Mercenaries would fight for one side. They fought for money, but they were not free agents, they were paid to fight for a side, and were bound by to that side until the war was over.
As a general rule mercenaries that changed sides were not trusted, and given the missions that would get most of them killed. Mercenaries didn't swap sides constantly, as no-one would employ fighter without some code of conduct.
Q: In end game on ESO, will the Crafting gear be equivalent or better then dungeon drops?
A: Crafted gear of equal level and equal quality rating is always better than dropped gear from a numerical standpoint. Weapons do more damage, armor has more… armor. However, certain enchantments can only be found on drops. Crafters can always improve those items which have unique enchantments.
Q: Is the gear we create on par with the highest level gear we can get from drops?
A: Yes, or better.

Hmm, I see. Maybe something else then than mercenary?
.. A hired blade, perhaps? Or is that exactly the same as mercenary?
I am confused now.
Eh, anyway, just being able to play and go everywhere without belonging into an alliance would be neat, especially in RP sense. If you would like to PvP maybe you could go running around as a neutral..?

- When are Shields going to be dyable?
- Also can we have metallic style dyes for our weapons, some of the colours we get are off-putting, and we would like to dye them colours we can live with?
- When can we craft jewellery?
- Will we ever get a barbershop, so we can change hairstyles and maybe tatoos and scars.

Also, what should Templars expect from Update 1.6 with respect to the Dawn's Wrath skill line overhaul?Hello and thank you for doing this. I have two main question:
1: Backlash and its morphs cannot currently surpass their listed cap with critical hits, is this intended? Along those lines, there have been several posts about the efficacy of various templar skills and resource regeneration (or lack-thereof), what can we look forward to short-term, long term? Please give us some specifics.
2: There was mention of abilities with effects that were "too powerful for this creature" getting some tweaks so that they had some effect, either a lesser one, or entirely different, on said creatures. (For example: Eclipse and Blinding Light from templar and encase on Sorcerers).

you don't see jewelry on your character, so why would you want to have jewelry dying??? lol

Haven't asked for jewellery dyeing, I asked for crafting Jewellery, so I can make the rings and amulets I want. (stats and maybe set bonuses)
I also asked for Shields and weapons to be dyed, but not pink or any other silly colour (oh alright you can dye your shield pink, just don't let me see it).
Joining one of the bandit factions in Cyrodiil would work in terms of a story-based proposal, with the goal of looting soldiers as your "daily" bounty. This would make the Fighter's Guild bounty missions more interesting/they could be expanded, with more XP for more notorious raiders (justice system tie-in). No AP since you aren't in an Alliance.akselmoieb17_ESO wrote: »Not sure there is a believable way for a player to be completely neutral.
The idea isn't a bad one, just not quite right for the way ESO is set up.
