english german and france thing mixing them all together I have seen racism and lots of it from german english and france fighting over the mainchat
there is even guilds with far right names even islamic guilds with radical names
this needs to stop now zenimax some of theses guild are really radical groups and far right movements in the real world and sorry for all of you who takes it the wrong way

but this needs to stop now not later

    I have seen some intolerant speech in zone chat. Concerning which language is or is not welcome in that zone.

    The only real out and out unpleasantness, I have seen is conversations about British Immigration, and social issues. Not really suitable subject matter for general chat. No far right or anti Islamic names or guild names.

    Hmm, i dont have seen many insults, mostly everyone agrees to talk english. I still prefer a mixed server, i like to play with guys from spain, norway, denmark, UK, france, germany etc !

    I've seen the usual ignorant banter from bigots in zone chat but as for 'far right racist guilds' and 'Islamic radicals' I've not seen any of this.

    Sounds like an EU server problem. We one the NA Server dont discriminate, we just talk trash to everyone.

    I've yet to see zone chat discuss ' appropriate languages ' on the NA server, I assumed the OP was discussing the EU server.

    Yes, the greatest problem with MMOs is they let all these people play.

    Nothing will ever change the fact that the majority of the world is populated by vile people who hate each other.

    Just ignore it and move on.... at least you will live a happier life that way.

    I can't say I've noticed any inappropriate chat in the zone chat channel.

    Then again, there's a reason I have it disabled, as I do in most MMOs I play...

    Has not really had much problems, yes you have some French and German in zone chat usually guild recruitment. Not much of an issue.
    Had one who could not speak English in a group doing a public group dungeon.

    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    I haven't noticed any real racist behaviour in the general chat however I have witnessed some unpleasant talk when non-English speakers have a lengthy conversation there. Most of it is referring them to their own language chat channel.

    For anyone who dislikes hearing another language in the general chat then I would suggest they move over to their own language channel though I bet it would be empty :)

    Unfortunately many are unaware of the friendly banter/rivalries that occur among Brits and it can sometimes sound serious to those living elsewhere. Having said that we're not alone and I know in other parts of the European mainland differing opinions can be quite heated between nationalities. :)

    I have seen the five star movement in eu and al shabab also very bad and needs to be stopped because its gonna get to the point where you gonna have in game stuff becoming real life stuff pretty much someone will say something and take it to heart it needs to stopped fast it happened in wow few years ago and some other mmo games

    That by itself is a good thing. I'm reading all three forum sections, English German and French, and i'm glad the "Recent Discussions" shows all 3 languages so i don't have to dig for new posts in each language subforum.

    The reason for the hate is because the communities tradionally have been seperated. There's very little hate towards the Nordic communities, that's because they've always played on the English servers, and you generally don't hate the people who you play with.

    The problem is that the population in Germany, France, Italy and Spain dosen't learn English at school, or atleast didn't in the past. In my opinion it's on the border to abuse of the population when in this Internet age you don't learn English by default in school.

    If all the countries mix most players will eventually learn English, since that the most used language. That atleast happend in AoC. The language barrier used to be a problem and then the players slowly learned English. Then the hate towards certain countries were reduced.

    Do we agree? The internet is a global community; Don't like it? Then please, kindly go elsewhere. There really is nothing to agree about... if you cannot read what is written, then obviously it isn't meant for you. I hate seeing the heavily bastardised version of English which the gamers from the US use, but you do not see me asking people to not use it or write exactly as I do. Nor should anyone else, if someone from Germany, or the USA wants to write in German, that is their choice. Doing it on the NA server is likely to have them crying for a group, or trying to sell something for a long time... using English would probably have them finished faster, but that is their choice and no one can tell them otherwise.

    OP, I understand that you are seeing things that either covertly racist or maybe even overtly so. If these people start harassing others then ZOS will deal with it because it is against the ToU/AuP/Licensing agreement. When you see these, report them and let ZOS investigate. We do not need them to start censoring the server and forcing people to do things one way and one way only, but we can expect them to deal with the problems when they arise.

    Hlaren_shortsheath: If you dislike the internet being multi-lingual there are many other places you can go and play.
