Everyone acts like cheats are everywhere, around every corner now. I have seriously never come across one before.
I have come across players that are sooo good that I could have sworn they were cheating, but they clearly weren't.
But it's easy to blame it on cheaters when you are a sore loser.

When you see a player running twice as fast as a sorc can streak, like Spèédy Gonzales, it's kinda obvious something fishy is going on.
That's not what this thread and the issues we're discussing here are about. This is about Ayers using cheat programs to gain an advantage. Again, please read the forums to understand what all has been going on.
And congratulations on being good.

Yes but until you run a 7 medium major AND minor expedition buff sorcerer and sprint across the country side at Mach speed you lack the frame of reference to accurately gauge what is and isn't cheating. You are over here block walking and subtlety accusing sribes of cheating because he moves faster than your walking character. Stop the witch hunt.

For the record, it wasn't sribes I was referring to unless he started a brand new NB.

He has a Stam sorc named speedy with those characters over the E's

Players accuse others of cheating when they are beaten badly. This kind of posts will encourage these players to think that every "good player" out there is cheating, and this can have a very negative impact on the PvP population in the long term.
Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of perma banning cheaters, but I'm starting to see this is becoming Age of Conan 2.0, where everytime you defeated a player that thought he was good he would start to cry about cheating, spreading the word to new players about how PvP in the game was dead cause it was full of cheats.
Both games were and are buggy as hell, and this makes people think others are cheating (which on the other hand is the perfect self excuse to avoid being hurt in the e-peen, because, you know, "he killed me with cheats").
I've been accused of cheating on both games, simply because I made my own builds and they were successful, and because I learned how to use the combat system "tricks" (combo jumping in Age of Conan and animation canceling in ESO).
So, just know that everytime someone kills you, it's because he did better than you.
Don't report players when you just think their cheating.
Report them when they show proof like flying, meteor spam, etc. You have to see them doing the cheat as well as others also must see it.
Lastly, take a video of it and sent it to ZOS.
A witch hunt is never good and will sent more players away.( for most will be falsely banned)

The problem is that Cheat Engine allows you to do more subtle things than the obvious flying, infinite ultimates, and speed hacks. It allows you to remove the CP cap, adjust your stats up, boost your CP, get passives you shouldn't have, increase your range, etc.
Yes, there are some incredibly skillful players in PVP. There are also a lot of players who only APPEAR to be skillful too.
Automatically denigrating anyone who has the temerity to cry foul though? That just marks you as ignorant, a troll, a cheat, or just an arse.

Well, you're either a troll or a cheater. Which is it?
Then give, the players that metric. There isn't one. So as the Marines say, "Shoot em all, and let god sort them out."caeliusstarbreaker wrote: »Don't report players when you just think their cheating.

Yes... But for arguments sake... Shouldn't a not so eloquently issued initial accusation based on subjective parameters as a metric for immediate reporting fit your same standard model of ignorant, troll sore loser or arse?

I think the only troll here is you, and a butthurt one.
Just learn to play. Accept your defeats and learn from them.

I know too many players that would still be around, and still paying money, to play this game if they felt the had a fair shake. I could speculate that friends have abandoned guilds thinking that there buds were just bad players. I've seen players even switch factions to play with the hackers because they are mesmerized by how skilled they appeared to be. I have friends that have left honest fun time groups just so they can hack and ap farm.
No one wants to play a game where they are, by default, a peasant in the realm of gods.
If you don't really see an issue that's fine, your opinion is cool but what about the countless other players who really do care? Are we just gonna ignore the players that want an level playing field or are we gonna pander to the trolls and cheats that want to ruin everyone's fun for selfish gain?
What's gonna happen when the only way to reach the top is too juice...or is it already too late. For all the honest and skilled players out there that have stuck to there guns and play like a bad *ss, I salute you.

Yep I've seen quite a few good players, honest players, say well that's that and say goodbye when they found out or realized that these cheats have been at it for about a year on and off.
I would wager that more honest players have quit the game than cheaters have been banned with the revelation these dirtbags have been cheating (and bragging about how awesome they are) all along.
I've said it before, I'll say it again... Never seen prouder cheats in a game. These cheats are arrogant about it, they talk trash and they are nothing but cheats.
As for the "I dueled X and they don't cheat" argument that I see regurgitated constantly.... If you are in a dueling guild, it's likely they have been told no CE while dueling. There is a guy mentioned in the thread that people swear up and down doesn't cheat, but the fact is he very obviously is running CE. Maybe not when you "duel" him, but out in cyrondil it's a dodge dodge dodgefest on this guy. A so called dueling champion speed hacks and noclips through walls, saw it last night. The fanbois just cheer and think that people are making stuff up. Many of these guys of very careful to not go overboard when they know someone else is streaming or recording... when it's just their own antics they know they don't have to show stuff that will get them in trouble.
Funniest thing is when the cult of hero worship turns to "show me where they cheated" in a video... a video that their hero posted. It's nearly as funny as how the fallback retort nearly every exploiter using CE goes to is "Tell me how I exploited?".
I've went out of my way to not name names. Mostly because I've been warned and editted about regarding someone that people I know in their faction admit to knowing they cheat and even being told by that very person that they use CE and other hacks (in ts).
My guess is the bulk of them are moving to CU and they really don't care if they get banned because they have already decided that the grass is greener.
Saw a guy, a templar, jump into Sejanus last night from the side entrance. Saw the same guy jumping into Fare a half a dozen times. Jumping. Templar. Hello? Give us all a break and stop the knee jerk defense of cheaters some of you always go to. I can 100% guarantee that if I named and shamed this guy, there would be dozens of supporters claiming "I got rekt". Meanwhile you can't even dragon leap into Sejanus from the sides....
