    First, the positives. Thanks for introducing difficulty easing to solo instances! Now that it's no longer possible to overlevel and come back to them later, those of us who are terrible players or otherwise limited (e.g. due to physical disabilities) need the help.

    Also, thanks for all of the restacking changes. Guild Banks everywhere will thank you for them, and I may no longer need to yell at everyone who puts Almandine or Crawlers into the bank ;).

    I agree. It seems odd that the developers are giving to Stamina Sorcerers with one hand:
    Bound Armaments (morph): This ability now costs Stamina instead of Magicka, gives you a bonus to stamina instead of magicka, and increases the damage done by heavy attacks.

    Dark Deal (morph): This ability now converts magicka into health and stamina.

    Overload and Power Overload will now properly scale their damage off Weapon Damage and Stamina in the event that they are higher than Spell Power and Magicka.

    Summon Storm Atronach: Fixed an issue where this ability was only scaling off your magicka stats, but not your stamina stats. It will now correctly pick the largest value.

    • A NB cc's you->you break->vanish (if it works LOLOL)-> Unchained passive negated.
    • A DK uses petrify unbreakable chained cc rotation->Oh wait... can't break that stuff.->Unchained passive negated.

    Just seems to me that there are better nerf options for this expensive passive. It's easily negated.

    With 3s too easily negated, especially for ranged players.

    So my dps increase with 5 sorc abilities slotted (10% more spell power) is a little more than 5% where as my casts are reduced by 5%...

    So to lay out my point. In a PvE boss fight where the dps's are spamming executes I will be doing less damage because the amount of times I can cast my ability is less than the spell power dps increase i get from the new passive.

    In terms of PvE dps I would say this is a nerf. PvP wise it seems to be a burst damage buff

    Here's hoping ZOS can explain where they truly helped sorcs vs. continued nerfs.

    This patch the NA characters are not available, it's EU server's turn to have their characters. It's been switching off every other patch with the 1.6 stuff.

    Does the Burning Spellweave light armor set you get from City of Ash still have the change in 1.6 from spell crit to weapon crit? If so, please change it back to what it was before 1.6. Putting weapon crit on that set is ridiculous and wastes all the time and effort put into running that dungeon to try to get it to drop.

    I wish little things like this could get some attention over all of the pages and pages of Sorc tears. There was no reason to put weapon crit on that set.

    I would really like to know if I should even bother running City of Ash any more. The drop rate as it is makes this run somewhat frustrating, so if this set is going to be worthless now for casters, I'd like to know.

    Via testing done the Patch notes refference to Nirnhoned increase by 50% over Reinforced is wrong. Nothing changed whatsoever in the values. You can read the Bug report HERE.

    Mobs don't crit.

    now test against mobs without your shield on: you won't recieve a single crit either, as mobs simply do not crit...

    interesting because my combat cloud showed many crits without shield. to be sure I even doubled the font size of critical hits ;)

    The information is based on the patch notes and basis knowledge of pts and live mechanics. Mobs dont crit so your combat cloud might be buggy. Players do crit so that means with average crit of 30% they do 15% more damage on shields (without taking the now useless inpenetrable trait into consideration) plus shields are 15% weaker in cyrodiil, effectively reducing the survivability of LA users by another 30%, thats quite a lot if you ask me!

    I would not assume Absorb Shields can be crit based solely on the patch notes.

    Crit Surge now works on Shields, but so does Siphoning Strikes, which does not rely on crits. It's quite possible that ZOS did something more sophisticated than simply enabling crits against shields. Moreover, it would be a big gap in the patch notes if shields could be crit, and they didn't mention it.

    Volcanic Rune as changed does not always fire off when an enemy runs through it. More often than not it just disappears without doing anything as the enemy runs through it.

    I liked it much better in pre 1.6 versions where you could start a battle off with an explosion that had aoe.

    Also, regarding the Fighter's Guild shield spell (second ability), why does it no longer protect the caster? It only protects allies. This makes no sense to me.

    Dear Zenimax, what the game really, really needs is a big nerf on whining. Cutting whining down by, let's say 30%, would be a good value to begin with.

    Alot of set bonuses still look scaled very badly or unintentionaly ruined :

    Domion's/Pact's etc set which currently give 10% weapon crit :
    Now provide regular crit bonus like any other regular set + 146 hp.... 146 HP ? you gotta be kidding me :) While other setns and enchants give 1k HP :)
    Soul shine and Burning Spellweave sets give redicilously low spell damage at 5th item set bonus compared to regular spell damage bonus (specialy if you take into account tha this bonus just proc sometimes, it is not present all the time).
    Burning Spellweave still give weapon crit instead of spell crit for some cruel mistake. This change wasnt even stated in patch notes and obviusly make no sense at all. It ive spell crit on live and should give same on PTS
    Dominion's Jewelry which currently provide 10% spell crit, still give regular spell crit bonus. Second bonus added to this set which provide spell power give 2.5-3 times less spell power compared to any other regular set bonus to spell power.

    Crafted gear provide 2 points more of spell power at vr14 with legendary qualty compared with looted gear for some reason. Even in comparison to SO loot.

    Just did a full SP respec on my VR14 sorcerer which as of now is the only real toon on my account after reading the patch notes and see even farther nerfs to sorcs, and is going to turn it into a alt that is just for max crafting, and then reroll a another class other then sorcerer. It's adapt or die time right, so I choose to adapt to the sorc just being a class filler in this game and then over come with a new class that has ZOS support behind it, simple as that. I already have many friends who are sorcs or have a sorc alt who are doing the same or quitting the game. Sad to see a class that I loved in some many other games come to this in this game, but it is what is is. I also just change factions because I really hate AD the faction where everybody wants to lead and nobody wants to follow and have ADD for the most part. I am joining EP, I am a really serious PvP player and and is looking for a serious EP pvp guild my toon name is Majestic Devastator. That's all the ranting I am going to do for the day and hopefully for a long time.

    I ran into an unbeatable Heritance Cutthroat in the Auri-El temple in Vulkhel Guard. Fireballs, lightning, Timmy my pet Clannfear, nothing could dent his health. He had to kill me first, I had to respawn there, and let the Battlereeve whats-his-name cull him a bit, before I could dent and kill him. Level 8 vs level 4.

    I also had two bookshelves on board of the boat you start on (the Prowler?) in the Aldmeri dominion, that I could steal from. Well, couldn't steal from either, but the words were there. These later vanished by themselves.

    Can we get an opt out on the scaling? Kinda concerning that it kicks in straight away. My usual strategy with bosses is to charge in completely unprepared (I never think to check my bars, for I am a dope), see what he does, then adjust accordingly. I don't want a difficulty adjust before I've even tried.

    Having just done the Enchanting crafting writ, I noticed that the lesson to deconstruct the glyph you just made is no longer done. Is this correct? It was nice to learn both constructing and deconstructing.

    More crafting problems.
    After having finished the Alchemy/Cooking/Magicka writs, I now only have the option on the billboard to do those writs.
    I no longer have the option in my Journal or from the Carpentry/Clothing/Smithing billboard to learn about the other writs. No arrow either to what's her name who does these writs.
