GUILD BANK OPTIONS to prevent bank thieves (console) - Show ZoS how much we need these features!!!!!

We desperately need more options for the guild bank. We run an active guild and have a very active economy. The other day we had somebody steal 16 pages worth of blue/purple weapons, legendary crafting mats, etc. This was a member that has been with us for a while and for all accounts was relatively trusted. Since the incident, we were forced to revoke access to withdrawing items for most members and had limited access to a core of about ten people. I was under the impression that those without access to withdraw at this stage could still see the inventory and make requests. That was incorrect though, if you do not give the full ability to view and withdraw as much as possible, setting yourself up for ninjas, those members can not see the bank AT ALL to even request an officers assistance to acquire an item.

Fast forward a few days and it happened again, we were hit from a trusted member within the core. At this stage I really just want to see options to completely prevent this type of behaviour. I have several other members that I 100% trust, but the guild bank should be the guild bank, as it stands now, it is just an expanded inventory for a few players to use. Those who cannot withdraw should still be able to see what is in there, possibly even using a queue system that puts in requests for withdraw. Those requests would then send a notification for approval to officers and leader.

Things we need implemented as soon as possible:

1/ The ability to set access to various tabs based on guild rank. This would allow us to set recruits to access bank tab 1, there they could grab low level mats/gear/potions to assist them in their leveling. This would also allow officers to access a high level tab, etc.

2/ The ability to limit the amount of withdrawals per day. This is absolutely imperative, as this would completely stop a ninja in their tracks. Restricting the recruits to 2 withdrawals per day, the members with 5 per day, the officers with 10 per day, etc. would completely eliminate guild ninjas.

3/ The ability to label guild tabs and have items people deposit automatically relocate to those tabs.
Example: set a tab for weapons, all weapons deposited appear on that tab, set a tab for potions/food, all potions/food deposited appear on that tab, etc.

4/ STACKING. You've heard this one before, but I must add my voice on this. How fun is it for me to spend approximately six hours over the last three days pulling out every item from the bank into my bag, and then in my personal bank so it stacks, and then back into my bag, and THEN back into the bank in a nice stack? About as fun as sticking my hand in the toaster and turning it on. I wanted to quest last night but I spent another hour doing this for 280 items. Terrible. This needs to be fixed asap, it is horribly inconvenient trying to keep my guild bank organized. I have now requested several friends help me out with this, but the fact remains, this is super tedious and not fun at all for anyone tasked to restacking duties.

Please patch these asap. I know console release was a big undertaking, and Hurray!!! It was a big success! Now is the time to fix up these issues and get this patch out. There are many issues needing attention (text chat, ability to turn off area voice chat by default, etc. etc) but these guild bank features are very important to every guild out there striving to provide a fun and helpful community. The game is great, it is a huge turning point for ESO. Now that we are passing the launch phase and everything is going quite well, please work on these guild bank features as soon as possible, it has been a nightmare managing this with the extremely limited tools we have when it comes to guild banking.

Strange that you can't look in the bank if you do not have Withdrawal Privileges. It is essential that only a few people can withdraw from the bank, but that does put more work on the Guild Officers who can do this. Especially with the Stacking issues. Anyway, players are fickle, and you only really know them from the account name, no face to face to gauge them. I for one would have the most difficult time determining who I would allow to withdraw from the Guild Bank.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Among the list of other guild features I would love to see, this one makes it in the top two. I agree on the need for limits and tabs.

PS - The majority of the topics you touched on I feel could also be directed at PC as well. Although on PC you are able to view items in a guild bank you cannot withdraw on, these would be some great additions for all platforms.

It has been a fragile dance of trusting players and hoping that I am making the right choices, only to find that greed can often overwhelm even the friendliest of players. Some of the features I listed above would go a long way in making the guild ninja extinct in ESO.

Unfortunately it would have to be a live and learn until they implement something in place (and I agree that we need more options for guild bank management). Some guilds have been through this (being an officer in one guild saw abuse and raiding of the bank from some members). But you should also be able to speak with support (and hopefully crossing fingers) be able to help out in returning those items from the player (again, we can only hope).

Something similar happened to the guild i was in, not to the scale, but there is 1 leader, 5 co leaders, 15-20 approved members and like 200 or so non-approved, im a approved and i dont have a say in ranking or anything, im just trusted enough to have access to the guild bank, and 2 days ago we had stacks of raw mats, ingreds, weapons/armour from level 1-50, alot of stuff basically like (200-300 items) and then i think 3-4 members get ranked up and i came on later that day and the bank was literarily empty, looked at guild bank history and some guy stole everything.
So although i am not the leader of said guild, i was still like ... It reflects badly on others.
So a limit would be a great sytsem to implement like max withdrawels or allow leaders to set notifactions, i want to take something , then its needs to be confirmed by a leader, or ofcourse they can tick allow withdrawel without request.

And of course stacking is a bug id assume, ofc needs a patch.

If you only want weapons and armour to be given to people who ask for it just tell them in voice what you have on offer and send it as a attachment in a message. Until then keep them in your own Bank. Guild Banks are just places you put stuff you don't want and its a free for all. You can't expect it to be anything else.

We have close to 200 members that want to share amongst each other. We have approximately 200 green/blue/purple weapons/gear, hundreds of mats/potions/etc. on our guild bank. Spamming that list of items all day in voice chat for people to know what we have is actually impossible. If members could view the tab at the very least, but not withdraw until they request assistance from higher rank, that would save a lot of trouble. We want to help each other, right now the tools we are given are too limited and risky, and they are actually limiting our ability to share amongst eachother in a cohesive manner.
Don't put stuff you don't want to lose in the guild bank.
What about sharing with the guild? We encourage a positive and helpful community. We actually want people to take items and share amongst each other, we want the ability for members to have access to donated items from other kind members, the problem is when one bad apple takes it on themselves to take EVERYTHING for profit.

Not exactly, we can't stack on PC either. What happened is there was a duping bug at launch that allowed players to place and remove items repeatedly and duplicate tons of legendary mats, motifs and so on.
Instead of fixing the bug ZOS just took out the ability to have things auto stack in the guild bank.
So it has remained ever since.

Plus - don't randomly invite total strangers, and only recruit people your officers have personally spent time with - preferably in groups. I remember my first guild in EQ when I had not only to meet that requirement but also had to perform a trial quest set for me by the guild's recruitment officer.

That is the cause of the Stacking issue in guild bank...lol...cheese and rice.

Right now my guild has trusted members just go through and stack items "manually" in order to deal with this; but it is really annoying and would be nice if resolved. However, given that this is a solution to the dupe problem, I don't see that happening.

Currently on console, we stack like this:
    1. Remove all stackable items from the guild bank of the same name. This will not stack them in your inventory.
    2. Deposit each removed stack into personal bank. This will stack the items.
    3. Remove the stack from personal bank.
    4. Possibly split the stack if you had your own stash of the item as well; so you can keep your items, which are now stacked into the guild banks items as well.
    5. Deposit the new stack in the guild bank.

This is completely a pain in the ass to do on a large scale. I would be happy with a way to select multiple items in guild bank, then execute a stack. So the items get stacked without ever needing to withdraw or anything like that; if we can't get auto stacking because of the glitch.

With any large guild you are inherently going to get some people who you do not know directly. As a guild leader you must trust players to a degree and continue siphoning out the bad apples as they present themselves. If you've ever managed a large guild, you would know first hand that numbers come first, refining your ranks to a core group of awesome people is the second stage. I am not expecting to 100% trust, and know directly in real life every single player invited to our guild. Any guild leader that says they 100% trust absolutely everyone in their guild has a guild of seven people, and three of them are his brothers, one is his girlfriend, and three others are best friends they have known since kindergarten.

What I do expect and hope for is to be given the tools to allow a positive, helpful community to flourish, without the risk of losing it all when greed gets the best of someone.

I am always amused that people immediately have to play the devil's advocate on game forums. I am asking for common sense, quality of life features that will assist any and every helpful, friendly community. Right now the guild bank is one of absolute trust or nothing at all, and it is severely limiting our ability to provide a community of players that share freely amongst each other.

    You could have two guilds.

My PC guild has two just for the extra guild bank space and we use one just for mats.

But in your situation you could have one where everyone has access, and the other where just a few have access. Then you could move a limited amount of stuff from the restricted one to the other.

OK it's more work, but it's a way around this until (if) the guild banks get fixed.

Again, that is not the answer to this. It is what we are forced to do with the current system, but it is not the ultimate answer.

The thought process of excluding any valuable items you would otherwise be kind enough to donate is not cool. This severely limits a guilds ability to share amongst each other due to fear that a thief might jack the entire bank of actually helpful/valuable items.

Because what, you are likely to put a full set of VR14 Healers set gear with a value of several hundreds of thousands of gold into the guild bank? The gear in this game seems to me to be quite clearly divided into 'stuff that is only worth the mats' which I wouldn't worry about being stolen from the guild bank, and endgame gear which is worth a shed-load of cash, good on you if you want to donate that, but it can be done in person by pst.

Unfortunately, you cannot differentiate the bad apples from the good ones based on your interaction in game (unless you know them personally). With 200 members, there is bound to be a few there. Because you're so trusting, unfortunately, some members have taken advantage of the CURRENT system.

There are still some ways to swap around by means of trading. That ensures at least that should someone require a specific set, that someone has it from other people that they can just trade or mail for free.

It would be so simple to implement a daily maximum withdrawl limit for each rarity level. Why hasn't such a logical feature been implemented yet?

Zenimax seems to really fail in the quality of life features department. Group finder, personal combat damage numbers ui elements, guild management tools, player interaction, map markers, means to mark items "safe" from deconstruction/destruction, slow trade interface that doesn't remember selections between kiosks, botched console tag/id communication and blocking system, voice-chat usefulness, means to disable annoying messages (ui, ultimate ready sound, PvP messages when not in Cyrodiil), etc.....etc....

Storyline, voice acting, core combat mechanics, graphics, music, and many other core gameplay elements are great. But all the typical MMO niceties are very much lacking.

These forums have dozens of frequently mentioned suggestions of changes that would make everyone happy. Many specific guild management features are just some good examples. Yet we never hear communication about what is actually going to happen.
End the tedious inventory management game.

All those options would be nice, but for now just turn off withdraw permissions and have players send mail requesting items they want and why they need them. Then just withdraw them yourself and mail them out. Tedious, but it's the safest thing to do.

@Merkabeh Nah, not a stacking issue. Once a guild has been around long enough.. That tends to happen. You may even have to put rules on what people are allowed to deposit due to it always being full... Which also leads to a guild bank full of goodies.. But by then you'll have learned to keep a slightly shorter leesh on the bank.

The real issue is not being able to see what's in the bank without having withdrawal permissions.. Because then folks can't even ask.. Since they don't know what's in there
