I have reported players for botting, exploiting, and everything in between, and yet I still see the players in game doing the same thing day in and day out. Sometimes the cheating is so blatantly obvious its ignorant.

Seems to me, that even if you HAVE proof, NOTHING is done about it.

ZOS says that they cannot discuss the outcome of their investigations, but when you and an entire guild report a cheating player (with proof) and that player is still in the game doing it day after day, obviously NOTHING is being done.

Between the exploits and the crashes I think the only thing "Unlimited" about Tamriel Unlimited is its problems.

Jab though it may be, this is how bugs are fixed in programming. You need to reliably reproduce the error so you can begin narrowing down lines of code that could cause it. It can be a lengthy process, taking hours of trial and error for a short program, or you luck out and fix it on the first tweak.

Point is: Publish "How To's" so ZOS's team can replicate the exploit and begin the trial&error process of fixing the code.
Or if a How To is too much work, submit a report detailing how to replicate the exploit.

ZOS will have to step up and do something if all of these lag issues players are having is players lagging out the servers on purpose. People had plenty of evidence of this before Update 6 hit, not so much after.

Sad thing is I've seen a good amount of good players and great PvP guilds leave this game because of exploiters getting away with stuff. I usually don't report players anymore though, I mean honestly it just doesn't seem worth it since nothing is ever done. I just stay away from them, or don't help them if it's AD exploiters and just have fun, especially stay way from certain players who are basically unkillable due to hacks. Wish I didn't have to do that though, kind of takes away from the PvP experience and definitely makes me hope Bethesda announces the next single player Elder Scrolls game soon.

I hope so, that'd be awesome. Hopefully E3 is where they announce it. They're having some big panel this year, first year they've done that.

ZOS has been aware of this exploit since 6/14, and perhaps before that. Nothing has been done about it.

The best thing you can do is not participate in broken mechanics . PvE NPC's don't cheat or intentionally try to cheat the system . Show ZOS by leaving that part of the games metrics . All MMOs record metrics . When they see people aren't there anymore and refuse to give any money you can bet that's when things will finally change .

iv done almost the same thing as you roe. Iv gone from being a full on PvPer to being mostly a PvEr. I cannot stand all the unbalanced crap and the exploiting going unpunished and the horrendus lag. the only PvP campaign I have recently spent large amounts of time in is blackwater blade. there is very little lag and cheating, and it is the most balanced and fun out of all the campaigns.

I swear launch was so much better.

At least you did something that could actually have been construed to be against the ToS.

I was "perma-banned" because some trashcans in Cyrodiil reported me for "hacking" because they had trouble killing me.

That these guys still play daily is pretty damning of the integrity of the people at ZoS to me. They protect these people yet refuse to comment on what they're doing, even to say it is OK or not OK.

We even had an official response back in the original thread that they had identified and corrected the exploit they were using in the next patch... yet like so many things in the patch notes this change must never have actually been tested.

But back to the topic at hand, or a related one at least, I know the frustration with the reporting systems, I've played a lot of MMOS where exploits and cheats were rampant and either GMS would ban you at the drop of a hat or they would ignore it. The better ones typically argued bans out in the open, while others kept it private and secretive, so no one knew their reporting had ANY effect.

One thing ZOS could do, as a middle ground, would be to report back how many tickets were opened and dealt with and how many had bans, warnings, or other actions taken against their accounts. No naming and shaming involved, just numbers and metrics to show where attention is being given and so we don't feel all alone.

I don't think this guy is cheating!

Given the fact ZoS won't ban this player, even after being inundated with reports, the most likely, logical explanation is that this guy has found some kind of synergy between Mist Form and some other ability or gear set bonus. ZoS devs probably looked into it and decided it wasn't worth nerfing some skill or gear set just to appease some PvP tattle-tales.

Instead of beating your heads against the wall, you guys ought to vamp up and figure out what this clown is doing, so you can do it to HIM. I'd do it myself, except I don't want to give up my WW stamina regen buff, LOL!

you clearly never watched the video then because the two people in question (and according to one of those two three others figured it out) not once use mist form..........so....tell us again how they found "synergy"

I have multiple videos of these two that I recorded while fighting them and they never once pop mist form

Nothing in the game gives your shields mitigation yet these guys have that. Their damage shields take far less damage than they should and that is impossible by game mechanics. Even set bonuses that reduce player damage against you don't work on your shields only your health.

I've been dealing with these trashcans for 6 or 7 months, they're either exploiting some game mechanic in a creative way or full on hacking the game. The evidence has all been laid out, people have tried to duplicate it through any known means of reducing damage in countlless prior threads. They eventually get deleted and then a new one pops up.

Dont worry @Ezareth , these nerf sorc threads will eventually make it so shields can only absorb 100 damage. Effectively making those two lose the ability to keep their shields up and have all that mitigation. I honestly believe it is because of those two (now 4 according to the one who rhymes with*cant say it because it might be naming and shaming and ZoS loves protecting people even if they are hackers or exploiters ruining their game* and maybe more) that people have such a hate for shields on sorcs.

I don't think zenimax is competent enough to actually fix that at the moment.

I have multiple videos of these two that I recorded while fighting them and they never once pop mist form

In the video I saw on YouTube of the player who shall not be named, he used Mist Form constantly. There a dozen different videos (at least!) of this guy on YouTube, so how do you know I'm even looking at the same one, LOL?

UPDATE: In the vid I saw, the Player Who Shall Not Be Named was only VR8, but it was similar to the vid Zhoyzu just posted above. In the VR8 video, the guy just keeps running away for ever and ever in a cloud of mist, and doesn't even attack his pursuer until he reaches friendly territory and some allies to help him out, at which point the pursuer dies, LOL.

a lot of streamers have a few lengthy highlights on their twitch pages under highlights, but no naming and shaming so I won't link any.

In most of these videos no mist form was used, but you can see the lower damage as if it was. Some of this lasted a while, and during this time damage and abilities were cast, something not allowed in mistform.

Im guessing everything has been tried to replicate this damage mitigation exploit(if its even an exploit and not a hack) but i thought i would ask, has anyone tried entering a campaign while in mist form or any of its morphs ? or traveling to player in mist form ? or even porting while u have low health with undeath passive active ? mayb the mitigation is staying after porting.

What they do is take advantage of the broken PvP mechanics. Theres many techy explanations for this but basically what it is is groups stacking up executing multiple abilities/ultimates thats causes too many calculations for the servers to handle.

AD and DC dont experience this because how many AD or DC zergs of 50-60 do you see running around TB (NA)? Maybe 1 here or there. Which is why they focus their attacks on RED. AD nor DC have enough resources to be fighting two fronts, aka "green alliance."

However, its blatantly obvious how specific red groups intentionally do lag a keep only relog and theyre repairing it. They cause the lag but once enemies die, the lag stops because theres nothing left to calculate. Then they'll argue that that's how the game was designed for, that's what Cyrodiil is meant to be,, that's what abilities are designed to do.

In order to counter this behavior it seems like ZOS is focusing on changing this behavior by having ways of "spreading people out"

a) Siege became the zerg buster and a counter for players to change this behavior, until they figured out that if you lag it, enemies can't set siege (it bugs out) or even activate siege equipment.

b) Abilties like Magicka Detonation are great abilties implemented into the gamet to counter zerg behavior but they also gave these people a tool along with the lag. Its riduculous how Magicka detonation is 38M range AOE ability.

c) Blessing of War buff (20% AP bonus from killing bosses in delve) was another way to reduce this behavior.
