pretty much this. 2 classes are all but unplayable except maybe by using staffs/light and i,m guessing most folk who rolled templar and rogue didnt do it because they wanted to use a staff to function.

this is a deal breaker for lots of folk. its easy to overlook a multitude of flaws if you enjoy playing the character you chose in the manor of your choosing.... otherwise

I play a VR+ nightblade. DW. It is far from unplayable. Some things don't work as intended, sure, but I'm starting to think you're just doing it wrong.

i cant comment on nb's . but i can say temps in melee range are suicide and i,m vet 12 and have tried everything. i refused to go staffs except for healing in dungeons up till they broke jabs and at the same time nerfed shields, that added to how underwhelming heavy armour is in general added to the engima that is armour and spell resist mitigation .

i finally had to either admit defeat or go staffs light armour. but i was already vet 10 and just grinded v12 in kardala.
my arguement is that from having all choices available to me pre-vet mode it has been narrowed to one for templars..

You're being too negative, along with at least 50% of the threads on this forum.
I feel sorry for ZOS, the developers, game masters and the customer support. Seriously. I wish everyone would just take a step back and calm the hell down.

The potential is still there. You have to actually want to play it. I mean actually play it. Not rush through content and complain when there's nothing left. Just my .02.

ZOS workers, at least the devs, seem adequately paid and happy. Why would you feel sorry for them?

Yeah, some of them are over the top, but there's a reason there are so many.

Using the Elder Scrolls name generated huge expectations. Bigger for this game than any given other MMO - fair or not.

Some are upset that this isn't a traditional MMO. 10x12-slot toolbar, timer combat, macro-heavy, min-max friendly

    Nope:
    • Lack of content.
    • Bugs.
    • VR leveling is super boring
    • Barren zones.
    • Too much on rails, themepark.
    • No open world.
    • No sandbox elements.
    • Bad, broken or boring game mechanics.
    • Doesn't feel like a elder scrolls game.
    • Doesn't feel like a mmo but more like a multilayer meant for consoles.

I think that covers most of the problems with ESO atm.

You could not be further from the truth if you tried.

40-100k isn't all that.. and the bonus is 3k. Still need a dual income.. willing to bet most adults that play this game make around the same.
Only someone immature would believe that 40k A YEAR is a lot of money. Even 100k isn't that great these days.

You think because they get paid a salary for doing their jobs that I shouldn't feel sorry for them having to deal with really overly-demanding customers? Customers that are often just down right rude? They are people just like me and some of you. They don't make great money and have to deal with *** just like anyone else that works in customer service. The gaming community is more critical than any other I have ever seen.

    Excuse me for being empathetic.

Lol swtor took the first 2 months off.. whatever they released with raids/daily quest zones/multiple bgs open world pvp, just about everything that gives an mmo any meaning after max lvl. eso released with nothing except a quickly added VR system nobdy wants to have to complete that is put there only to delay people from reaching max level (and leaving) and craglorn patch doesnt even nearly push it into the state were its actually ready to be released

Players are leaving and the game is getting many bad reviews on Youtube. Many potential players will ask their friends or check the reviews before buying the game and right now, it's kinda negative. The problem is that players are not willing to give ESO a chance. Why? Because after so many years of mmorpg's (since 1999 for me) we expect the devs and whoever are in charge of making a game, to know the market and know what it is players want?

They went with an hybrid concept that turn out not being very enjoyable to play. Sure the story is good but you need more then that to keep a player base. Players are leaving, that's it, it tells a lot by itself.

It will probably end up rapidly with a small steady player base... you know, like what usually happens to a good game after some years. Only this time it's happening in the 3 first months geez! I don't want it to happen but I cannot lie to myself that everything is going alright.

Just hit VR6 on my main and still having fun solo questing through the content.

No major bugs or problems. Game stable. Good looking world.

Amazing the expectation level of entertainment from some for a whopping $15 a month. Before MMO's I used to spend at least $50 on new single player games every month.

Mate , the gods themselves must look after you , if really got to vr6 without problems.

I got to vr 9 and i still get broken quests , a world boss that doesnt matter if i kill , it does not count , ofc we cant forget , all the time i spent doing enough quests for the achivs of each zone i got past , all gone , today i tried that craglorn zone , got 2 crashes in the first 5 mins there "unknown error" ...

And dont get me started on the balance of the game itself.

There are plenty of problems right now , atleast that is what i see from where im sitting.

There are certainly problems need fixing in the game. But online right now at 11 p.m. EST on a weekday are 74 guidies, and we have over 20 VR10+.

Between beta and now I have at least 600 hours of game play, so even if the servers shut down tomorrow I got my moneys worth. An MMO that even half works is some of the cheapest entertainment money can buy, IMO.

I do not know if Zenimax can keep the game afloat. They seem to be working hard at alienating people.

Despite all that, I believe there are plenty of people out there not having major issues and enjoying the game.
