few godlike players.

There was one person a couple of nights ago that kept attacking our group that used to be immortal. He kept wiping in a matter of seconds. After about the 10th death he came back and was in god mode again. Good players can tell what the game allows and what it doesnt. There is only so fast that a character can move and people can tell when you are the only one moving that fast that something isnt right. There is only so much damage one can do while not coming out of stealth, there is only so much dmg a glass cannon with no shields can take and there are only so many times you can dodge without dodge rolling before the RNG catches up with you. When someone has all of that...

Be blind to it if it makes you feel better but dont ask us to turn the other cheek. This is our game too.

Don't report players when you just think their cheating.
Report them when they show proof like flying, meteor spam, etc. You have to see them doing the cheat as well as others also must see it.

Lastly, take a video of it and sent it to ZOS.
A witch hunt is never good and will sent more players away.( for most will be falsely banned)

The problem we face now is everyone's going to be reported for cheating for every little inconsistency and ZOS are going to have so many false reports it will muddy the water.

Then when the person everyone believes is a cheat because they're good at the game or found a good set/skill combo isn't banned then everyone will start screaming ZOS isn't doing anything.

The faster ZOS gets a handle on this the better but until the hacks are gone then we need to keep this as a front page issue. Yes there will be people get reported by some just because they got owned but many will get reported for being the cheaters they are. Its up to ZOS to figure out which is which or make some of the things server side so they cant be altered. We as players need to keep the pressure on and let them know whats going on even if you feel they should already know.

Yes, there are some incredibly skillful players in PVP. There are also a lot of players who only APPEAR to be skillful too.

Only cheaters you can prove cheating? LOL! It's up to ZOS to find it in their logs and thus prove it.

This barking for proof has been blatantly going on like a mantra everytime someone points to oddities, be it 5 skills in 1 second or unbelievable health and regeneration paired with hitting harder than "normal" fotm builds -"Prove it..."

Report any and all suspicious players and activities, that's what ZOS wants us to.

Then they will look through the reported players log with a magnafying glass so not even the slightest tweaks to any stats or functions to the game will be missed. If it's just another extremely good player, the log will show.

Only players with any sort of shady thing going on in their log history would fear an audit. Everyone else will welcome it.

I run with an old, established guild (that is in at least 30 games) that has been in Cyrodiil, playing one faction, since beta. They know pvp quite well, even in ESO. Any kind of cheating, exploiting or hacking will get you kicked from our guild. In some ways our guild is pretty hardcore.

Some of the players in ESO pvp that have been suspect of cheating or hacking for quite some time have suddenly disappeared or become just as mortal as the rest of us since the CE ban. We now know the difference between the honest and not-so-honest players. It is so very plain and obvious who is just too powerful, being able to mitigate damage from 8 players for 15+ seconds and still deal tremendous damage.

They are out there and in much greater numbers that we had thought. Certain factions (and guilds) are now folding like paper.

Liars are the ones who don't trust anyone else. Cheaters are the ones who will deny that there are any cheaters. That is fine because since the EC banhammer we know the difference. The cheaters have made us better, hardened warriors and we will always be better than a cheat.

Cheaters have got to go i am sick of them and i am sure others are as well

What a difference since the cheat engine came to light really disappointed so many players were using it and those hard to kill players now are just average.

I think a few people are trying to re tune it and if you suspect someone of cheating if at all possible get a video and pm the sfaff do not post in forums but at least report them video or not this crap needs to end as much as possible

I'm with you @Abob. All these people are so wrong. They got beat by a better player and not by any cheat. Not one of them has come up with any video evidence from the other player's perspective, in HD, from a 45 degree angle, irrefutably showing the cheat working on their system. Wow, the salt in here! Lol at the screenshots from the loser's perspective and not video. Losers will always make up reasons why they lost, it's a fact of life, they will always be losers.

Didn't Lance Armstrong win 7 tour de france's? Didn't captain kirk win when he beat the Kobayashi Maru scenario? Didn't Mike Tyson win when he bit that dude's ear off?

Something nobody has mentioned is that I know somebody that has a cousin that personally vouches for the fact that all the epic-elite players that have disappeared the last few days are just on vacation for three days. Some are on a 3-day business trip for their job at McDonald's or Wendy's. Some just got tired of pwning the crap out of everybody on their class/build and decided to start a brand new account and ditch the old one completely. Giving up that old imperial stam DK and pwning with 0 CPs on that shiny new imperial mag DK just shows how truly great they really are. I wish I could reach up and suck off their flow of pure, streaming talent and rub it ll over my body.

Let's hop over into the 'check-everyone's-logs-for-cheating' thread and point out that only losers would suspend the 4th amendment.

Red cheaters last night on Haderus were particularly egregious. Cheating their way through keep doors, using non-class skills, 5 attacks in less than a second. If this keeps up, I will swear off PvP and may be ESO altogether. There's a reason the population has dropped off. No one wants to play with cheaters.

I don't think many really understand the consequences of this.

I know too many players that would still be around, and still paying money, to play this game if they felt the had a fair shake. I could speculate that friends have abandoned guilds thinking that there buds were just bad players. I've seen players even switch factions to play with the hackers because they are mesmerized by how skilled they appeared to be. I have friends that have left honest fun time groups just so they can hack and ap farm.

No one wants to play a game where they are, by default, a peasant in the realm of gods.

If you don't really see an issue that's fine, your opinion is cool but what about the countless other players who really do care? Are we just gonna ignore the players that want an level playing field or are we gonna pander to the trolls and cheats that want to ruin everyone's fun for selfish gain?

What's gonna happen when the only way to reach the top is too juice...or is it already too late. For all the honest and skilled players out there that have stuck to there guns and play like a bad *ss, I salute you.

Yep I've seen quite a few good players, honest players, say well that's that and say goodbye when they found out or realized that these cheats have been at it for about a year on and off.

I would wager that more honest players have quit the game than cheaters have been banned with the revelation these dirtbags have been cheating (and bragging about how awesome they are) all along.

I've said it before, I'll say it again... Never seen prouder cheats in a game. These cheats are arrogant about it, they talk trash and they are nothing but cheats.

As for the "I dueled X and they don't cheat" argument that I see regurgitated constantly.... If you are in a dueling guild, it's likely they have been told no CE while dueling. There is a guy mentioned in the thread that people swear up and down doesn't cheat, but the fact is he very obviously is running CE. Maybe not when you "duel" him, but out in cyrondil it's a dodge dodge dodgefest on this guy. A so called dueling champion speed hacks and noclips through walls, saw it last night. The fanbois just cheer and think that people are making stuff up. Many of these guys of very careful to not go overboard when they know someone else is streaming or recording... when it's just their own antics they know they don't have to show stuff that will get them in trouble.

Funniest thing is when the cult of hero worship turns to "show me where they cheated" in a video... a video that their hero posted. It's nearly as funny as how the fallback retort nearly every exploiter using CE goes to is "Tell me how I exploited?".

I've went out of my way to not name names. Mostly because I've been warned and editted about regarding someone that people I know in their faction admit to knowing they cheat and even being told by that very person that they use CE and other hacks (in ts).

My guess is the bulk of them are moving to CU and they really don't care if they get banned because they have already decided that the grass is greener.

Saw a guy, a templar, jump into Sejanus last night from the side entrance. Saw the same guy jumping into Fare a half a dozen times. Jumping. Templar. Hello? Give us all a break and stop the knee jerk defense of cheaters some of you always go to. I can 100% guarantee that if I named and shamed this guy, there would be dozens of supporters claiming "I got rekt". Meanwhile you can't even dragon leap into Sejanus from the sides....

I don't think anyone is defending cheaters here. Cheaters suck. ZOS should continue to work to ban cheaters.

I think the point people are trying to argue here Is this sentiment that anyone who overperforms is automatically a cheater. This just isn't true.

There are clear signs, and just performing well isn't enough. It's doing things you know are impossible without cheats.
