9-trait item set, “The Twice Born Star” considered laughable

Maybe a bonus based on what tier (trait level) the armor set is.

If you take a look at THIS site (i use this one for reference), you see that a bonus on a 2 trait item is the same as that of a 9 trait item.

Why not increase the bonus based on the Trait Level. Something like:
2 Traits: 100% Value (as it is now).
    3 Traits: 150% Value.
    4 Traits: 200% Value.
    5 Traits: 250% Value.
    6 Traits: 300% Value.
    7 Traits: 350% Value.
    8 Traits: 400% Value.
    9 Traits: 450% Value.
(No bashing about numbers... its just for the example)

    Small example:
Death's Wind set (2 trait set):
    (2) Items: 1890 armor
    (3) Items: 1417 health
    (4) Items: 1417 health
    (5) items: (same as now)

    Orgnum's Scales (8 trait set):
    (2) Items: 504 health regeneration
    (3) Items: 5668 health
    (4) Items: 5668 health
    (5) items: (same as now)

Way of the Arena (8 Trait set):
    (2) Items: 5668 Health
    (3) Items: 3780 Magicka
    (4) Items: 3780 Stamina
    (5) items: (same as now)

Twice Born Star (9 Trait set):
    (2) Items: 6377 Health
    (3) Items: 4253 Stamina
    (4) Items: 4253 Magicka
    (5) items: (same as now)

Spell/ Weapon damage and Crit Rates, Armor ratings, and even healing percentages (Shalidors Curse and Twilights embrace) will increase according to the tier of armor they are on.

So the general consensus is that it is still garbage?

I can tell you this set is very good for PvE Healing, at least from a NB perspective. I was able to achieve ~32K Magicka while still having 19-20K Health and even got a reasonable 10K Stamina in my 2nd Healing build, my other build is purely sustain and stacks cost reduction/regen. I'm seeing Heals as large as Templars with my new 5pc twice Born setup ;)

Twice born star looks slight better for weapon based builds. Consider that having the 1280 stamina buff + the 140 weapon damage buff vs the hunding rage set. A full divine Twice born stam set of 7 armor pieces would net 758 power with 213 of it being raw weapon power from the warrior mundus stone. While a fully stamina infused hunding rage set with 7 armor pieces would net 725 power with 299 of it being raw weapon power from the 5 piece set.

It should have more stamina and regen as well. Every other stat it tries to beat would probably be worse though. Considering the effort I think the effect should be far more visible or at least unique than making slightly bigger numbers.

Dag! Everyone here is talking about this set so horribly. So let me tell you this set is NOT CRAP. There are deffinetly better sets out there. So above poster did some math and showed how the divine buffed warrior stone still gives less than hunding rage. The thing is that this set allows you to have just over 2/3s of the binding set bonus for weapon damge AND an extra bit of health/ mag/ crit/ crit damage. allowing you to drop some health from another piece of gear for MORE stamina/ stamina regen/ crit/ or reduced Stamina cost. This set is really incredible. I have been able to boost my health to 32,400 health/ 12,200 stamina/ 21,000magicka, with moderate regens, for stamina and magicka and over 2100 armor. Of course I still have a two piece rings set/ 3 piece footmans in head shoulders neck/ two piece seducers in shield and sword/ and an off bar resto staff to go with the rings...im a tank. I rarely run out of magicka/stamina. So...this set allowed me to really push the envelope on my stats...i swear by this set.

Oh and a side note...no other set allows you to change you five piece bonuses. You can go from weapon damage/ health to max magicka/ magicka regen and back again in ten minures

No it's not crap in 1.6, yes it WAS garbage in 1.5.8. This thread was started back before 1.6 hit Live servers, which is why you see most of the comments the way they are. I love it for my 2nd Healing build, so much Magicka with it and my Heals = Templar Heals with it (I'm a NB).

Thanks @DeLindsay I may try it, it seems that all 5+ trait sets are VERY underwhelming compared to drop sets. I seem to remember ZoS saying that crafted sets were supposed to be the best in game.

    Yeah right.
