This! For whatever reason it seems that fps got worse again with one of the latest patches. Not even going to talk about the horrid lag (auriel's bow, eu). It's a shame really.jelliedsoup wrote: »1.2.6 has made mine worse.
Game client is not starting for me after the hotfix. I see Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe in the task manager with a slowly increasing amount of memory used. It has been working for 15+ minutes. Anyone experiencing something similar?

My Launcher will eventually crash my computer if I leave it up for hours. It increases in memory used by 12 to 24 kb every second until it's in the millions. Execution time it uses around 90,000-95,000 kb and within hours (3-5 hours) it's at 5 to 6 *million* and eventually just crashes everything (8 - 10 hours).
So if this leak is not going to be fixed can you please just kill the launcher after hitting [Play]?
Also it uses 3-5% CPU usage, always. How about have it not use any CPU time? It *shouldn't* be doing anything until I interact with it (or start it).
Sorry but I think you are out of line with Cogo and disagree greatly with your blanket rejection. He makes no guarantee and PC hardware varies widely. He isn't claiming any hardware or client game solution over the more likely culprit--ZOS's game code itself.
I am not out of line. This is a FPS thread not how to maintain your PC thread. Most what he blathered on about has nothing to do with the current issue. So why don't you two go hold hands over there somewhere and let those of us trying to figure out this issue do so. K. THX.

We do so in an effort to maintain as fair and high quality a gameplay experience as possible for our players. In a recent round of client security enhancements, we made a change that interacted with some of the client’s gameplay systems in a way we didn’t anticipate. Specifically, this had to do with resource contention (when two or more threads of execution are trying to simultaneously access the same data) that could occur when performing certain security checks from multiple threads at the same time. Certain high-load combat scenarios are where you were most likely to encounter the issue.
Today’s hotfix included performance enhancements to these security measures that made improvements in average frames-per-second as well as frame-time stability. We will continue to monitor how these and other security enhancements effect performance, and will continue to make improvements.
Thanks for your patience and support as we work toward making The Elder Scroll Online the best game it can be!
