You do not need to buy respec scrolls to respec your chars. You can use shrines.

Actually, I think they stated at one point that making them 0 cost is not something they can do. 100 Gold is effectively 0 cost anyway.

This is exactly what should happen. Any time they introduce changes they should leave it up to the players whether or not they want to respec in response to those changes and make the cost to do so negligible.

Soooo, you do have the opportunity to respec your toons at the shrines. What do you need a free scroll for again?

Almost every skill and morph were not just changed but drastically changed. So I agree we need to be mailed 1 respec scroll per character. Bound to that character. If you dont want to use it then delete it.

No it isnt. Last time they made me redo all my characters even tho only one of them was affected by skill changes. I didnt have any choice. I logged in all my points were reset. It is not optional never has been. Thats why its called a "forced" respec.

I love the idea of a respec scroll, bound to character for a limited time.
That'd be a nice gesture, considering the changes. However, if there's been nasty condemnation about Zenimax giving that for free in the past because folks weren't ready to come online and see wiped out skill point trees?...they most likely said 'cool...it was a pain to do anyway..let them do it themselves'
Maybe they would consider respec scrolls being on sale after the update? Or maybe even throw them in some chests and urns every once in a while?

Cause we just had a major update about 2 months ago. So this is going to be almost 300k gold i spent on respects in almost two months time.

I had 8 chars, almost all vet ranks last time they wiped skills. Of course i knew the ones i had played recently well, but the others i had not touched for maybe months.

The ability to review each char as is before i wipe skills is a must imo.

If respec worked like cp do, your current values show and you can subtract/add that would be fine.

But magically wipe, nah.

Every since i do screen caps for all chars before major updates.

Just a heads up to new players. When this game first released and we got our first update a few months later, ZoS lowered the shrine cost for a few days so we had really cheep respecs. They are able to do this, there is a way to make those who dont want a free respec happy, and those who like myself that will have to spend 300k in the last 60 so days on respecs a lot more affordable and friendly. So again, the only reason they are not doing what they have done in the past, is that we now have respec scrolls in the crownstore, and they want us to buy them. Its nothing more then greed on their part and we need to call them out on it.

Do the right thing ZoS, you have done it in the past with cheep respecs, stop trying to nickle and dime your player base!

None of the changes to Skills or the Champion constellations affect any of my builds, so I'm not worried about having to reassign any points for anything.

So I'm really "meh" about it.
