    May we please have clarification on whether Absorb Shields are now subject to critical hits? The change to Critical Surge implies that they might be, but the other nerf to Shields lists only the -15% values in Cyrodiil.

    This is an important issue for LA casters, and it's difficult to test.

    Does the Burning Spellweave light armor set you get from City of Ash still have the change in 1.6 from spell crit to weapon crit? If so, please change it back to what it was before 1.6. Putting weapon crit on that set is ridiculous and wastes all the time and effort put into running that dungeon to try to get it to drop.

    Are you joking with this? Nerfs across the board for Sorcerers. Do you think there are many topics about Sorc popping up every day because the class is in a good place? I'm really concerned about how you are adjusting these patch notes and the fact that Sorc still receives 0 stamina love. Expert Mage change was a VERY hard nerf for stamina Sorc as well too. Please do a QA with some Sorc players I beg you because you need to badly.

    Those are not nerfs across the board. Lightning Splash just got better. Expert Mage just got better. Surge not triggering when someone had a shield up got fixed. Only overload got nerfed a bit and it's still OP, guys in our guild are doing top DPS (by far) using just overload/light attack weaves.

    How can I take your post seriously when you claim people are using overload with light attack weaves?

    Lightning Splash had its cost increased by 10%. Expert Mage will only increase Sorc dps by 2-3%. NO ONE USES SURGE BECAUSE ENTROPY AND RALLY ARE BETTER ALTERNATIVES.

    There are multiple videos of sorcs killing multiple people. So I guess Sorcs need more nerfs.

    It truly does suck that we (Sorcs) get promised some buffs in 6.1.3 to even out the class trees so that togglemancer is not the only way to get decent DPS, and yet here we are with even more of our abilities nerfed into the ground.

    Its a shame, I was really really looking forward to 6.1.3 >.<

    One more minor update to go. ZoS: PLEASE actually listen to the community regarding Sorc changes (And actual players who play the class, try to ignore the advice/opinions of any posters who cry about not being invincible or whatever the case)

    @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ If there was interest in providing Stamina-based sorcs more interest in sorcerer abilities, could the Expert Mage passive be changed to 2% power per Sorcerer Ability (both weapon and spell).

    There is usually only 1-3 sorcerer abilities on a stamina builds bar.

    Also, please bring back the Exploitation passive, that was an awesome increase in Weapon Crit for Stamina builds from using Dark Magic Skills.

      This is some bull, is the dragon knight even a tank anymore? I saw alots of changes, the dragon knight has gotten more than nerfed. dragon blood, reflective scale, petrify, dragon knight passives, and many more i'm sure! wtf is this. Spyro the dragon could last longer than you in battle now. I got my templar in the works to....its hard enough as a dragon knight with a range of about 20 meters. templars have like 35 meters or more in PVP... and tanking skills and heals. You think that inferno is a improvement but no this not you dont do aoe damage, just some bull fireball that shoots every 6 secs and alil spell crits. yep the devs basically want the dragon knight to stomp a hole in the ground with igneous shield and put there heads in it with their a$$ up so they can get butt ***.

      All magicka build classes (except sorc) have a single target ability that you can spam that deals more damage than force pulse. Sorcs are the only class (magicka build) that is forced on using destro abilities. I don't want to use it them anymore. I want an instant cast ability that hits as hard as the many abilities that other classes have.

      DK Ultimate "Standard of Might" provides awesome damage and awesome mitigation for the caster - this mitigation stacks with everything. This ultimate also reduces incoming healing on the enemy, it also provides a damage buff to the caster.

      Templar Ultimate "Nova" provides awesome damage and awesome mitigation for the group - this mitigation stacks with everything.

      Nightblade Ultimate "Vail of Blades" provides awesome damage and awesome mitigation for the group - this mitigation stacks with everything.

      Sorc Ultimate "Nagate" provides dispelling of abilities unless it is a boss fight and for how long? Instant? The mitigation for the ability is the same mitigation you get from Circle of Protection (an active ability) and does not stack with it?

      How is this balanced?

      Negate should provide real mitigation (that stacks with everything) and do damage like all the other ultimates. Please FIX Nagate or nobody will use it in PvE.

      You're correct though, in 6.1.3 they may very well get buffed to where you want them. However, this is 1.6.3, so that's going to be a while.

      Siphoning Strikes: Reduced the damage penalty for having Siphoning Strikes active by 5%. Also, this ability (all ranks and morphs) can now trigger off of doing damage to player characters that are using damage mitigation shields.

      Sorcs don't need to be the new DK's. They're already far beyond that in 1.6 from my theorycrafting and testing for PVP purposes...I spent a few days and have come up with multiple builds that are positively brutal for PVP so much so that it'll make my quite-powerful DK look like a joke (I've yet to do any pve theorycrafting for the sorc since I don't have any particular want to play one for raids/etc and will just continue using my dk for those purposes).

      You are a smart guy and I respect you as a player, but from what I highlighted here it is obvious you are not listening the the major complaints made by sorc players.

      I bet you'll tell me who do want to join a PvE raid with your sorc for some innocuous reason, but the fact of the matter is that competitive PvE raiders would rather *not* have a sorc in their whereas in PvP land, from which you are repeating stuff we sorc players have *already acknowledged*, sorcs are valuable and potentially decisive.

      Positive feedback: The new loading screens are great. I've only seen a few of them but I don't remember seeing so many new ones in 1.6.1.

      So just by inspecting the new improvments on sorc i quite said "pissed off"

      In patchnotes and Tooltip says there is a 2% Dmg increase from Passiv now. I skilled it and just watch dmg on my magee wrath.

      934 dmg without anything else slotted or skilled then passiv and mage wrath.

      Slotting mage wrath it pumps up the dmg by 2% as ai read in passiv skill description.
      So lets have a look at mage wrath now.
      Remember nothing skilled only passiv skill and mage wrath.
      It has now 944 dmg.
      Hmm lets do the math.

      934 * 1,02 = ? Right 952 dmg is the right number in math but not in ESO logical.

      So next step.
      I filled up my bar with nonsen skills from Stormcaller tree and reach the +12% Dmg bonus in Tooltip from the Passiv Skill.

      So lets do again the math.
      Remember, mage wrath 934 dmg without impacting other skills.

      934 * 1,12 = ? Right 1046.08 dmg
      What we see in tooltip from mage wrath? Right 991.
      So i'm missing something if i'm now wrong or?

      So i realy hope this is just an bug otherwise it's the next hidden nerf i guess.

      Sorcerer 1.6 nerfs so far:
      -negate is pretty much useless, it was out biggest strength during trails and large scale pvp. The ulti changes would have been enough nerf imo. Because you cant get your ulti up by spamming healing springs there wont be nearly as much negates as there are currently on the live server.
      -encase has very low damage and a delay which makes it even worse in pvp.

      -crit surge is useless and it costs 10% more, lol really? Just remove this entire skill and give us an instant lightning damage ability or good DOT. This is just ridiculous.
      -bolt escape costs 10% more and if casted within 4 sec 20% more, so now you definitely wont get away. This really needs change imo because how can you escape if you're already low on magicka? At least increase the distance by 20% if you increase the cost.
      -mages fury costs 10% more while the damage is still average for an execute, the damage should scale up when the target is low on health. Just like impale or executioner for example.
      -Liquid Lightning has no bonus damage when placing, this

      Pets got buffs, great for sorcs who like them but I personally dont know a single sorc from the EU server who likes to play with them. Its also ridiculous that they take up so much bar space, I wont play sorc with only 2 active abilities per bar. A possible solution would be to make slot 5 for toggles so it stays on if you switch weapons.

      Other nerfs that affect LA magicka dps sorcs greatly:

      All shields are 15% weaker in cyrodiil AND can be crit on. Both changes are way too much imo. This is the only way to gain some survivability with LA, sorcs have no self heal so how are we supposed to survive two-handed attacks? They melt hardened ward (the only shield against phyiscal attacks) and our health down in 3 attacks. This forces sorcs to go MA stamina build or HA magicka build if we want to survive more than 3 attacks. HA will siginificantly decrease dps making us even more useless. Will most dps sorcs go MA two-handed? I thought the NB was the stamina dps class? Whats so hard about making the sorc a solid magicka dps class?

      LA now offers now almost no protection against physical and spell damage. I would like an explanation why MA offers more protection against spell damage than LA. Its just completely ridiculous to have no downside for using MA. LA should give low physical resist and high spell resist, MA should give some physical and some spell resist, why would you even wear HA when MA gives stamina and damage bonuses and 75% of the resistance?

      Crushing shock damage has been decreased by 10%. This is a nerf for all magicka dps classes but probably 95% of the sorcs are using this skill so it affects many of us. I had the feeling on the pts stamina builds were doing too much dps, clearly ZOS doesnt agree with me on this..

      My sentiments exactly. As I said in another thread when I was hoping that they would add spell damage to existing passive:

      1+1-1 =STILL 1! Or more accurately +2-3% in damage does not equal buff if at the same time you subtract 10% cost reduction. Perhaps people would be less angry if you increased damage by 10%.Or even more accurately:

      So to lay out my point. In a PvE boss fight where the dps's are spamming executes I will be doing less damage because the amount of times I can cast my ability is less than the spell power dps increase i get from the new passive.

      In terms of PvE dps I would say this is a nerf. PvP wise it seems to be a burst damage buff
      Not sure how this is supposed to be a buff/addition to a weaker class, when you have taken something else away!

      As if I needed less reason to use surge.Actually let me edit that sentence to be correct: As if I needed less reason to use my sorcerer.

      Not going to happen if they meet their plan to put it live next week, even if that means end of the week not the beginning that only leaves 7 days and I see little to no sign they think a further test will be needed; at best they may do a limited one I guess to see if the mega-damage bug has finally been stomped on.

      Clearly ZOS don't understand the problems, likely due to their only looking at PVP and talking to end-game guilds like Hodor, ER, etc. whose players are just so different from the rest of us their views really only represent them: the 'normal' Sorc at 1.5 just got destroyed by 1.6 in PVE to pander to PVP QQ, Negate being simply the most obvious and the one cited last week as the justification for the mega-nerf on that skill alone.

      934 * 1,02 = ? Right 952 dmg is the right number in math but not in ESO logical.

      So next step.
      I filled up my bar with nonsen skills from Stormcaller tree and reach the +12% Dmg bonus in Tooltip from the Passiv Skill.

      So lets do again the math.
      Remember, mage wrath 934 dmg without impacting other skills.

      934 * 1,12 = ? Right 1046.08 dmg
      What we see in tooltip from mage wrath? Right 991.
      So i'm missing something if i'm now wrong or?

      So i realy hope this is just an bug otherwise it's the next hidden nerf i guess.

      Cause the passive increases the Spelldmg, not the dmg itself directly.
      Spelldmg is just a part of the whole tooltip dmg calculation.
