Although still the highest DPS and survivability class in the game, it brings joy to my heart every time I see one of these threads emerge.
It honestly brightens my day.
Here's my two cents.
DK is not broken, your skills as a player are.

I had to see just how "rough" DK play is, so I rolled a VR9 DK on the PTS.
Literally the first thing I did was solo-derp rolled a anchor.... -.-
So, what exactly is just so terrible about DK's now?

I just rolled a DK on the PTS, VR9 spec'd with a few things I thought looked decent, ran to an anchor, rolled my face across the keyboard and destroyed it.
I don't see what they're complaining about. They still have the highest DPS and survivability in the game. What else do they want? lol

So your entire thread is premised on two letters and a number: L2P. Thank you for the clarification and bringing an original and creative idea to the forums. I don't know where we as a community would be without you. Go roll a non dunmer, non cloth, non staff wielding DK and do the same thing. Make sure you do it in an on level zone too. I will wait for your results. I trust you are a very credible play tester and wouldnt even think to lie or exaggerate. Oh, while your at it why dont you make one of each class specced as light armor/ staff and post us on those results too. The community appreciates your contributions.2 -

while I question the validity of your post, I'll stop just short of calling anyone a liar.
I will ask this though, build a DK, I would suggest s+b as primary and 2h as secondary. both of those are stamina based builds. So essentially I'm challenging you to build out your best DK tank and/or DK 2h DPS build. Download FRAPS and post you steamrolling any veteran anchor in the manner in which you describe.
I wouldn't mind seeing a comparison video of you doing it in a light armor/staff setup as well.
Personally, I've thus far refused to play my DK as a mage, but have suffered for it. My VR7 DK basically feels useless now to the point where it's just not even fun playing him anymore (and as a result, not at all since my alt is a NB..). I implore you (or anyone) to make that video and show me just what it is that I'm doing wrong with either a s+b build, or a 2h dps build. Rather than just tell me to 'l2p', show me what it is that I need to learn.
I'm not too prideful to think I can't learn something new. In fact, I'm still one of those suckers that tries to make sure I learn something new every day (today I learned how to convert a Citrix SQL express db to a SQL 2012 Clustered db). So again, I challenge you to show me just how easy it is and post the results, because I sure do miss playing the fun version of ESO before the nerfs drove this type of char into the ground.
Someone else had a great post about how he liked to charge in, smash some *** skulls, and destroy ***. Well, that's how I like to play too. That's fun for me and what made the game so damn enjoyable (until the last few patches just destroyed it). They just unbalanced the wrong things.

I can take on pretty much anything in pve but after rhe patch I could no longer do anything in pvp. I dont mind it I just think they nerfed them a little too much considering the point of the dk. And if you have read any of the in game lore about them it shows that they are supposed to be extreamly powerful. I do want to wnd this saying that I am continuing to play my dk I just hope they tone back the nerfing on them soon

I'll look tomorrow for a decent, free recording program and do that for you if I can find one.
Although I'll do it with medium armor and dual wield (as I did earlier today), I'll also attemp it with 1h/shield as that's the secondary bar I made anyway.

Edit: it's even the crap gear they give you. I didn't craft or buy anything. So it's mostly green with some junk jewelry.

Unfortunately, zenimax's "road ahead" is calling for more nerfs to be rolled out for the foreseeable future.1
