Lol, I noticed turning on stairs felt somehow more difficult than usual. Good to know it is just another bizarre glitch, I shall cancel my appointment with a neurologist.

Haha yeah.. that's pretty much it. It's annoying when trying to maneuver in combat.

Someone just pointed me to this thread after I commented about this problem in the IC patch 'Known Issues' thread (here : http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en-GB/discussion/comment/2226704/#Comment_2226704).

I've spent the last week fiddling with settings, in game and out, trying to figure out why turning was so sluggish when sprinting in 1st person suddenly. Was worried it was something with my system given there was no mention of a change in the patch notes. It feels like what happens with bad PC ports of console games when they have severe mouse acceleration (that was needed for controllers) and don't include an option to disable it when it's converted to keyboard / mouse control.

Hopefully it's either a bug, or they'll add a disable option because it really doesn't make any sense.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm glad it's been brought up in a Dev discussion as well.

Same problem here. Everything is fine until I start sprinting. Then, it feels like the mouse sensitivity is halved. I haven't been able to fix this with any settings. Hope this gets fixed soon. It makes the game almost impossible to play after the update.

This issue affects the following modes for me:

    Third person, weapon drawn
    First person weapon drawn
    First person, weapon sheathed

The sensitivity is fine while mounted, and while in third person with weapon sheathed.

@ZOS_GinaBruno any way we can get some info on this?

    @ZOS_RichLambert or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

I don't normally bump things like this, but it's bothering me that this isn't getting any attention or at least a comment from a dev. Is it a known issue? Is it a change that's somehow working as intended?

Moved to Tech Support forum to see if this will get any dev attention there.

Surprised this hasn't received any comment from ZOS, surely this will affect anyone playing the game for more than 5 minutes.

I'm sure this was an oversight, no one sane would willfully introduce inconsistencies to a game's control scheme, only serving to annoy the playerbase...right?

I came here hoping that maybe someone knows of a config variable like SET CameraBehavesStupidlyWhileSprinting "0" or something, cuz this is doing my head in, but I guess not.

Yeah, I'm pretty stumped too. Don't really get it. It's such an obvious issue that I noticed immediately after the update on Aug 31. I checked through the config file and played around with a couple mouse sensitivity settings, but it didn't help.

@ZOS_GinaBruno - Can you guys please look into this?

I'll move it back to General and bump it up again pretty soon.

    Thanks.

This may not be affecting everyone, it could be due to specific hardware / software combos. So out of curiosity what mouse and Operating System does everyone have? Also are you using the default Windows drivers or the mouse specific software if it's a programmable model?

I have a Logitech G400; Win 7 Ulti. SP1, using the default drivers.

I sent up a support email about this, received a generic response but nothing really came of it. The support rep in the email seemed to say something about how they couldn't consider this a "known issue" until they investigated further. But I think it was a fairly routine response.

It's just weird how something like this can change without any sort of patch note or explanation. It's still a really annoying issue in game.

Are any of you guys still experiencing this issue? If so, can you please submit a /bug report in game about it?

I still am, and customer support via email has advised to submit a /bug report so they can collect the data properly. They've also suggested it's not a wide spread issue.. not sure about that.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Alex do you have anything to share about this at all?

    Thanks.

Not to derail from this issue, but does anyone know if you can disable the UserSettings.txt mouse sensitivity option or seperate it from "cursor mode"?

Sometimes I feel it's too slow, but it only really seems slow when you go into cursor mode when looting or about to type in chat etc. I could crank the value of the mouse sensitivity up in UserSettings.txt but it's already around 3.5(1.0 was the default) and I'm not sure if it'll have a dramatic effect on the normal gameplay mode.

I could always adjust my actual mouse DPI, but that's why I was wondering about these two modes. My native mouse DPI only effects the "Cursor mode" and the mouse sensitivity in UserSettings.txt only effects the normal gameplay?

Hope that's clear lol. Mouse DPI settings and game settings make me wonder what my actual sensitivity is most of the time.

Yes, still happening. The "not a wide spread issue" is typical BS, just because people don't complain about it a lot doesn't mean it's not happening.

All of my 8 characters have the same problem ...

Yeah It's still the same for me. I submitted a bug report when it first happened, I could always send another. I can completely understand it not being widespread, but that doesn't mean it's not annoying as hell for those of us it does affect. :(

Yeah, exactly. Right when that patch hit this started...very obvious change/bug due to something that was changed with that update.

    Haha..damn.

What's weird is that this issue affects first person view whether your weapon is drawn or not. So the only view mode not affected is third person with weapon sheathed.

Can we please get some sort of insight on this topic?

It's been a very obvious issue for myself and many others since the IC update release a few months ago. I've submitted multiple customer service tickets/emails. I'm told the issue has been sent to the correct team, and they're investigating, but I never hear back.

It would be really nice just to get some sort of acknowledgement here.

    Thanks.
